Did up an I am Captain America variant based on the Steelworker occupation. Did a lot of research on this which really helped put the passion into this piece. Those dudes put their life on the line.

Enjoy

Yet another Avengers Art Appreciation variant which I had a blast doing! This one is a homage to Milton Avery, coined as the American Matisse.

Nothing against the New Thundercats series but I'm not really feeling that Manga look at all although I'm sure the story will be pretty cool. I wanted to rock what I'd play with for a design. I'll illustrate the rest of the TCats crew later down the line to see what the whole thing would look like ;)

It's HERE! The New UK Thundercats magazine is out today! :D - I've had my copy through this morning and I'm really pleased with how it looks :)

Be sure to head out to your local newsagents to pick up your copy while they last! ^_^

I figured I'd post this page up on here since ~lewstringer [link]

For The Line is Drawn this week we were doing Jonah Hex tributes. Not only did I get to draw Jonah Hex, The Rocketeer, AND Nazis, but I threw Indiana Jones in there for fun. Cause he's awesome.

Done for last week's The Line is Drawn column, we did comic book characters at sporting events. And since I'm not the biggest sports person in the world, I nabbed the Quidditch match suggestion.

I only wish I had more time to fully color it. Never say never, I might go back and finish it up soon. Time will tell.

This week we did "Superheroes Getting Different Jobs" and wouldn't it be weird to have Rorschach hovering over the couch at your therapist's office?

I have stuff I really should have been working on instead, but I haven't done the vintage comic colour treatment on anything for a while, and I couldn't pass up the chance on this'n.

I'm doing a few new drawings for cereal:geek and that got me thinking about whether I had any kicking-around my hard disk that I had never uploaded to dA. Turns out I did. This is from last year. As with most of the cereal:geek pieces I do, the premise and basic layout came from the editor, James Eatock: Lion-O's watching VHS tapes of Thundercats. A still from the TV show and some box covers were added-in by the colourist for the magazine.

edit: I originally uploaded a greyscale version of this, but I saw that I had a colour version knocking-around, too -- which I liked better. So I've done a switcharoo, here.

Another illo for the Power-Con/Thundercon special edition of cereal:geek. Pleased with the composition on this one; not quite as pleased with some of the execution.

Ink on paper, colours in GIMP.

Neither of these characters were ever that cool to me, but people like them, so there you go. I actually didn't mind Booster Gold when he was in the Justice League animated series.

Some more Civil War re-designs of some X-folk. I've had some good suggestions of who else to do, like Colossus, Forge, Psylock, etc. What say you? I'm sticking primarily to X-men as they've always felt like a "military" bunch to me.

Here is the first colored version, different from the final on the show. He felt a bit circus ringleader, so I made some adjustments.
