Shipping and Handling Chap. 9A warm, cheerful summer morning always succeeded in lifting the spirits of the residents of Ponyville, and this morning was no different. The sunlight bathed every inch of town with its soothing rays, signaling to everypony the start of another carefree summer day. It seemed there wasn't anypony for miles who was anything less than perfectly content.Shipping and Handling Chap. 9 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Anypony, that is, save for a certain grey pegasus, who was slowly being consumed by her own anxiety.
Ditzy trudged silently toward the front doors of Equestria Speedy Shipping Services. She opted not to fly for once; her distracted state of mind combined with her already poor vision had led her to several aerial accidents this morning alone, leading to a few hundred bits of property damage, and a splitting headache for the pegasus.
Ditzy couldn't understand what was holding her back anymore; a whole month had passed since Breeze had visited for dinner, yet the mare still hadn't told Dinky the truth about her job.

The tiny unicorn squealed with delight as she gazed upon her surprise party. The backyard of the little cottage had been transformed into a veritable filly's wonderland. Several tables were laid out, covered in festive tablecloths and adorned with balloons. A mountain of colorfully wrapped gifts was piled in on one of them, and the rest were laden with large amounts of sweets. There was even a huge custom birthday cake, a real one, professionally prepared at Sugarcube Corner, instead of the muffin topped with a candle Dinky was used to receiving on her birthday.
Many of the fillies and colts from Dinky's class at school stood in the yard as well. Dinky immediately recognized the trio who called themselves the Cutie Mark Crusaders, as well as Pipsqueak, the new colt who had moved from Trottingham a few months earlier. Twist, the geeky but friendly filly who sat next to Dinky in class,

Kilowatt Hour in: Imagine That!
To say that Kilowatt Hour was an underappreciated pony was, put quite simply, a gross understatement.
For one thing, Watt was the only electrician in Ponyville, and one of a very small number in the whole nation of Equestria. The earth pony was solely responsible for keeping any and all electrical appliances in the small town working.
Unfortunately, the average resident of Ponyville was unfamiliar with what electricity was, or where it came from. Most ponies passed it off as another easily obtained commodity provided by the unicorns and their magic. And so Watt went unappreciated by most for his long hours of work.
As far as recognition goes, Watt's other job wasn't much better; working at Equestria Speedy Shipping Services had its perks, but the small company remained largely

Twist sighed and flipped back to the first page of the notebook yet again. "Dinky, are you sure we're not just on a wild goose chase?"
"Yes, I'm sure!" Dinky replied, pounding her front hooves for emphasis. "My mom's hiding something; that much is obvious. You and I need to find out what it is."
Twist rubbed her chin with a hoof for a moment as she thought. "You know, Dinky, usually parents have a good reason for doing what they do. Even if you're right, and your mom really is keeping something from you, maybe it's for the best that it stays that way. Did you consider that?"
Dinky's gaze fell. "I I did think that," she said softly. "That's why I've been feigning ignorance, even though it'

"Hi." Said Breeze bluntly. "You passed out, so I put you on the couch. I'll give you a second to collect yourself, in case coming to grips with your situation makes you faint again."
He chuckled a bit, but Ditzy hardly heard him; her head was positively swimming with thoughts as everything Dr. Candyfloss had said and done began to make sense. Dr. Candyfloss was glad to hear I wasn't separated from my husband... she thought, ...because that would mean that there had been poor choices of romantic partner made. He wouldn't hire a matchmaker that had failed to match herself up!

Breeze stomped his front hooves in satisfaction upon hearing the intercom message, and quickly cantered out of Equestria Speedy Shipping Services' Headquarters. Once outside, he bent down and extended his wings, ready to take off.
"Hey Breeze! Wait up!"
Breeze turned to face the source of the familiar female voice, looking up as Ditzy Doo descended and (for once) landed successfully.
"I just got back from a job," Ditzy panted. "Are we done for the day?"
"Yep," Breeze replied. "Candyfloss just announced it was closing time. We're done until Monday."
"Alright, I guess I'll head home then," Ditzy said.
"Which way are you headed?" The male pegasus asked. "Towards Cloudsdale?"
"Well in that general direction," Ditzy replied.

He leaned in much closer to the female pegasus. "And good luck with you know who," he whispered, giving his head a twitch in the direction of a certain blue unicorn, who was ignoring the pegasi and flipping through a magazine as usual.
"I hate being stuck here alone with Glow," Ditzy whispered back.
"Don't let her get under your skin," Breeze replied quietly. "You know she's usually just full of idle threats and empty insults."
Breeze got up and trotted over to the door. "Anyway, see ya'."

Silence reigned for a few moments. Ditzy slowly made her way back toward the side of the room where she and Breeze had been sitting, as far as possi

Shay smiled to his husband, and replied.
- More than anything.
- But... what if i do something so terrible... something monstruous, abominable.
That day, the silver haired angel was acting strange. The odd questions like that were a part of that.
Shay pretended he was meditating the answer, and, giving Jaze a hug, answered softly in his ear.
- Nothing that you do could be monstruous or abominable, because you would have a reasen to do it.
The boy shuddered, wanting to melt in his beloved´s arms... but not yet.
- But you don´t... you don´t know what horrible, abominable things i can do. I have hurt you before, what if i do something that hurts you so much that you may no longer stay by my side?
And then, Jaze started to shed a couple of tears.

A Piece of MyselfI found a piece of myselfA Piece of Myself in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
buried in the soft earth
where I stood long ago
When I shattered
I felt my heart break
And fall to every corner of my life
Even though you healed me
Pieces were still missing
Sections were still wrong
I found a piece of myself
In a place I'd never look
Inside a moment I'd forgotten
My feet drew me to the spot
Where I clawed at the dirt
And found it on accident
I wasn't looking for that piece
But there it was
Waiting for me
I glowed when I saw it
I felt at peace
To find that piece
I found a shard
Not the whole thing
Just a small part of me
I remember seeing a ghost
Maybe he stole the shard
Maybe he returned it
It doesn't really matter
But now that I've found it
I can place it in the puzzle
It gives me hope
To see this shard
That maybe someday I'll find more
I can see a glimpse
Of my whole self
As I once was before
I found a piece of my heart
I found a piece of my soul
I found a piece of myself

The ink is meaningless as it flows forth
The words feel like a droplet in the sand
Will anyone appreciate their worth?
I heard the song you gently sent to me
Although no music for it you had made
I feel your pain inside empathically
And what I feel cuts surely as a blade
The arctic air that passes through my lips
Is never heard above life's roaring din
They see the lofty mountains' whitened tips
But cannot see the priceless gold therein
Is no one there to care for me at all?
Or is my destiny to serve alone?
Now must I simply brace myself up tall?
And ever bear this charge and stay unknown
Are there others like me in this hard world?
The faceless ones who smile invisibly
Who take upon themselves your troubled pain
So you may live above them sure and free?
Here in the silence of the quiet night
Enveloped of my thoughts and sacred tears
Preparing for the next internal fight
That courses from your heart and disappears
I don't mind

The Butler Cold
It was dark when I finally awoke.
Very dark for that matter.
In contrast to the morning, the night had turned nasty and I could hear a faint whistle of wind blowing through some random crevice, with the harsh hiss of rain battering against the balcony doors.
Propping myself up on one hand I found that I was no longer clothed, my body almost fully exposed if it had not been for my pair of undergarments. I would make a note to myself to punish Sebastian accordinly for both undressing me without my permission and allowing me to sleep in such a state.
Regardless of the weather, my body temperature was rather warm and I did not feel the chill in the room. In fact, considering the weather, I was extremely warm. Hot even. Even so, I tugged at the sheets under my duvet and wrapped them around myself allowing them to flop over my shoulders before pushing myself from the bed.
The material dragged along

This was a dream. It was the only explanation for all of it.
I did not have a fever.
The weather was not horrid.
I was not awake, rather, lying asleep in bed.
Grell Sutcliff was not standing in front of me.
As the rain beat against my face, the wind chilling my body to the core, there was only one thing I could feel: the anger and hurt I felt for the man standing before me, upon the ledge of my balcony. The man who single-handedly destroyed one of the last pieces of my normal life.
Every time I saw him and his disgusting grin, it made me sick to my stomach.
Without even thinking, I spoke, my feelings overwhelming me too much.
"What business do you have here, Shinigami? What do you want this time?" I knew that he wasn't truly a man, but a reaper of death. Sent to judge and take lives of the people on Earth. However, the one time tha

Arching my back I close my eyes and push the wooden bow down over the strings of my violin, a melodic sound reaching my ears as I played the first note that was upon the parchment in front of me.
"No, no, no bocchan, this will not do!" From the soft melody to a violent screech, the bow drops down to my side and I clench the handle in my hand firmly.
"Lift your head whilst you arch your back. Bring the instrument further up your shoulder and stand with a little more poise! We can't have you slouching, especially not when you have to perform in front of so many important guests." I bring the violin further up my shoulder and rest my chin at the base, taking a deep breath before standing up straight. The bow was in the air again and before I could play the first note, I was rudely interrupted yet again.

And the world has gone on without me.
I stretch my legs and take a walk outside
And for the very first time I see:
A strange kind of beauty, that is utterly alluring
It calls out to my spirit with the gentlest of cries.
I'm afraid to admit, for it was rather unmanly,
That I left with tears in my eyes...
I can't imagine how I could have forgotten
The very way that I used to walk...
I remember now my habitual actions
And I've even learned to talk!
"Arrr me hearties, good day to ya all
It be a fine day ta sail on tha sea
And if we find a plethora o' treasure;
Then yer drinks are all on me!"
I must admit it that brought me a smile
To be speaking my native brogue.
It reminded me that a dashing man
Should always be a playful rouge.
But that aside I'm feeling better
For now my mind has found its peace.
A comforting sense of order and structure
It's almost as rare as the golden fleece.
