New second version of Batgirl for 2014!

Assembly, customizations and fabrications all by JVcustoms unless otherwise noted.

She is 1/6 scale or roughly 27 cm tall.

Head is from the Petworks Sekiguchi Momoko CCS05AW Victorian Nature Redhead doll.
Eyes were repainted blue and lips were repainted red.  Painted with Vallejo Artist Acrylics and sealed with Vallejo Gloss Varnish.

Body is Volks Beauty D-type.

Outfit is customized from the Mattel Barbie Pink Label Batgirl.
Rare Earth Magnets were installed in boots.

Batcowl/Bathelmet customized from ZC Girls Catwoman Helmet.  The Cat Ears were cut off and replaced with Bat "Ears" from a 1990's Kenner Legends of Batman 1/6 scale Batman figure.  The areas around the base of the Bat "Ears" were filled in with air dry clay and sanded.  Then the whole helmet was sanded and painted black with Vallejo Artists Acrylics and sealed with Vallejo Matte Varnish.

Lisa is the second Simpson I cross stitched, sometime in 2011 or 2012. Getting her pearls round was a challenge. Lisa is 4,154 stitches on 18 count Aida cloth.

Homer was completed with the rest of his family in late 2011/early 2012. He's 3,491 stitches on 18 count Aida. Homer was pretty fun to stitch because I didn't have to do his shirt, too. Saved me some time.

Maggie was the first Simpson I cross-stitched because she's probably my favorite Simpson (tied with Lisa). Maggie is 3,839 stitches on 18 count Aida cloth.

This is Lisa Simpson from Konami's classic arcade brawler based on the very funny TV show. Just because Lisa is a mature, intelligent little girl doesn't mean she can't use a jump rope as a whip and kick some ass.

This was another challenging project because of the large protruding jump rope. I think it turned out quite well.

Here's Marge Simpson holding the youngest of the family, thus completing my set of the Simpsons! Woo! This sprite is from Konami's rad 1991 arcade game and made here from Perler beads.

I had a more accurate color for Marge's dress, but unfortunately I didn't have enough of it. I seem to be running out of a lot of colors lately.

Here they are all together - America's favorite family as they appeared in the 1991 arcade game, made out of Perler beads. All told, this was a pretty big project!

This is the most ambitious hoop I’ve done to date. It took, like, a thousand hours to make but in the end it was totally worth it. Lisa Simpson has been a role model to me since I was 5 years old and I would like to think has been an inspiration to a generation of girls to embrace who they are and to pursue knowledge and truth. She will forever be my Queen.

(this hoop is going on my wall and is not for sale. sorry, guyz.)

Been really into making Simpsons embroideries. This hoop has sold but was 7 inches in diameter.

This hoop features the lovely, Marge Simpson. To be honest, I've always wanted Marge to be my mom. I think she's the best :)

This hoop is currently up for grabs in my shop. Find it here:

Client wanted a Catwoman style mask for a costume party (I believe) so here it is. All leather. Two piece design. The back was left open so she can let her hair down.
