Thoughts on PATCH (Spoilers) + Why so scarce...So, recent episode was... interesting. More interesting than a damn clip episode should be. I still can't believe we have those in 2012, but I suppose when you need to cut back on your budget, that's the way to do it. All I'm going to say is that the season finale BETTER be worth this season having two clip episodes.Thoughts on PATCH (Spoilers) + Why so scarce... in Personal

But, if you're going to do a clip episode, this is how you do it. Not like "Grilled". The fact that you got to cut into the present to see Knock Out and Dreadwing's reactions was already great, but the scenes with Starscream and Megatron were equally interesting. It brought up a LOT of things from the first and second season that either were thought to be filler but now turns out to be very important ("Shadow Zone"), as well as kept with the main focus point of the episode, that being a review of Starscream and why Megatron would allow him back; his strengths, weaknesses, and ultimately why Megatron allowed

The parts with Knock Out were fabulous, from the banter between him and Megatron ("your accident" + that face = reminder of why I love the animators in this series) to his over-the-top puns during his fight with Bumblebee and Arcee, while it was a shorter role than I would have wanted, it was pretty damn good. It brought up events from previous episodes, such as "Tunnel Vision" and "Triage" and found a way to resolve them (though, a little too rushed, if you ask me, which I will discuss later).
The Starscream bits were, as expected, humorous, but at least now they've seemed to be pushing him back into the overall plot, as he now has the hyper speed+bargaining chip (ie, the Omega Key AND the knowledge of what it does). A step in the right direction, though coming rather late
