This has been my favorite local "fairy tale" of all times.
Book by Ellen Niit, illustrations by Edgar Valter.
The story is written in rhymes.
Siis segas meister värve veel,
täis värvimise lusti meel.
Ja kui see töö nii käis ja käis,
sai maail lõpuks värve täis.Its about how the world was all in grey tones and everything was mixed up with everything. XD The people complained about it and then! an artist appeared with his colors. He had three primary colors with him.
And so on one by one he painted things colorful, mixed them together (got the colors purple, green and orange)
When everything had gotten a color of its own, people started complaining that the world is too colorful now. Then the artist took all the colors he had left, mixed them all together and got the color-
white.
He painted a lil´ here and there into white and finally threw the remaining white paint into the air. It started snowing.

So those ppl who didnt like the too colorful world could rest theyre eyes from colors in winter.

I love that story and the illustrations.
You can see all of the original illustrations of the book here-->[link]
All of the estonians should know this story.
