this is quite and old picture but Yulia's expresion just made me want to paint it.

The red head is Lena Katina and the one with the shoocked expresion is Yulia Volkova

A mural I was working on in my bedroom for at least two years--probably longer. I finally finished it last Christmas and got around to uploading it now!
What I imagine it meaning is that I don't control what happens in my life but that's ok because it's not mine anyway.
The face was done with acrylic paint and everything else was done with paint pens. I lost track of how many pens I actually went through (TONS) but I love them anyway. They work great.

Astrina is the very first heroine in the Portrait of a Heroine series! My Portrait of a Heroine series will showcase all the role playing game archetypes or classes. I have been playing games for a long time and love all the different classes involved with role playing games. I've always wanted to draw and paint my own versions of priests, warriors, rogues, etc.... Astrina is my depiction of a magician, also known as mage. Magicians are spell casters and typically wear robes and carry staffs. I drew Astrina holding a staff and also another wand to aid her in battle. Her purple and blue outfit is adorned with many beautiful accents. I really hope that you all enjoy her!

This has been my favorite local "fairy tale" of all times. :giggle:
Book by Ellen Niit, illustrations by Edgar Valter.
The story is written in rhymes.

Siis segas meister värve veel,
täis värvimise lusti meel.
Ja kui see töö nii käis ja käis,
sai maail lõpuks värve täis.

Its about how the world was all in grey tones and everything was mixed up with everything. XD The people complained about it and then! an artist appeared with his colors. He had three primary colors with him.

And so on one by one he painted things colorful, mixed them together (got the colors purple, green and orange)

When everything had gotten a color of its own, people started complaining that the world is too colorful now. Then the artist took all the colors he had left, mixed them all together and got the color- white. :giggle:

He painted a lil´ here and there into white and finally threw the remaining white paint into the air. It started snowing. :)

So those ppl who didnt like the too colorful world could rest theyre eyes from colors in winter. ;)

I love that story and the illustrations.
You can see all of the original illustrations of the book here-->[link]

All of the estonians should know this story. :D

Oh well... Nothing I can do now. It was supposed to be kind of a group work with 4 ppl, but guess who had to overdo the whole painting in the end? :D It took hell of a lot time and Im still not pleased with it... But as I sayed before. Nothing I can do now...

Had a lot of fun with this one. I kicked my Ink all over the place, now my desk & wall & carpet are black.... But hey, the illustration survived the massacre! ^^
