So I'm a little disappointed that no one noticed that I made my Loki pony with my first ever embroidery eyes. :/ It took me a month and a half to learn how to use my new embroidery machine (which I bought just to make pony eyes). And I ended up wasting a lot of thread and material in the experimental process, not to mention time.
Anyway, Loki was the first pony I made them for. All other ponies I made have been made with cotton printed eyes.
I put this little thing together to show the difference between embroidery eyes and the printed cotton eyes.
Over all, embroidery is better quality but costs more and is VERY time-consuming. Also, the threads breaks often, leaving little imperfections/missed stitches in the embroidery. Cotton printed has better color variation, a little cheaper, and faster to make--but water can make the colors run.
If people can't tell the difference, I might just save the embroidery eyes for very special ponies, like Loki.
Loki pony is mine and the latest pony I have completed.
Ginger Snap is a ponysona and gift to my best friend
. She was also the very FIRST chibi pony I made.
