Sniper stood watch, just outside the old travel agency building. Aside from somehow withstanding the rest of the block collapsing around it, the shop was impressive for having reasonably preserved brochures. Captain and Pilot would often amuse themselves by planning trips to countries that no longer existed, and Engineer would gather what they discarded for kindling. Whenever Sniper grew sufficiently bored, he'd call out with something he thought was witty.
It was a bit like that, being on watch; you'd either say something funny and die knowing your sense of humour was too good for this world, or you'd say nothing and die without validating your ego.
"Actually," Engineer spoke up from the Visit Asia section, a finger tracing over dusty advertisements as he moved along the aisle, "One of the last GOOD directorate broadcasts sent out was a list of anomalies brought on by the apocalypse, and apparently Chernobyl became the least radiated pla

Oh Captain, my Captain! I say it to mock,
You're lucky as hell but to me you're a c***.
Please spare me the missions, I've no head for heights,
Balloons and big lists lead me only to blights.
Evading the probes of an alien race,
Then having to witness your > : ( angry face...
But what choice have I? I'm involved in these fights,
With Cancerous space-monsters full of red sprites,
And Lemonade weirdos and God knows what next,
Just how can you stay so serene and unvexed?
What price should I pay for your simple delights,
Be eaten by whales after soiling my whites?
I know you won't listen, but you'll come unstuck,
And one of these days you'll run right out of luck,
Your empire will fall, and your ego besides,
It's karma for sure, like the turn of the tides,
And then I will lol, sitting in my own muck,
Coz after all this I just won't give a f***.
Kaiju Uprising: Chapter 1:Chapter 1:Kaiju Uprising: Chapter 1: in Science Fiction More Like This
Millions of years ago, Dinosaurs ruled the Earth. But an asteroid from the heavens ended their rule swiftly and viciously. Scores of the beasts were killed instantly. Hundreds more fell to the harsh conditions of the changed Earth in the days and weeks that followed.
We focus on one piece of land in what will millions of years from now be known as Los Angeles. Starving beasts roam this land, the last remnants of a once mighty species. Many have already succumbed to their hunger, and died. One such Dinosaur lies directly in the path of a fault line deep under the Earth. So it comes as no shock that when a huge Earthquake rocks this piece of land, the ground opens and swallows the beast into the abyss below.
It falls for miles and miles, finally landing on a large piece of rock surrounded by molten lava. The fall is enough to shatter most every bone in the Dinosaurs body. Had it not already been dead, the fall would have killed it.
At first glance, th

Morew could do nothing to comfort his young bride, Nurika. How could he comfort her? She had just witnessed her mother and father dissolved right in front of her! That sadistic beast singled them out, and sprayed acid on them. It enjoyed listening to their anguished screams as they died slowly and painfully, and the heart wrenching cries of his wife as she sobbed, screaming and cursing her husband for pulling her away from them. But if he didnt, its very likely that they would have suffered the same fate. Now, as Morew watched his wife quietly sob her heart out, he feared that it wouldnt matter. That thing had hunted down and killed everyone in the city, and

His eyes opened, and for the first time in countless millennia, he drew breath. The dinosaur stood up weakly, and very confused as to where it was and how it got there. He looked around, and discovered he was in a cavern filled with hot magma, which he instinctively knew was deadly.
And yet, something was drawing him to the magma. A hunger of some kind, but not like the hunger itd known before. All he knew was he wanted to be closer to the magma. He headed to a point where the large piece of rock he was on dipped low, and moved his hand down, just above the molten rock.
The dinosaur kaiju sighed happily. He felt his hand being burnt, but he couldnt stop himself, the heat felt so good! He felt an instinct to get closer, but fought it. This was magma, and just keeping his hand a foot or so away from it was burning him; he couldnt dip his hand in it!
But the instinct was strong. It was like a mating instinct, only more intense, and more ur

The last thing Karo remembered was the massive arm of Armada hovering above him and Shrika ominously, telling her he loved her, and kissing her. After that, nothing. Karo slowly opened his eyes and wiggled his fingers and toes. Good, he wasnt blind or paralyzed. He slowly sat up, making sure he had no severe pains anywhere that would tip him off to major injuries. A lot of aches and pains, but nothing major. He couldnt believe how lucky he was, hed fallen 50 meters, and not sustained major injuries. When Karo looked around, he understood why. Hed fallen into a huge stack of empty boxes that were filled with cushioning agents. The boxes had reduced the impact by quite a bit.
It was then that he thought of Shrika. Was she as lucky? Karo began frantically searching for her, calling her name as she searched. Finally, after several minutes, he heard her call back to him. K

Yes it was his companion! The one hed been with many years ago, it wasnt dead! I am here, Lord Godzilla. Dagahra replied, entering the throne room, scurrying along as fast as he could. You were supposed to be here over 10 minutes ago. Godzilla said, annoyance foremost in his tone. Is it to much to ask of you to be punctual?
Please forgive me my liege. Dagahra said, trying his best to hold back the anger in his voice at being dressed down by Godzilla in front of the entire throne room.

Nova Ghidorah had been making good progress for several weeks now on his journey to the planet known as Earth. But just a few hours ago, he could feel the emotions of terror and distress from a nearby planet. A giant monster was attacking, and devouring the citizens.
Unable to ignore their mental cries for help, Ghidorah made a beeline for the planet at top speed, and reached it within only an hour and a half.
Bursting into the planets atmosphere, the mighty three-headed dragon screeched a challenge to the creature that only a few miles away was busily devouring helpless victims.
Picking its head up from its meal, the beast looked toward Nova Ghidorah, who could be seen over the horizon. Rearing up to its full height, Nova Ghidorah saw what a fearsome looking beast he was up against. It sported a somewhat dinosaurian head with two large, demonic horns protruding out of it, and six very well-muscled arms and dark red

Sometimes, she would come to a dead end or find a place that was heavily guarded and have to double back, not wanting to take the chance of being caught.
I'm getting out and I'm finding the Captain. He'll know what to do! Perhaps he has a contact that could drop a word to the enclave. Ohhh, I'd hate to think of what the Masters will say about everything we've been doing!

Taltana's head flew to the right as Bastila smashed the correction rod across her yellow unblemished face! Taltana staggered back, blinking rapidly. Bastila looked at the door and her blue eyes locked onto the Twi'lek's belt. Her green pass key was dangling from it, but so was her blaster.
As Taltana grabbed for her gun, Bastila's rod cracked against the witch's hand, making her howl, which was cut off as she smacked the disgusting yellow hutt-sucker across the face hard enough to make the rod break! Taltana collapsed on the floor, out cold.
At first Bastila was too shocked to move, her breath coming in short pants.
Was that darksided? She tried to weigh it out logically as jumbled emotions of excitement, anger, worry, and justification flew through her heart.
Hearing footsteps coming down the hall is what got her moving again. She dropped her half of the rod and snatched for the key and blaster.

"Ky?!" Ann almost stopped, the terror in her sista's voice was enough to make her raven black hair stand on end.
There was a hover craft in front of her that had taken off and was flying over sand dunes at a fast rate.
"ANN!" Ky's voice called again.
"Ky!" She shouted, "Hang on sista!"
The vehicle sped faster. Ann was panting as she zoomed past another sandy mound. The hover craft shot past a sand cruiser that was slowly crawling across the gritty hills.
There was no time to stop! There was no way to avoid it! Ann raised her arms to block her face from meeting the large shifting gears that helped the enormous mass of metal move.

It didn't take long before the entire Justice building was bathed in gold and white flames. Screams of surprise and pain sounded from inside as the fire purified the building. I found myself searching within my soul to see if I could find any shred of pity. All I found was hate.
I turned to my troops and signaled that they were free to slaughter the disease that'd stolen our lives. As one, my soldiers stood, saluted and scattered throughout the city, bringing quick death to any slaver who sought to survive.
More fire whipped up and around the walls of Kamenshire and began to burn everything it came in contact with. Slavers were looking out windows and pouring out of our homes, some carrying buckets of water to throw onto the rising flames, only to be roasted as the fire belched back.

He let weightlessness have her.

It's movie night, and that means that tires crunch through the gravel at the drive-in to see the latest stars-and-explosions movie. Sherry ran over to the door and wrapped her hand around the handle. Her hemp bracelet swayed. She swung the handle down and took one step out into the hall. The noise was coming from the other end of the long, brown carpet, so she had to lean around the door to see. Her hands fit around the edge nicely, tight even though they didn't find anything to grab onto. She wanted to lean her cheek against the door. It was barely cold enough to count as a temperature. She didn't want to leave this door. She wanted to hang on.
There was an indescribable thing at the end of the hall. It was.
Sherry leaned back into the dorm, still holding onto the door. Still holding on to I don't want to leave oh please don't make me leave I'm supposed to live here. The clock struck one and shadows danced,
There I was among the ants,
The dark sky roared a somber tune,
Of thunder and droplets to drown me soon,
A heart of mud slipped out my chest,
Down to the ground to join the rest,
My fingertips were dark and stained,
And did not clean although it rained,
The liquid despair was dark as all else,
And soon I was a puddle myself,
Melted away into silence eternal,
Trodden upon and unheard.

The daily struggle rips me apart
Like the monster it is,
With its piercing nails
And though my blood spills,
I'm forced to smile through it all.
To overcome these obstacles,
To defeat this beast anxiety,
There's something I have needs to discover,
And that something must be me.
A thing, though observed each day,
More mysterious than any other
But who else can decipher the riddles of my mind
And thus they may remain unknown forever.
Locked away, causing me to suffer.
I don't want this fate,
So monster, prepare.

Their stories in a steady flow
Though, these stories may crumble with time,
Just as within the human mind.
Enjoy them as they stay and tell,
Be thankful that they ever fell!

Read the lines,
Block out the thoughts within my mind.
Trapped in these desks till the end of each day,
My thoughts, no, they should not stray.
Yet with each day, work goes ignored,
Without these thoughts I will be bored.
And in my being each thought will grow,
Until it is a worthy foe.
When the battles begin the casualties spread,
I can feel the claws mutilate my head.
And the bits and gibes leak from my ears,
Forming puddles of my greatest fears.
They soil my shoes, soak my feet,
The rule me over in but a single heartbeat.

In a puddle at your feet,
Face to face, it's you you meet.

You really make my day,
If it wasn't for you,
I would always be blue,
With no reason to smile,
It would take quite a while,
For me to find a reason,
To get up out of bed,
So you see I just wanted you to know,
As stupid as it is,
I don't ever want you to go.
The DarkThe Dark in Free Verse More Like This
I live in a world of pitch black skies,
The dark is soothing to my sensitive eyes,
They've seen so many things in their short time,
Observed my world as a whole,
And broken it down, bit by bit, analyzed,
The trees cough out noxious gasses,
From their hollow holes, all throughout,
And their transparent leaves,
Clouds of despair,
Poisonous, looming in the air,
The grasses, all dead,
Blow in the eternal breeze,
They chill me and freeze my bones over,
I am but a shell carrying an icy burden,
It weighs me down, I cannot move,
I long for life.
But will I ever get it.
The important question at hand,
Only I can give the answer.
But it won't come without effort,
Motivation, I need,
Friendship and love, I plead,
For a clear mind, I bleed,
I yearn for the truth.

"Look jackass, I don't know who you are, but don't think I'll kill your ass!" Marcus threatened the SPARTAN.
"He's a vulgar one." Cortana commented about the Gear.
"Who said that!" Marcus said in confusion about the voice.

Marcus, obviously annoyed, ignored the two as he was about to open the armory as he heard a gun clicking.
"Look, I don't want to hurt you, but don't even try it." Master Chief said.
Then the sounds of a chainsaw could be heard as Marcus yelled "Fine then!"
With his Lancer, Marcus charged at the SPARTAN and used the chainsaw to tear into the Chief. But once it made contact with Master Chief's armor, the blade completely stops and becomes dull.
"How the hell did that happened!" Marcus cursed.
"Mjolnir armor, it can do that." John mused.

Cortana herself was doing good, for the most part. She had upgraded the Sovereign's computers, helping Anya with her service in the intelligence field. She also worked with Baird with his engineering and had designed new weapons for them.
