Nocturnal Vision from our first night out in the wild in Patagonia . Torres del Paine . Las carretas .
Wind was blowing high around us to allow these clouds to move fast .. I saw a sort of abstract gap .. of blue sky .. that was always remaining at the same place , and this evocative tree , standing there in the wind ..
I hope you like my vision . this is one of my favorite from Patagonia .
More from Jupiter, FL. The waves hitting the rocks made for all sorts of interesting displays of splashes. Getting the timing/light to coincide was a bit tricky...that and the wind blowing sea spray at me the whole time. This one seemed to pull it mostly together
From back in Sept '10. Felt the need to post something today and while, again, I didnt think this one would end up making the final portfolio, I did enjoy the light and texture of the water. Thanks for the words!
Long exposure at dusk, over a small lake in the Cerces mountains, in French Alps. The clouds were moving in my direction pushed by a strong wind, creating this impression of movement with the long exposure.
Hello I've turned this picture in higher resolution to appreciate the frost patterns in the foreground... I've also slightly improved the contrast in this new version.
I took this photo at the begining of march in the Vercors mountains in french alps... I was waiting for the sunset near the cliffs of Font d'Urle... I loved how the light illuminated the frost lines, guiding the eyes to the valley. It was a magical light for my birthday sunset... The best present Nature could offer.
An unexpected burst of light just before sunset caught me off gaurd in what was originally a scouting mission to find compositions for the following morning. This light display was at its best for only a minute. I took this shot and then ran off to find a stronger composition only for the light to fade. Although I could have done more with more time I was still extremely happy to capture this.
The highlights have been left blown out intentionally, it just doesnt look realistic otherwise.
Sunrise on Suilven with Meall Meadonach on the right. It was a moderately clear morning but the haze softened the light from the rising sun. *Orca76 has a particularly good (and different) shot taken around the same time [link]
