Louie Schwartzberg has made it his life’s mission to use his cinematic artistry to raise the alarm for public awareness of the dire situation we are facing in the possible collapse of our taken-for-granted natural resources. The “colony collapse disorder” currently decimating our honeybees was the prompt for Louie’s new movie, Wings of Life, which at it's essence, is a love story that feeds the earth.

Artists have always feared that they are unappreciated and that the march of progress comes only from business, science and their machines. 1984 was imagined by an artist projecting these exact fears. Our guest essayist suggests the computer will never be our master, but only the super high speed counting machine it was meant to be leaving humans with only one pure task— being creative.

I'm back babah!Well, middle class was nice... I got this internet card thing as a late birthday present. AND A RACOON! Well, technically the racoon was living in our airvents for a while but it's starting to come out to steal food... I named it Rupert. Other than that I've been busy playing the sims and watching old ninja turtle dvds. Which reminds me, it's been an hour since I've played the sims... Later bitches!I'm back babah! in Personal More Like This
Cotton candy....I got to go home the other day. I can't move around or I'll pass out, but I'm feeling a lot better. That might be because of the painkillers they sent me with. AND they say my stomach might be strong enough to eat solid foods again. ^^ My mom gave me a cupcake. A beautiful, pink and blue cupycack AND cotton candy :3 I'm pleased and I figured out where my zagr 40's fic is going. Most stories I set out a plotline, but there was no plot when I was writing the 40's fic, I was just improvising. But now I have a plot... a very epic plot. I love cupcakes. And I love my dA friends *huggles friends*Cotton candy.... in Personal More Like This
On a unrelated note... sims 4? WTF? I was just getting caught up on sims 3!
Now I understand...When I was younger... 11 through 18, I had seizures daily. They wanted me to do homeschool, but I wouldn't have it. I never realized that would attract the other students wouldn't react as calmly as my family did, having been explained the science between epilepsy. And my last name, which is similar to a famous witch/demon.... did not help matters. Of course after a while of being treated like a freak I figured I might as well do as I please, dress the way I want. Mostly black, yeah that helped me.Now I understand... in Personal More Like This
Today I saw someone have a seizure. I was glad I was there to stop someone shoving a shoe in there mouths but I realized how scary it is. I never knew how scary I looked. Wide dilated eyes, pale nearly blueish skin, the convulsing and bleeding tongue. Now I understand why I was so outcasted. People were afraid they would be stuck with me during an episode. And they turned that fear to make it my fault. It was easier to hate me if I was a witch then someone with a medical problem. My feelings

He passed away early this morning. He was in no pain.... He is going to be missed so much. I have been crying since 5AM when i woke up to my cousin's crying(i went to bed at 3am). When i go to work im going to thank my manager for letting me go and see him for the last time...
Here are some fun facts about him... Cause not everyone can say "My grampa was a Pirate"
In his simi younger days he had a job as a tour guide. He and his crew were on a pirate ship and dressed up as such. He was the caption and drove the ship. He also drove the ships in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean"
He was very stubborn but a very sweet old man.
His birthday was not long ago, a month or so ago i think. My Aunty made him a large cake that was about 24 pounds or something. It was a treasure chest. Here is a picture http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy119/snortymccrack/4

We had alot of fun. Most if you probably didn't even know i left town for a few days lol. Seward is a 2-3 hour drive along the coast of Alaska. we had 4 people and 3 dogs (A pitbull, bull massive and a german shepard mix) all in the car along with all of our stuff. Cramped as hell but it was alright.
We got to the cabin at like 10pm but the people that owned the cabin didn't have it ready at all, it was blocked by a huge snow pile, they tried to give us a different one but it was nothing but pure ice and it had like an inch of dirt on everything so we got a bigger and better cabin plus a refund. Uuugh by the time we got the damn cabin it was 1am cause of all the arguing my father did with the owner. He had failed to realize how packed we were and did not know we brought 3 dogs so he gave us the bigger cabin on the beach.
(I mind you, yeah a beach front is nice..... if you don't live i

Mischief, age 9 i believe also known as "Missy" or "Chief" was near the edge of the driveway when this jerk flew down the road with his trailer hauling snow machines. This guy has been known for going 90 down this small dirt road, he is so post to go 30. Missy was by the driveway when he flew by, he didn't bother slowing down or even stopping when he hit my dog. He did this in front of my mother who was just 6 feet away loading the kids into the car.
Missy was very important to me. Living at my exstepfather's house was very crazy and stressful. I was the least favorite and was treated like the child no one liked and cared about; my room was a basement with no heat and no door, 2 lights and

Bullying can happen pritty much anywhere. The most well known are the ones at school. But it goes beyond children, as even adults feel the need to belittle others around them in home and working environments.
It's wrong on any level, and alot of people don't know how to deal with it. Just know that people are just as tired of it as you might be and we should all to our part to spread the word and help prevent some of this.
If you are an older sibling or even a parent, understand that you are vastly influential and children mimic what they see from someone they care about. And I know many of you are young artists, some of the older or more well known of you also might have some young artists that look up to you. Watch how you deal with things. Don't post journals th

Aang Inspired by Invader Zim??YES! Aang, from Avatar: TLA, was indeed inspired by something from Invader Zim!!!!! I am reading a published interview between the creators of Avatar: TLA, Mike DiMartino, and Bryan Konietzko. Bryan used to work as the art director for Invader Zim, and when the show was canceled, he decided not to look for another job--instead, he worked with his partner, Mike, as well as Nickelodeon, to talk about floating a new cartoon for the network. In this interview, Bryan makes the following statement about the Zim/Aang relation:Aang Inspired by Invader Zim?? in Personal More Like This
"Mike and I went back to square one. We laid out every idea we had on the table indiscriminately, and I dug through every random personal sketch I had done during my time on ZIM. I found a drawing that I barely remembered making, a lineup of three characters: a robot cyclops monkey with an arrow on his head holding a staff, a morose-looking balding human man in his forties wearing a futuristic outfit, and a bipedal polar bear--dog hybrid....... But anyway, I DO have some things to talk about, in regards to the fandom... I've been here for years, watching as people pick up and leave the IZ fandom, and the main reason ISN'T because they want to work on original stuff--it's because they think the fandom is too immature, and creepy, and utterly out of control. They get tired of the ZADR, OOC crap, fan characterXcanon character, Mary Sues and Gary Stus, impossible irken hybrids (like irken with a dragon or irken with a demon, uhhh) and many hyperactive, young/underage people who are in the fandom.
I can see why people think this, and I don't blame them. To be honest, there are a lot of individuals who arrrree like that...mostly just immature. And yeah, you'll find that in pretty much every fandom, or at least the "pairs EVERYTHING with EVERYTHING else" part. Then again, immature people usually grow up and out of that stage. of course th

The United States Congress is proposing two laws that address the problem of wide-scale unlicensed distribution on the Internet of motion pictures, songs, trademarked goods, and patented pharmaceuticals.
One of the proposals is called SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and would direct search engines in the United States to block Internet sites outside the United States that are primarily engaged in distributing unlicensed content.Another proposal called PIPA (Protect IP Act) would block websites located in the United States as well. The Obama administration is putting a stop to these proposals. It wants the Internet companies and the content companies to get together and come up with more functional and less destructive solutions.

No! In fact, you probably won’t even notice that we made a change to the backend system that journals run on. For all intents and purposes, this is a transparent technological upgrade.
