I don't think I've ever mentioned the twincest that is Ana and Sveta? It's a bit of a fucked up relationship as you can guess, Ana really uses it to manipulate Sveta, and in the end Sveta finally gets away from it all, but not for a very long time. :/

The Noose - A Perfect Circle

SEE I TOLD YOU. Not great, but I thought something was better than nothing. Sometimes you just have to crank the wheel a bit before you really get it going. Takes a while, it's a bit rusty and sick. Quality over quantity is something I'm not afraid to admit I never follow. I'm too excitable.

Anyway, Logan, because he's one of my great loves, both the doll and the story. Logan was born a 'seer', and can see the shadow world. Most seers can swap between the two, but Logan's eyes were inexplicable fused to it, and though he could still feel and hear the world around him, he couldn't see or comprehend it. For 15 years, his older brother, Patt, kept him isolated in a dark room, trying to raise him as normally as one can in that situation. Spirits and creatures of the shadow world would haunt Logan, but they'd also talk to him and teach him things just the same as Patt.
In a nutshell, Patt ended up giving one of his eyes to Logan, and so Logan can now see the physical world with one eyes, which is why his other eye is usually hidden behind his hair.

Logan doesn't do much or have many interests. He's not very perky and is a man of very few words. He's usually never one to say something first. When he does, you'd best listen. He's got a unique way at looking at the world (physically and intellectually) and he's a very unique personality as far as his logic goes.


ANYWAY. I RAMBLE. I'm sorry. Been a while since I talked about them ;0; MY FAULT, I KNOW.

And man, that tree he's in front of is epic shit. It's a shame it's next to my shed and clothes line.

I was able to fit in a quick photoshoot with Liz today before the light went out on me. She got herself a new pair of pants as she wore the old ones out and this new leather jacket recently, so I'd been looking forward to having her show them off.
Of course she and Bella also picked up a couple of new toys as well. X3

Liz dedicates this shoot to her darling Amanita, who needs to hurry herself along and arrive home.

Cade's been through a lot of changes recently, all a long time coming. First his eyes, but now his new wig has arrived, and last night I put some magnets in the back of his head and finally blushed his horns, so he's getting very close to complete.

His torso has just been sent away to *Nezumi-chuu for scar mods, so before long he'll be very close to looking right for the first time since I got him.
(He's actually borrowing Bashir's body for this shot)

Had Yael out this weekend, spent some time playing with his jointed hands and thinking about doll body language? Something like that. I always complain that I can never portray Ysrael as violent as I like, that I have a hard time getting that tension and energy in his poses.

People also sometimes ask me for tips in posing dolls and I have a hard time articulating responses besides "make it look natural". 8); You just have to step back and think "can a person actually pose like that?" and "does this posture convey what I'm trying to get across?" and act out the poses yourself to get a feel for how the body works and should look. It's not enough for it to look right to you. You shouldn't have to explain outright what your doll is doing or feeling, you should make it as visually obvious as possible to everyone. For me, it's a lot of little minute things about a pose that add up to something good.

When I started taking photos today, I started out with Yael like this: [link]

Didn't like it though, wasn't what I wanted. He looked too much like he was praying, or maybe about to bow. Not enough force in his arms. After doing a bit of flexing and posing of my own arms and body, I realized his elbows needed to be raised and pointed outward to get the body language I wanted. His head also needed to be tilted to the side rather than forward; a forward tilt looked too acquiescent. Tilted to the side was more arrogant.

Unfortunately, his arms wouldn't stay up the way I wanted on their own, even with sueding. 8); So I stuffed some white tack inside his shoulder joints to get them to stay. I do this A LOT when I can't get arms to stay where I want them. Rubber erasers, white tack, spare eye putty, they're so useful when it comes to posing.

And... yeah. I don't know, I'm sure I'm just spewing out shit a lot of you already know. And these shots aren't really exemplary of really awesome posing. Like at all. orz But it was fun for me, I spent a bit of time thinking about this while editing, so I figured why not tl;dr for a bit--

7th is Saiyuri because I felt up to doing two today. Saiyuri here is Hesue's daughter who made this easy on me because her eyes are deep, flawed red. She likes it that way, she finds the color pretty =3

I had *fuyuhime here helping me with a story today, so I got some flying Enki shots. :3 It would've been more fun if there were less mosquitoes, but at least it got really windy and maybe half of them got blown away. xD

Too bad I took most photos with the wrong wb setting (again!) and managed to not focus in the face, so there's a lot of editing to do to get the photos presentable.

Every time he saw his own face reflected in the mirror he hated it a bit more. He could barely remember the time when that hair was black... Or was it brown? He could have dyed it, like Mislav, but for some unknown reasons he never did. Someone in the past told him that weird colour was now part of him, like the abilities he had acquired after years of genetic manipulations. "Hiding things is just another way to run away. And you're too tired to run, aren't you?"
With a shake of his head he took a step backwards, where he couldn't see his own reflection anymore.

I don't know exactly why, but this pic made me think like he's looking in the mirror at himself.
And sorry, my english is horrible and it probably sounds like I'm a six years old, that's why I never put some detailed explanations like I did this time. I'm ashamed of my grammar mistakes. XD *goes hiding*

8) This is Noel~ My SD17 Williams on a Dollstown 15boy body (that totally doesn't match so I don't know what to do about that--). Williams has been a dream of mine for a couple of years now and I finally have him. *A* Needless to say I am not disappointed.

He's still sporting his default face-up but it ain't half bad, at least for now. Same with his wig. The foo needs his purple and black hair. -sage nod-

Noel is Quinn's older friend-- how much older I haven't really figured out. He's a chef-- yeah that's about all I got. LULZ. Working on it honest.
