Running AwayShe packed up her bags and slung it over her shoulder.Running Away in Short Stories More Like This
She knew what she was doing. She had waited for this moment all her life.
She opened her bedroom window and jumped out onto the tree branch. It started cracking and she jumped onto the front lawn. The tree branch broke and hit the ground with a terrifying thud. A light was switched on inside the house. She ran as fast as her legs would carry her down the street. Red faced and tears streaming down, but she was smiling, happy.
Her whole life she had been running. Running from bullies in primary school, running from teachers even on the first day of high school. Recently running from her father who has since turned to drugs.
She had been running, but can you really run away from life?

When i lost sight
Where'd you go while my eyes adjusted to the light
Where did you run while i sat stunned
Where do your steps tour
I saw them there before
But what was that again
I don't believe i remember them
Where'd you move your steps
So i couldn't follow
I couldn't keep track of you
I couldn't find your shadow
Your misplaced steps enshrouded
But freedom can only be sought
Through facing you
Replace your shadowed steps
Replace your blackened eyes
With the usual pink
And transfer your cuts to me
For i deserve it all
So give it all to me
For i deserve the pain undone
Just let me follow the steps

If anything, his ego just grew a few hundred times after his victory over the scientific Espada 8, Szayel Aporro Grantz. Since then Mayuri had gone through many of the experiments found in the Arrancar's lab. Not much was useful, but some things made him curious.
At the moment, he was going over some of the viral data. The one he was going over right now did not seem to have any purpose. In other words, it was driving him mad and he was looking for anybody else to blame for his lack of knowledge. So, as usual, he focused his anger on his lieutenant. "DAMN YOU!!! Niji Metsuki from Squad 10 had come to report that everybody in her squad was fine and healthy. But then she passed out and was now in a bed with the same conditions as Unohana's other patients.
The captain sighed as she looked over the list. "Two people are missing, both of Squad 2 and both high ranking officers. If you two aren't busy, would you mind going to look for them?" Unohana looked up at Douglas and Kaji who were still sitting in the room.
Douglas stood up almost immediately. "Why not?"

My eyes slowly opened when I felt the night air brush across my body, making the hairs stand on end, goose bumps breaking out all over my skin. The blanket had slipped past my navel while I had been sleeping and I realized that I was completely naked. A thin ray of moonlight peered through the slightly parted curtains.
I brushed my fingers across the tattoo on my stomach, remembering where Skye's was located. He was sleeping peacefully on the other side of the massive bed, the blanket thankfully covering his lower regions. I looked at his slightly raised right leg, picturing his tattoo on his thigh.
Moonlight shone on his face and I crawled closer to watch him sleep. Even in slumber, he was perfection incarnate, but more...human, boyish.
I bet a lot of Sylfa fall for those looks, I thought.
Questions crossed my mind. If Skye had done this with other girls besides his Yfke, how could he have done it? Had he forced his Yfke to watch? Had she felt wh

The smell of the dead brought her comfort now.
No one went near the bodies. Perhaps the reason no one went near her either was became she looked like them anyway. Her small frame was nothing but skin and bones, her hair covered with dirt and slime. The dress she had worn since she had taken to the streets was torn in numerous places, stained to near black. Faded, fraying slippers were all she wore on her feet, a pair she stole from a girl about her age as she coughed and wept as the plague
ravaged her body.

She stared at him, wondering what he was going to show her. "What is it?" She paused the music playing on her PSP.
"This song is cool." He clicked on one song in the seemingly endless list of music.
The song began to play. It started with the beating of the drums. Catchy, seeming to follow the rhythm of her heart. Then the whisper of a man's voice.
"Can you feel that?"
This...this was rock, she realized. Something like those her dad listens to, but...heavier. The guitars and basses kicked in, playing out a riff that hummed deep, seeming to reverberate into her mind, throughout her ears. Then, she heard it.
"Ohh ah ah ah ah!!!"
The man's monkey-like heavy growl made her perk up. This was unlike anything she had ever heard, music that she vaguely recalled hearing before. It seemed so familiar and foreign at the same time.
The vocals began and she couldn't help but feel...drawn to that man's voice. Unlike the J-pop tu

I awakened as Skye awakened, the curtains of the four-poster bed allowing a bit of sunlight to stream through.
"Good morning, Your Highness," I said softly, unsure if I said it out of obligation, politeness, or friendliness.
He nodded. "Good morning." He glanced at the sheets." "I'll have someone change them. Really, virgin females are so troublesome."
"You started it," I almost snapped. "Do you think it's our fault for the mess during our first time?"
"You're the female, so yes, it's your fault." He chuckled at his cruel joke and got out of bed, not bothering to cover himself. "But, troublesome as it is, you did enjoy it."
I gripped the blankets beneath my palms. "I would've enjoyed it more if it were Varos, not you."
"True." He laughed. "But it doesn't change the fact that you gave yourself to me. Willingly."

"How the hell am I going to do this?" I murmured to myself as I changed into the gear. I picked up the foil and started swishing it around.
"Just remember," Iryal said cheerfully, "you need to be light on your feet and faster than she is."
"Uh huh," I said. "Very helpful."
Iryal leaned close. "Helana is fast but she overestimates herself. Yervon never helps her. Use that to your advantage."
I nodded but deep inside I was panicking. How was I supposed to beat an Yfke with way more experience than I had? If I lose, Skye would be ridiculed and he would blame me. If I won, however maybe he'll start being nicer to me.
But how the hell am I going to win?!
I gulped as I faced Helana, holding my foil tightly. Trying to remember what Iryal had said, I took a deep breath.
What did he mean that Yervon never helps her? I thought.

Waiting for her lover
Oh, where could he be?
They shunned her away
No gaze laid on her face
Oh, how could she be happy
If no one wanted her embrace?
And then there he came
Did you see? Did you see?
Together with the men
Their faces filled with glee
He trembled and shook
Slowly he was led to that place
Oh, will she be now happy
For he was there for her embrace?
She waited saying no word
Did you see? Did you see?
We peeked through the stone walls
Watching closely, you and me
The tears shone in his eyes
But none ran down his face
Oh, wasn't he happy
To finally be in her embrace?
They held on to him tightly
Did you see? Did you see?
As she opened her arms wide
As if saying a silent plea
He then closed his eyes
His heart quickening its pace
Oh, he forgot what was "happy"
As they pushed him into her embrace
A loud cry echoed within
Did you see? Did you see?
The men laughed heartily
Their voices ringing free
The lady was once more silent

It'd been raining for the past several days, but the rains had finally ceased. I'm dating this because I want to be able to look back on it in the future to see if anything has changed for better or for worse. I know there are a lot of you who don't know what's going on with me, or don't quite understand it, but that's why I'm writing this. Sometimes you'll ask yourself, "why did Reitanna say this?" or "why does Reitanna feel so down?" "What happened to Reitanna?" Well, I'm about to tell you in length what is going on. People who read this who have the same thing will understand completely. People with nothing like it will be confused and sort of scared. It's a natural feeling. But after everything, I'm not ashamed to admit that I have Manic Depressive Disorder.
Manic Depression and Bipolar Disorder are the same thing. However, I like to refer to it as Manic Depressive Disorder because a lot of times, people (including me) will use the word "bipolar" as a joke, like when I say, "the weather in Southern California is almost as bipolar as I am." Wh

I've been laughing for a few minutes now, I'm so excited! I had to catch my breath just to write this! I found my cyber bully already! My hacker "friends" rose to the occasion when I told them that this guy was making fun of 4Chan, saying that they're hypocritical about "being against Scientology and pedophilia." Well, I agree with this made up statement, especially since they love "Sampson the Scientologist!" Anyway, I made up some more crap that the guy was saying to get them pissed, and of course, 4Chan needs a yearly supply of tampons for their 365 day menstral cycle, so they tracked his ass down.
This guy's name is Seth Ryley, and he lives in Texas. I'm in LA, so I will have no trouble getting over there. I'll need to get the cats adopted first. I've been posting adoption ads anywhere I can. 4Chan members asked what I was gonna do with him now that we found him. I simply said I was going to put him in his place. I was widely supported by many. They got his IP addr
KindnessKindness isn't a privelege or a right. Kindness is a gift, a gift you hope you will recieve but should never assume you're entitled to recieve it.Kindness in Philosophical More Like This
You should never do the right thing just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes you feel good. Showing complete strangers kindness is very rewarding, and if they're just nasty at heart and tell you to fuck off, well, at least you tried. And who knows, maybe that person will keep remembering what you said... maybe it'll sink in over time.
Some people are just having a bad day. Taking it out on others isn't really the best thing to do. If you go to the store, and the clerk says, "how are you?" You've been having the worse day of your life. What do you do? Do you snap at them and tell them to mind their own business? Do you lie and say you're fine? Well, the latter is acceptable, seeing as how you've no idea who the clerk is. Or you could say honestly that your day isn't so great. The clerk says, "if you don't mind me a
My Last RideI've looked forward to this day since the ride opened. I've always loved roller coasters, but I'm afraid of heights, so I never went on the ones with loops. I slowly started riding bigger coasters and... well, when this opened, I knew it was time.My Last Ride in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
It's the biggest roller coaster in the world, and this is the only park it's been built at. I had to travel from the United States to the United Kingdom, and it took all my life savings, but... I won't be needing that money anymore. I told myself I'd ride this coaster without second thought, no matter what the cost.
It's not for everybody. In fact, many are horrified by it. Hell, when I saw the scale model of it, my heart leapt into my throat and was struck by excitement and fear. I never thought it'd be built in my lifetime... it's time to face many things; my fear of heights, my fear of loops, and most of all... it's time to face death.
The Euthanasia Coaster begins with a 1600 top, and the ride up is extremely steep. It's so steep, you'd f
Just a Fashion?Emo. We've heard this term for years. I don't exactly remember when it actually started, but I didn't personally hear of it until my sophomore year. All we had was punk and gothic, but now gothic and emo are completely confused with each other. And now I'm ashamed whenever people accuse ME of being emo because they don't know the difference. Not even Southpark knows the difference.Just a Fashion? in Emotional More Like This
The problem is, emo is associated with "emotion," but a depressed emotion at that. When people think of emo, they think swoopy haircut colored black, black clothing with occasional stripes, plaid, checkers, etc., hate for the sunlight, hating EVERYTHING, and writing depressing poems... oh, and cutting yourself! This is the problem...
There are people who do all these things that are not emo. I knew a very popular girl in 8th grade, Courtnie (yes, with an i), and she confided in me that she cut herself too, showing me her marks. Mind you, this was your stereotypical preppy ditz that was pretty much better tha

People hate my work. You may ask why, but when you see my shots, you'll understand. My work is very controversial. I am sadly proud of my photos, for I may be the only one who's adopted this style.
I capture photos of suicide.
No matter where I go, I carry my camera with me, ready to shoot anything that may happen. There's surprisingly a lot of suicides in this city and the next city over. I've gotten beautiful shots.
The most common ones are those of people jumping from buildings. Of course, there's usually a crowd of people pleading for the person to come down, so I know right away what I am about to get. I stand to get a good perspective, hold up my camera, and snap the photo right as the person plunges to their demise. I take a couple one after the other so I make sure to get the perfect shot. People surrounding me shout at me and call me heartless.
On the contrary, I am more caring than them. That person wanted to end their life, so they had a perfect reason t
This KnifeThis knife. I've been staring at it for nearly an hour as I sit here on my bed. The bruise on my left eye throbs, and there's a stinging on my leg from the large scrape running down it, my jeans soaked with blood and dirty water. My shirt is ripped, blood staining the tear from the slash on my collar bone... and I was fearful of when my mother found out that I "lost" my bookbag. This Knife in Emotional More Like This

Torture. Endless torture. It's the same thing every day from the same group of kids. Why do they attack me? What did I do wrong? I get good grades, I've never stolen, I've never abused drugs... I'm a good kid...
This knife. Just... one little puncture... and it'd all end... my suffering, my torment, my misery... and then they'd be happy. They'd be happy that I was finally gone... out of their lives... because I must've just been a terrible burden on them...
I raise the knife slowly to my jugular... the blade presses on the skin, and I'm ready to cut open my own throat..

Sorry I haven't written... I have been extremely depressed because... well, I've been trying to take care of the cats. They're clean now, and I'm gradually feeding them, but of course they're not going to show much improvement over four days. But... the pregnant mama died three days ago... and I've been sobbing like mad. I took the poor thing's body to a vet to check if we could save the babies but... they had apparently been dead for a few weeks before mama died, which may have been a contributing cause. I told the veteranarian about rescuing all the cats and asked for advice. He said to just keep up with what I'm doing and show them lots of love. They need to know I'm a friend.
I've been taking special care of the youngest kittens. There's six of them, and I'm not sure who's the mother because all the cats seem to just ignore them. One of them opened its eyes yesterday, and they're a beautiful ice blue. I've been feeding them baby formula and keeping an eye on them a

I have a friend. He's pretty impressive, I show him off all the time. People must be super jealous though, cause they either run away screaming or faint.
My friend is much taller than me and very skinny. I tell him I envy him because I have to be careful to keep my weight where I want it. He's always dressed so nicely too! In a black suit and tie, he always looks like he's going to a business meeting.
It's very hard to tell how my friend is feeling because... well, this may sound weird but... he has no facial features. His skin is snow white and just has a... completely blank face. He has no mouth either, so he can't talk. He usually just writes me messy little notes.
He's a weird dude, obviously. But he's super fun. He can duplicate his arms as much as he wants, and they can also stretch far distances. He can also change his height, but he never goes below eight feet. I don't think he's able to.
He keeps to himself when it comes to personal stuff. I tried to ask him wher

I was fourteen, and I was a tall, overweight, awkward nerd who had just started a new school where I knew literally no one. At the time, it was two days before my fifteenth birthday. I forgot what we did, but I know sixteen turned out a hell of a lot better than fifteen. We were still nervous during my fifteenth, I swear to God whoever cut the cake that year that their hand must've been shaking when they did it.

You can't get there by one road, or two Or two-hundred.
You won't find it on a map, even though you'll look.
You won't be able to find any books about it in the library, either.
You won't even be able to see it with a microscope, or a telescope. It's just that big and just that small.
It's nowhere, and it's always there. It's some place that's made just for you and me.
You won't be able to see it, but you'll know when you're there.
It's the place that's just for you and me.
And even when I can't follow you everywhere else, I will follow you there.
I will always be there, even when it seems like I'm not.
And I know if there comes a time when you can't follow me anymore,
That there will still be that place for you and me,
A special place that's only and just ours.
