The Sneffels range of the northern San Juan mountains are probably my favorite in all of colorado. Massive 14,000 ft mountains and sprawling ranchland as far as you can see. They call the area around here millionaire valley for obvious reasons. This photo was taken just down the road from Ralf Lauren's 25,000 Acre Double RL Ranch.

This is one of the most amazing views in all of Colorado (unfortunately it doesnt translate that well in a small web version) This was a particularly quiet morning as I stood on a large rock to take this photo... The only sounds were elk bugling far away in the valley below.

After dropping into a blast furnace [Death Valley] that severely tries your brake system you ascend to a much cooler place if your transmission holds up [postings along the highway suggest turning off your AC].

"Stretching tree" at a park on Mount Lemmon near Tucson, Arizona. Photographed on the third and final day of our visit, which in addition to Mount Lemmon, included both East and West Saguaro National Parks and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum... what a day!!!

Protect your camera and expect to get a little wet if you go behind the water curtain... a welcome refreshment on a hot summer day. Zion National Park, Utah.
