"Oh, right, the training," Ele teased, making a big to-do about it. He was wiggling his fingers and everything.
"Look, you can mock me all you want, but there's something to it."
"The guy is crazy, man," Krien scoffed. "I heard he ate a whole bird - alive. A whole bird that was alive. A LIVING BIRD."
Ele rolled his eyes. "Whatever, man. If Jelsh doesn't want to go check the traps, he doesn't have to. But then when we gather the labran, then he can just deal with it. He's not getting any of our spoils of the tide."
"Did you just call them 'spoils'?" Jelsh asked, staring in slight horror and confusion.
"I did," Ele said. He placed his hands on his hips and spread his legs, chin jaunting skyward.
