Burns one man's vendetta on fires of drunk delight while Heaven's rainbows burn and sparkle in the sky.
The fascinated coo while boredom freezes cold and watches while his breath fades steaming into night.
The pennies for the guy jingle in their tin while he a traitor burns, his Cath'lic soul in Hell.
The animals run scared, not from fireworks, but from th'unholy sound of Guido's punishment.

A New Wind Lifts Storytelling
First imagined as a bedtime tale for his son by Kenneth Grahame in 1908, The Wind in the Willows has remained in the top twenty children’s stories ever since. But things have been getting weird out in the Willows, as the new comic on deviantART, Weirding Willows, will attest to.
Badger, Mole, Ratty and Mr. Toad are back… but they’re joined by Alice, Frankenstein’s Monster, Mowgli, The White Rabbit, Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny as they defend the world from the Wicked Witch of the West, Doctor Moreau, the Mad Hatter, Mister Hyde and the Queen of Hearts (not to mention the flying nightmare monkeys from Wizard of Oz.)

I am bringing your attention to a documentary, Beauty is Embarrassing, that
deeply inspired me after a screening last week. The life wisdom and positive
philosophy unfolding over a lifetime of living as an artist was deeply motivating.
I invited Wayne White, the subject of this documentary, to join deviantART afterwards.
I thought this would be something you would enjoy no matter where you might be at
on your own personal journey as an artist. While watching this I was also reminded
of the heartfelt explanations by many artists of what it means to choose the life of an Artist.

The Enduring Enigma of CollageFebruary 21, 2013/by techgnoticThe Enduring Enigma of Collage in Art Features More Like This
Collage is one of those art forms that immediately sets off heated debate about our most fundamental ideas and visceral feelings about the very essence of art itself.
Turn of the century troublemakers Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso began enhancing their paintings with glued on bits of cut out fabric and other materials, thus neatly blurring the line between the art categories of painting and sculpture. They shifted the emphasis or “meaning” of their painted images beyond an attempted interpretation of the painted “text” to thinking about the artists’ “process” – something wholly separate from the paintings themselves.
And with that a whole new Rubic’s Cube of basic questio

Theatrics aside, it made me ponder on why Britain has this villainous reputation, and I started to compile a list:
The British Empire was the biggest drug-dealing organisation in history and made a fortune selling opium to China. In the mid 19th century, when the Chinese Emperor tried to stop them, they sent in The Nemesis – basically the Death Star of the era – which proceeded to decimate the entire Chinese fleet. Then they stole Hong Kong.
In an emergency, such as a disaster or terror attack, an intelligence committee is convened. Its codename is “COBRA”.
The British military’s communication network is called “Skynet

It follows a number of politicians, particularly those of the British and German governments, in the days between the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and the outbreak of hostilities in 1914.
The concept may sound rather dry, but watching the intricate lattice of alliances, treaties and family ties that existed across Europe 100 years ago crumble into war made for some rather tense drama.
If you’re a fan of either history or political thrillers (or fantastic moustaches), it’s highly worth a watch.

Translation; Paramount realised that if they continued down the path Bay was going, fans would probably burn their studios to the ground.

Titillation vs. SexismBoobs.Titillation vs. Sexism in Personal More Like This
Guys are fascinated by them.
Through single-digit ages, they find the very concept of them hilarious, and when puberty kicks in the mere thought of lady-lumps generally causes some movement in the trouser department. These weak-willed creatures will follow them anywhere and they will do almost anything if it means simply being permitted to gaze upon them for a few moments more.
The entertainment industries, from the big movie makers to the lowly art whores (like me) know this, and have played upon it for years in order to separate males from their money. As a result, mass media is awash with the female form in all manner of provocative poses and dress.
Many women are fed up with this, but is the whole thing “sexist”?
Well, it’s impossible and indeed wrong to say a whole industry is one thing or another. Ultimately it’s all one, big, dumb organism that simply moves with the cultural winds. It perpetuates what sustains it. It’s only when you break it

The list is not so much what I think are good games – games age and some of them now play like a dog – but they are titles that most inspired me. They either introduced me to new concepts or changed how I saw things.
I won’t go into detail on why each was important to me (that’ll take too long to write!) but if you’re familiar with both my work and these titles, you’ll probably spot where I picked up certain things from.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Megadrive)
Sim City (Mac)

Woops. I made it interesting. The comics in the Apsara Portfolio can generally be described as “titillation with a thin veneer of story”.Woops. I made it interesting. in Personal More Like This
A couple of people have voiced disappointment with the recent Jailer comic because I inverted that formula. I stupidly put what turned out to be an interesting premise in a comic where a good narrative hook actually ruins it. It was intended to be a one-shot, but the build-up has too epic a feel to it, leaving the second half and (apparent) conclusion to be unfulfilling.
Solution: I add more to the story. More little chapters that drip-feed character details, which now exist because I started writing them as soon as people began to voice their dissatisfaction.
It should make the opening “chapter” feel more worthwhile.
The whole thing will still be an Apsara comic, though, so don’t expect an easing of the usual Apsara elements.

Daphne is a cliché, blonde damsel in distress, yes, but she’s a cliché, blonde damsel in distress that was animated by Don Bluth, who had a stack of Playboy magazines on hand while he was drawing her.

Here's about three quarters of the amazing front cover. Leave me alone, I'm not a photographist.
The company I went through charged $23 to have it printed, but now I see why, because it's quite big and of really insane quality. Each page is like, really thick and the colours came out super great.
I got to choose the dates that I wanted on it but I went a bit crazy so it has lots of dates for lots of countries.
Now I can always have an inspirational Rowan picture to look at if I ever feel my vital manliness waning. And by 'always' I guess I mean 'during September 2014.' Before or after that, my manliness is a lost cause.
I was kinda forced to add a themed border, but it works pretty well, even for the very light toned pages.
But yeah anyway, I was really happy with how it came out and making this was a fun excuse to draw all the characters interacting. It was interesting thinking up all the

It all started in late 2003. I was on Neopets one day, when my friend :iconcrimsuhn: told me about this neat art site called Deviantart. I was even worse with computers back then than I am now (which may seem humanly impossible) but I managed to slowly learn how to submit pictures. It took me much longer to figure out how to resize art though.
My username, which was first used on Neopets, is from a random number generator that combined my favorite name, favorite animal and favorite colour.
My first submitted picture was a watercolour of Hannah from Neopets.
At this time, I was a very reclusive teenager who drew endless comics and showed them to nobody. I was mainly a quad and human artist, but the general vibe of DA back then lead me down the path of the furry, and my life would be forever changed. As well as neopets, my first art was

I was happy to find that there were no issues at all. Guess I worked the kinks out of the process when I did the Sapphire book. There wasn't that cut off on the outside edge that some of the pages of the Sapphire run had for some reason.
But yeah, just like the last book, I printed this off just for myself. I am also making it available for people to aquire through Lulu.com. As time passed, others may have drifted into your life, and even if you didn't know it, they also nurtured and cared for you in much the same way, helping to shape the person you would become.
When a community like deviantART is born, the same common thread binds its originators and founding members together. They usually get stale or something but dA did something right to keep my attention for so long (and it's not like I have not tried other art sites).
I didn't start drawing until I joined dA to be honest. Sure, I threw some graphite down on paper before but that was anything but drawing. I didn't take it seriously until I joined here. So, let's do a comparison of one of my earliest (or the earliest for that matter) and a recent drawing:

The Serenely Powerful Art of `yuumei
In the top half of an hourglass, a polar bear and her cub perch perilously atop a wedge of melting ice, its dripping water becoming the "sand" that is inexorably drowning an urban couch potato figure in the hourglass's bottom chamber. The beautiful yet arresting digital painting is "Countdown" by yuumei and it is currently one of the most popular pieces on deviantART. It is "archetypal yuumei" in its perfectly balanced blending of a striking lyrically beautiful visual with an underlying urgent social or political message.
Her specialty is digital art in an anime style, but she often employs traditional watercolors and other elements. Her cause is saving and preserving what's left of the Earth's wildlife and its environment; she donates large portions of profits from her artworks to a host of wildlife and environmental organizations and urges all deviants and others to do the same. Bondage and the Single Girl PodcastOne of the things I have been thinking about lately is what it's like to be single, into bondage and trying not to just find someone perfect for a relationship, but also trying to find someone who is into the same thing sexually as you are. Do you want to be my friend?First I want to say thank you for all the heartfelt comments and sympathy about my beautiful doggie Ava passing away. I am at peace that she is in a better place but I still miss all the silly little things about her. And I think that is what is most important in life. It's not the moments that are huge that I tend to look back upon, it's the smaller things. A nice email when I'm feeling down about how someone felt better about themselves because of our site. A smile from the person in front of me at the grocery store salad bar. A great spin class where they played a song about a Unicorn for St. Patty's day. A sweet note on the bathroom mirror from my husband.Do you want to be my friend? in Personal More Like This
All the little things in life add up to big things. It's the tender and special moments in life which I cherish most. And I want you to know that you are part of that. I promised when I came back that I wouldn't hide anymore. I had always felt like I had to be a bi
