Mobius Rising Chapter 14Shadow quickly disables the force field to the fifth Chaos Emerald and takes the jewel off of its pedestal. Rouge was waiting behind him with a small bag and he drops the jewel in the bag with the rest of the emeralds. Rouge was impressed that Shadow still retained all of the security codes to what seemed like every case containing a Chaos Emerald. As they moved on to the last Chaos Emerald chest, Shadow pauses and suddenly looks around nervously.Mobius Rising Chapter 14 in Short Stories More Like This
Rouge leans in close and whispers, "What is it? Did you forget the code?"
"No..." Suddenly Shadow dives for Rouge and knocks her to the ground, "GET DOWN!"
As soon as they hit the ground a searing blast from one of Dr. Robotnik's doom bots rips through the air and liquefies the spot that they had been standing on.
Shadow removes the two gold bracelets from his wrists and gives them to Rouge, "Hold on to these! Don't drop them or I can't guarantee that you'll survive my Cha
Mobius Rising Chapter 8Knuckles stayed in his quarters for a short time after Shadow left. He didn't want to leave too soon just in case Shadow decided to come back. After a half an hour, Knuckles decided that he might as well go back to help Bunnie finish clearing out the debris from the storm. Bunnie was almost finished clearing out all the logs from the front of the Freedom Fighter's fortress by the time Knuckles arrived. Even though Bunnie sometimes found her cybernetic half somewhat of a hindrance, she did find it useful when it came to doing heavy duty jobs. The only one in the Freedom Fighters that was probably more powerful than her cybernetic half naturally was Knuckles...and that was only by a small amount. Bunnie turns as soon as she hears the door open. She smiles as soon as she sees that it's Knuckles and hops down from the hovercraft once more.Mobius Rising Chapter 8 in Short Stories More Like This

Mobius Rising Chapter 4Shadow stared at the wall as he contemplated the difficult choice that lay before him. He didn't want to give in to Rouge's demands. It would mean facing the demons of his past once more... and just the thought of that was more than he could bear. The last thing he remembered before he ended up with the freedom fighters was being in a room surrounded by clones. They were all in various stages of growth but he knew from the markings and the general appearance of them all that they were clones of him. Dr. Robotnik had taken his DNA and used it to create an army of Shadows with which to conquer Mobius. Shadow didn't remember when Dr. Robotnik had taken a sample of his DNA but Dr. Robotnik had run so many tests on him from the day that he had rejoined Dr. Robotnik's forces, Shadow had lost track.Mobius Rising Chapter 4 in Short Stories More Like This

Mobius Rising Chapter 89Rouge flops down face first on her bed. All of the guilt over the events of the last few weeks was starting to become too much for her to bear. Every time she thought that she was beginning to feel a little less guilty for something she had said or done... she would end up doing something equally bad once more. She kept replaying the look of hurt that had crossed Shadow's face when she blurted out her true feelings about their clones. She had been so stupid... if only she had thought more about her words before she had spoken.Mobius Rising Chapter 89 in Short Stories More Like This
It was clear from Shadow's expression and his abrupt exit from the control room that Shadow wasn't as displeased with having hybrid clones as she was. At least that was how she saw it. But the more she thought about it she began to think that perhaps he had been more offended because she had inadvertantly insulted his genetic background with her slurs about the clones.

Mobius Rising Chapter 53Knuckles could tell that Shadow wasn't doing as well as the dark hedgehog would have him believe. Shadow still refused to lay down but his slouched position gave away how tired he truly was. Shadow glances over at Knuckles, "I still can't believe that anyone would do such a thing... does she really despise me that much? What did I ever do to her for her to behave in such a way?"
"She doesn't hate you, Shadow. I'm sure that Rouge... as usual... wasn't thinking. She just knew that you were the only one capable of actually slipping past Dr. Robotnik's defenses without being caught. She also knew that hell would freeze over before you'd agree to help her willingly... so she did what she does best and manipulated you into doing her bidding."
"What did she intend to do with the chaos emeralds anyway?" Shadow asks, "She can't control the chaos force... they
Mobius Rising Chapter 15Princess Sally's face was grim as she stood behind the makeshift podium in front of the large group of Freedom Fighters. All members of the Freedom Fighters had assembled in the main foyer after hearing of what had occurred while they were sleeping. Knuckles and Sonic stood on either side of Princess Sally as she spoke to the crowd. Knuckles felt terrible. Not only did he feel like he let Shadow down... but he had let everyone in the Freedom Fighters down as well.Mobius Rising Chapter 15 in Short Stories More Like This
Princess Sally looks out over the crowd, "This is perhaps the most serious emergency that we have faced since we formed the Freedom Fighters so many years ago. Until now... there was never a danger of Dr. Robotnik finding out our base's secret location," She pauses, "There is a great chance that Shadow and Rouge may not be caught by Dr. Robotnik... but in the event that they do they will no doubt be interrogated into telling all they know about our base.
Mobius Rising Chapter 10Knuckles was the only one at the dinner table that seemed to be bothered by the fact that Shadow was missing from the table once again. It wasn't as if Shadow ever came to dinner with the rest of the Freedom Fighters but today his absence was more conspicuous than usual. Knuckles had hoped that Shadow would have come back to finish their conversation from earlier by now. He didn't want to press Shadow into talking to Sally... but something needed to be done soon. Knuckles was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even notice Rouge sliding into the chair next to him until she spoke. Knuckles is so startled that he actually jumps a bit.Mobius Rising Chapter 10 in Short Stories More Like This

Rouge did not look pleased at all. Her sultry purr of a voice was tinged with annoyance, "Well well... you're the last person that I would have expected to come out of Knuckles' room. What business do you have with him, Shadow?"
Shadow bares his fangs when he speaks, "Have you no shame... are you spying on me like you do Knuckles now?"
Rouge chuckles, "Of course not. I just happened to be watching Knuckles' room when I saw you slither out of his door. You look upset, Shadow-kun... would you mind telling me what you had to say to Knuckles?"
"That is between me and Knuckles," Shadow says and begins to back away.

Mobius Rising Chapter 1It is early morning in the Freedom Fighters secret base camp. It had been a relatively quiet night and none of the alarms had sounded to warn them of spybots from Dr. Robotnik's laboratory. The Freedom fighters had to constantly be on guard for these sinister robots. On more than one occasion the stealthy robots had made their way past the Freedom Fighter's security system and wrecked havoc in the base. Since the last attack by the robots, security had been increased significantly and a guard was on duty at all times. Such strict security often made it difficult for new Freedom Fighters to gain access to the base since everyone who attempted to join Sonic's group tended to be suspect of working for Dr. Robotnik. As Shadow sat alone at the empty breakfast table he ponders over how fortunate that he had been that Sonic and the rest of the Freedom Fighters had been willing to accept him back into their group after the last time he betrayed them.Mobius Rising Chapter 1 in Short Stories More Like This

Mobius Rising Chapter 91The halls of the Freedom Fighter's fortress were silent as Moonshade, Shadow, Knuckles and Sonic made their way back to the infirmary. Moonshade and Shadow's conversation had kind of died off as soon as they left Knuckles' room. Sonic assumed that it was a combination of worry for Wraith and the presence of Knuckles and himself that were keeping them from speaking freely. He could tell just from the glances that Moonshade and Shadow kept giving each other that there were a lot of questions that the two of them wished to ask.Mobius Rising Chapter 91 in Short Stories More Like This
Sonic didn't know when he should bring up the fact that he discovered that he too was related in some way to Shadow. Thankfully, Moonshade hadn't felt the need to blurt that bit of information out yet. She rose and with an apathetic stride made her way to the door, pulling it open to see the exasperated face of her mother, Sieglinde. Immediately her mother's eyes looked past Amara and landed on the book with a narrowed gaze.
"Forgive me, Mother," Amara quickly said before her mother could rebuke her. "I was reading and lost track of time."
"I should say so," her mother responded with a huff, glancing down at Amara's attire. She was wearing just a simple dress made for the indoors - nothing to impress anyone. Her mother rubbed her

It was an accident. As are most things these days. Three hundred and then some years ago, back when people still went to church and prayed to whatever deity they had conjured up in their minds, it happened. After ten minutes of choosing, I slipped in my clean but ordinary blue jacket, black trousers, polished shoes, belts and choker. If she liked me, she'll understand that I don't change who I am or the way I dress for anyone. She should respect that. I combed my hair back to its spiky and tri-colored self and it was then that I heard a car horn and as I noticed outside my window, Duke was waiting. Casey broke out in a nervous sweat. "Are you sure we can?"

This was the story:
Lance must've been in some kind of cell. He thought it was safest to continue pretending to be unconscious, so he lied on a hard, cold floor, unmoving, for a long time. It was about an hour before he heard the metallic creaking of a door opening. Some Caps came in and put him in some sort of transport capsule. It was tight and cramped, so much so that he couldn't sit up. And it was pitch black, so he couldn't see a thing even when he opened his eyes. It felt like he was in a coffin. He was becoming more and more claustrophobic, just waiting to suffocate to death.
Thankfully, though, it was only around ten minutes before the lid opened and he was taken out. They lifted him into what he guessed was a storage unit for bodies, a little niche carved into a wall high above the floor, like what you might find in catacombs. He didn't come out for a long time. The rest of the night and an entire day passed. Lance slept through most of it, but knew he didn't move

Casey found himself in a vast room at the very back of the training facility. He guessed it was once used as a hangar for aircraft or heavily armored vehicles because of the high ceiling and the massive, vertical-sliding garage doors on the wall to his right. There were a few trucks parked near the back beside one of the doorsold, beaten things with faded, peeling paint and cracked windows. They hardly looked capable of running at all.
Aside from the trucks, the hangar was set up to be a training course of sorts. Across the large expanse of cement floor, some targets had been placed at various intervals, all facing a table that had gun and knives laid out on it. To his right, Casey saw an agility course made of ropes and tires. Off to his left was a mat with a sparring dummy. A little ways down from that was a cluster of computers, the software hastily assembled on folding tables. There were other things tooa scale and weights and machines whose functions w

They stayed on the ledge much longer than Jade thought they would, but neither of them seemed to want to leave. The majority of the time was spent in silence, but that was okay. It was a comfortable silence, not like the awkward ones they had shared before. Jade actually found herself enjoying sitting next to him, just basking in his presence. She was shocked when she noticed herself wishing the space between them was smaller.
What am I doing? she asked herself repeatedly. What if this was all a big mistake? After much consideration, she'd made the decision to allow Casey a little bit closer to her. But what if she ended up regretting it? She had not meant to tell him as much as she did. But it had been bottled up for so long, once she started it was hard to stop. It felt good to share it with someone else. And of course, it didn't help that he was such a good listener. He stopped at the thick, tightly-sealed door and pulled the key card from his pocket. Bracing himself for the mechanical hiss, he inserted it into the slot and slipped inside as soon as there was a gap big enough to fit through. Then he hurried to the cell door and unlocked that too.
"Revis," said the soft, frightened, accented voice he'd come to know. "I thought you weren't coming."
He turned around and smiled when he saw her on the cot, knees hugged to her chest. "I told you I would. I just got a little hung up."
Vyra's expression softened and her chin sunk onto her knees. "Okay. I was starting to think you'd forgotten about me."
"I couldn't do that." He crossed the cell and sat beside her. "I promised, didn't I?"

Sometimes he could see forms bending over him, could feel gentle hands on his face and wrapping bandages around him. He could feel his body shaking uncontrollably. Then there were those in-between stages where a mix of fragmented dreams and nightmares swirled around through his fevered brain, causing him to toss and turn and cry out. Anthony wrapped an arm around Ian's waist, hugging him slightly. He hoped that Ian couldn't feel how fast his heart was beating. Whatever they were doing right now was definitely pushing the boundaries of friendship; there w
Nothing To LoseIan swallowed nervously as he approached the open door of Anthony's bedroom. Anthony was sitting on his bed, headphones on, his laptop open with their newest script open on the screen. Ian hated to interrupt him while he was working, but he couldn't wait any longer. He raised a shaking fist and knocked loudly on the door.Nothing To Lose in Romance More Like This
Anthony looked up and pulled off his headphones, setting his laptop aside. "Hey, dude. What's up?"
Ian shifted from one foot to the other. "I... I have to tell you something," he said awkwardly.
"Sure, go ahead."
Ian's breath caught in his throat. This was it. "Well, the thing is..." It took him a second to force the words out of his throat. "Anthony, I'm... I'm gay."
"I know," Anthony said, and reached for his laptop once again.
Ian's jaw dropped. "Wait, wait. How could you possibly have known that?" He had expected surprise or even shock on Anthony's part, but hopefully acceptance; not this, certainly.
Anthony smiled at him. "I just knew."
"But... what about Melanie

The way you rant about
Bad writing, plot holes
Characters behaving out of character
When a character is forgiven
Too easily, too fast, like you forgave
Your family, your friend, your lover
Because you love them and you
Just want to forget
When a story has no closure
No neatly tied ends, all just

What the point was, like you did after
Your last breakup, your last failure,
Your last missed opportunity
Left dissatisfied and always wondering
What could have been
When a coincidence occurs,
Two events that should have

You try your hardest to convince yourself that
It means something, it’s a sign
It’ll be important in the long run
And you’ll sigh when it doesn’t, angry and
Disappointed, like the last time you waited

So impossible it couldn

Anthony turned away from the sandwich he was making at the counter. Ian was staring at him from the dining room table.
“Yeah?” Anthony replied, leaning back against the counter.
Ian gazed at him thoughtfully. “Have we ever fucked?” he asked casually.
Anthony wasn’t sure he’d heard right. “Excuse me?”
“Have we ever fucked,” Ian repeated. “You know; banged, slept together, done it?”
Anthony shook his head in disbelief. “Shouldn’t you know the answer to that?”
Ian shrugged. “I dunno, I get drunk and bang a lot of dudes. Just thought you might’ve been one of them at some point.”
“Manwhore,” Anthony murmured under his breath, turning back to his sandwich.
“I said you’re a manwhore,” Anthony stated, clearly this time.
“Tell me something I don’t know,” Ian replied, smirking a
Waiting Up: Part 1It was nearly three in the morning, and Anthony couldn't sleep. He felt stupid admitting it, but it was strange, knowing that Ian wasn't sleeping in the next room over. He rolled over onto his side, staring absently at the wall. He wondered what Ian was doing. He probably didn't want to know. Ian was out with God, he couldn't even remember her name. That girl Ian was dating, anyway. They'd only been seeing each other for a little over a month, and already Ian was spending nearly every other night at her house. Anthony wondered what would happen if one day Ian never came home. What if he decided to move in with her? What would happen to Smosh? What would happen to their friendship?Waiting Up: Part 1 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Can I crash at your place again tonight?
Sure, Ian replied. It wasn't like he was doing much anyway; he was eating cereal on the couch wearing nothing but sweatpants.
"I'm such a loser," he muttered aloud. He got up, dumping the milk from his cereal down the drain and heading to his room to find a shirt. He grabbed the first thing he found a plain white t-shirt and ran a comb through his hair. Good enough.
A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door. Ian hurried to the living room and pulled it open. Anthony stepped inside, staggering under the weight of several bags.
"What's all this?" Ian asked, grabbing a few of the bags for him.
Anthony grinned sheepishly. "All my concert clothes. I usually keep them at Kyle's house, but I brought them with me. I was hoping you could help me pick out an outfit for the concert. You know, since it's tomorrow night and everything."
