The Monstar of Notre Dame: Ch 3In the downtown part of Paris, it is highly common that you would see people and some cartoon characters doing something like working, shopping, etc. But it's uncommon to see someone wandering around the streets lost. A young man with a shaved head and black hair in an Egyptian sidelock, bronze skin, and dark brown eyes lined with black kohl was with a beautiful buckskin Kiger stallion with a golden coat, black markings on the legs, and a black mane with a matching black tail. His name is Spirit. The Monstar of Notre Dame: Ch 3 in General Fiction More Like This
The man wore a suit of golden armor, brown gloves and boots, and a dark blue cape over his shoulders. His name is Rameses, who was a prince of Egypt and surrendered to the British when the Crusaders came to Egypt after conquering the Holy Land. Rameses looked at the map and the city, then he shook his head and crumpled the map into a ball before tossing it away. He said to Spirit, "You be gone a couple of decades and they change everything." Rameses saw two guards walking and asks, "Excuse me,
Delivering Hearts: Ch 2Two rather bored looking young men stood beside Pharaoh Seti's throne. They were listening, or at least trying to pretend they were listening, to two priests who were to be going on and on about some trivial point about palace life. It was a great relief to them when the guards interrupted the meeting, dragging a strangely dressed woman who was bound and blindfolded behind them. Pharaoh Seti demanded, "What is the meaning of this?"Delivering Hearts: Ch 2 in Drama More Like This
One of the guards walked over towards the royals and said, "Pharaoh, we've found this woman near the slaves. She's an outsider and possibly a spy. She wouldn't say where she is from."
The younger man, Prince Moses, turned and winked at the other whispering, "This ought to be more interesting."
Pharaoh's firstborn, Prince Rameses, nodded in agreement. He ordered the guards, "Bring her here." His voice was not loud, but it was powerful and commanding. This man was obviously someone to be obeyed. When the guards did as they were told, they dropped the woman as
Delivering Hearts: Ch 12Moses said, "We just do some harmless pranks on Hotep and Huy for laughs. The two are sometimes annoying and just bore everyone to tears by being advisors. There was this one time where Rameses and I switched their scrolls around for their rituals to some jokes."Delivering Hearts: Ch 12 in Humor More Like This
Rameses adds, "Oh, and this happened a couple of years ago that we got caught for this one prank."
Victoria asks as they're walking, "What happened?"
Rameses ran a hand over his nearly shaven head and said, "When I was about thirteen and Moses was eleven, we swapped the heads of the gods at the temple of Ra. Moses showed me that the statue heads could be removed when they were being cleaned and had me switch some of the heads around. Moses put the head of the hippo onto the crocodile statue, then the crocodile's head onto a statue of a falcon."
Victoria chuckled, "That's pretty funny. Guess a little inspiration for some art, huh?"
Moses said, "You might say that. When we were switching the heads, we were proud of our work. But
Delivering Hearts: Ch 10After learning from Baka that Victoria would be alright, Moses stopped Rameses as he was about to walk away. He could tell by the look on his brother's serious face that something was troubling him. Moses asked, "Rameses, are you alright? What's wrong?"Delivering Hearts: Ch 10 in General Fiction More Like This
The elder brother was silent for a moment, trying to decide whether or not he felt like talking about it. He clenched and unclenched his fists at his sides. Finally, he forced out the word, "HER! Everything about her is wrong!"
Moses asked, "Did you two have an argument or something?"
Rameses nodded, "You could say that. We just finally told each other how we really felt about one another."
Moses was quiet for a moment. What was his brother saying? Had they confessed their attraction for one another? Both of them might deny it, but Moses was certain they were interested in each other. He felt the twinge of jealousy he'd experienced earlier return. Still, he tried to maintain his composure and simply asked, "What exactly did you say to h
Delivering Hearts: Ch 4Victoria was dragged towards some doors and pushed in roughly by the guards. Landing on her side again, Victoria winced in pain and said sarcastically through bitter tears, "Nice way to treat guests. NOT!"Delivering Hearts: Ch 4 in Drama More Like This
One of the guards knelt down and pulled Victoria by her hair, then said, "Be sure to watch your tongue in the presence of Pharaoh, Athenian." Victoria said, "I'll be sure to keep it sharpened." Before she was about to get another hit to her face, the other guard said, "Leave her alone for now. Let's just untie her and get back to our post."
Just with that, the guards untied her wrists and left her alone. Victoria's blue eyes were filled with tears of anger and pain as she looked at the cuts on her wrists. Victoria looks around the room she is in. There is a large mirror and a vanity table of some sort, a bed with statues of cats as bedposts, a sheer curtain over the bed, and a large balcony.
Victoria walks around and notices a small bath, then walks out towards the balcony as she see
Delivering Hearts: Ch 1It was a peaceful Saturday when Victoria came back inside her house after a walk. Grabbing herself a glass of water, she took some sips and went into the living room. Victoria took her sneakers and socks off as her feet touched the soft carpet of the living room. She said to herself after looking at her VHS and DVD collection, "Hmmm, there's gotta be something I haven't seen in a long time." She spots a VHS and pulls it out, then looks at the cover with a smile. Victoria said, "The Prince of Egypt. Perfect."Delivering Hearts: Ch 1 in Drama More Like This
She puts the VHS into the VCR and puts the TV on, then she goes towards the kitchen to get some snacks. After heating up some popcorn and grabbing a soda can of Diet Pepsi, Victoria grabs the small bowl and sits on the couch as the previews have finished. Victoria eats a small handful of popcorn as she watches the screen show the Hebrew slaves, then the scene changes when Victoria watches the Hebrew mother place her son into a basket on the river.
Once the basket made it towards th
Delivering Hearts: Ch 7The princes stood looking after Victoria in stunned silence. Neither had ever had the door closed in their faces before. They remained mute for a few moments more, looking from the door to one another and back again. Finally, Moses burst out laughing.Delivering Hearts: Ch 7 in General Fiction More Like This
"I don't see anything humorous about this," Rameses snarled as he watched his brother slide down the wall into a sitting position where his shoulders shook with silent laughter. "What is so funny?" Moses wiped a tear from the corner of his eye as he tried to regain his composure. "I think you've just been told off, mighty prince," the younger brother teased.
"Hmph," Rameses grunted and looked back at the heavy door. His bronzed arms were crossed over his chest as his expression was a cross between disbelief and pouting. He said, "I have half a mind to tell her we are not taking her anywhere tomorrow and that she can spend the night in prison."
"Oh, Rameses," Moses said with a sigh as he grabbed his brother's wrist and pulled him down into
Delivering Hearts: Ch 5In a great hall glimmering with gold and precious stones, the Pharaoh sat admiring his family. Dinner was a very formal event with everyone dressed to the nines. Pharaoh Seti looked fondly at his beautiful queen, who wore a dress of white and it was so pure as well as clean that she almost glowed. He said to her, "You look lovely this evening, my dear."Delivering Hearts: Ch 5 in General Fiction More Like This
Pharaoh Seti then turned his gaze to his sons. Moses wore a tunic of silky scarlet and Rameses was dressed in one of brilliant royal blue. He thought that they both looked quite nice, even his oldest son looked particularly handsome tonight. He thought of telling him so for a brief moment, but he thought better of it. He did not want to risk spoiling Rameses with flattery.
Pharaoh Seti's thoughts were then interrupted by the voice of the son in question. Rameses said impatiently, "Where is that girl? I thought you sent word she was to be brought before you."
"I had word sent that she was to join us for dinner," his father replied in an
