A speedy job for the BBC Dr Who Website.
In the Agatha Christie episode "The Unicorn and the Wasp"
the Doctor refers to an adventure we haven't seen and we're shown a flashback of him in some woods with a bow and arrow - these two illustrations are from the story which appeared on the website to fill in the blanks:)

Here I go again with my weird screenshot selections :dummy:

John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness and Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper from "Torchwood". Yes I really like Torchwood. I like how this came out. And don't read anything out of this, I just happened to like the scene :B

Took a couple of evenings and a lot of pencil.

(AAGH stupid scanner, god I hate it so much)

"...it's beautiful yeah... The skies are burnt ornage. With a citadel enclosed in a mighty glass dome, shining under the twin suns. Beyond that the mountains go on forever. Slopes of deep red grass, capped with snow. "

Gallifrey, the Doctor's home planet. I really loved how he described it :) I'd bought some colored paper and this was my exuse to use it.

Coloured pencils! I am fighting my phobia :B

John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness (Torchwood). Wanted to draw another picture of him. No reason :B I just like to draw the randomest and pointless things. To me it's not so much about what I draw, it's just the process of it is so enjoyable.

The ref I used had a sort of grey gamma and I thought I could try to draw it in colour. The skin tone was a real challenge. How do you select pencils for a shade you can't even name? Ended up using warm grey and a colour called "storm" :B

Used Derwent Graphitint, Drawing and Watercolour pencils; then Lyra Watercolour and Faber-Castelle watercolour pencils. And not a drop of water :B

Strangely enough I'm more happy with how the skin tone came out compared to the clothes, hair and bg. :dummy:

I had fun combining pencil and paint for this montage. It was a popular print at SCi-Fi Cons.

A two card sketch card drawing, which will be going up on eBay in the next week or so.

I've been trying to edge away from the norm with my latest sketch cards, and do something different, something more original than portraits.

Needless to say, I will always enjoy the challenge of trying to capture a good likeness!

I vaguely remember a time when I thought I'd never draw Torchwood fluff. Woops.

Blame Maroon 5, which often puts me in a Janto mood with songs like Sunday Morning, Daylight, and Never Gonna Leave This Bed.

Steal some covers, share some skin
And clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable…
…That may be all I need
In darkness he is all I see
Come and rest your bones with me
I'm driving slow on Sunday morning
And I never want to leave

Oh damn I actually put effort into this. *sigh*

“Coming here, I’ve seen things I never dreamt I’d see. Loved people I never would have known if I’d just stayed where I was. And I wouldn’t change that for the world.”

Torchwood S2E3: To the Last Man.

Painted in SAI+Photoshop.

Come on, it’s THE kiss. With a capital THE. It’s about bloody time I painted it. And I was ready to cry again over…the series(s) that shall not be named, so I needed some Jack/Ianto.

For Coffee_n_Retcon of Livejournal.
She won the raffle and requested Ianto and Gareth in the early early days of Blue Gillespie (aka when he wasn't as chubby with long hair x__x)

I'm really pleased with their faces. ...even if they're not really recognisable because I didn't use any particular ref pics. I think that all of these months of using photo-references for my TW drawings has really sharpened my skills in drawing pretty boy faces. xD

I now feel like drawing either-
1. my OCs in this style with a huge intricate city background and spend like 100hours on it.
or 2. Draw some pretty girls, my gallery is filling with so many guys and I think that the only girl I've drawn this year has been my own ID! OTL

BUT I still have a few more mens to draw before I can do that. Tenth Doctor request here I come! :D

I just realised that if I don't post this now then I'm never gonna post it xD It's been a few weeks since I drew this. Nearly forgot about it.

His face gave me so much trouble D; I didn't have a decent reference. blegh. I'm not happy jan.

Yay for word prompts. ...I think I'd read too much plotting ianto fic at the time lol.

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. <3

Here's a commission that I did for a fan through livejournal, with permission to sell it at Supanova in Melbourne last weekend. Unfortunately I didn't finish this one in time for Brisnova either. Sorry

I got James Marsters and Gareth David-Lloyd to sign my copy last weekend :P

The incredible incredible Ianto Jones of Torchwood. I love him so much. And yeah... that's some kind of rifle or machine gun on his back, I pretty much fail at guns so there you have it. HE'S A BAMF!

Should I add a stopwatch somewhere? I thought of it, but couldn't think of a good placement. Suggestions?

I read some post or comment somewhere on LJ, in which they referred to Ianto as the Battle Butler, and I loved it.

Inspired by [link] , and incredibly influenced by the work of *vert-is-ninja who is amazing and you should all check her out.

- "I don't think Ianto Jones would shop at Tesco, he'd shop at Marks if anything."
- "He goes to Marks for his bits. He ain't do his main shop there. No one does."

Yeah. Boosh reference. That, and the satsumas.

They are captains of the Innuendo Squad! (yes, all of them)

I've always had the feeling that River Song is a lot like Jack and John. Not entirely bad, but far from all good. She could very well have been a time agent.

I've never really worked with this kind of art, so I had no idea if I was doing alright or if it was way off. A lot of trial and error. It was a LOT of fun though.

River's outfit is all improvised, while Jack's is inspired by uniforms from the US civil war. John's outfit is basically a steampunkified version of the one he's got in Torchwood.
