MADDIE is in LAB 013; she's wearing her customary teal hazmat suit with a lab coat over it; an ID badge is attached to the front pocket. A cup of coffee sits cooling on the desk. She stares at a bank of computers, whose screens are full of numbers, graphs, and technical jargon, ie, a graph comparing average ghosts (85% water) to Phantom (70% water). Radiation levels, heart-monitor looking electrical recordings, copper and iron deposits. It all looks complicated and impressive.
VO : He’s like no ghost I’ve ever studied. Surely something has malfunctioned. It just doesn’t add up.
MADDIE looks up. Cut to: PHANTOM, who is inside the FORCE FIELD CONTAINMENT UNIT. He smirks. Maddie looks irritated and returns her attention to the monitors. She has a pencil in her hand and taps it on her chin, looking thoughtful.
