lol I'm so clever it's ridicilous... some ship dodging missiles. Or missiles dodging a ship? A longer speedpaint tho, maybe around 4 hours or so. Seems like I'm getting slower,, maybe just getting older
A painting I did this weekend. The plan was to make an Avatar painting but this is what it ended up looking like. Hope you like it! Also, thank you for all the comments and favs on my previous painting!
Remnants of a scout platoon are deperately fighting their way out of an encircling
enemy when one scout rider sees their drop ship coming to their rescue.
I was sketching ideas and ended up with this. Note nearest scout is pointing up
at ship with right hand.
An image done as part of a series of images for a game trailer, about 13 in total, this is a scene depicting world burnt by war and a derelict ship floating in a belt of debris. This image was put in my portfolio and thought I might upload it here also.
Part of a commission for a game I am working on, cant say much other than I can show you this and 2 other images that I am to do each depicting real world aircraft, the other images I can not show you as they will be top secret until the game is wither launched or details released.

The 2999, Mankind has come so far in the last 1000, learnt so much and changed, living in peace on Mars and in huge space stations. Their technology turned towards a cleaner future to preserve the planet they now called home, terraforming technology meant Mars fast became a place of salvation during the worst climate turn Earth ever had in the late 2100's. Mankinds constant use of fosil fuels and strip mining finally caught up with them, the Earth was changed far beyond repair no matter how much they changed, instead of fighting a losing battle to save Earth with their early terraforming technology they decided to leave the planet to its fate and a mass exodus was started, huge station held many millions, many more moved onto the Martian surface, too many where lost to the Earths hostile state. Now at the dawn of a new millenium the changed people decided to celebrate this monumental time by sending their latest technological marvel to Earth, a fleet consisting of 5 huge monolithic ships, together they formed the Genesis Rising fleet, a Terraforming fleet using advanced terraforming technology beyond anything mankind could have imagined. Their mission, retake Earth, a process taking 7 days, turning the planet from a hostile, dusty, lifeless world into a new eden, a beacon of hope, a monument to mankinds will. A new dawn has arrived, Genesis has arrived. -------------------------------------------------------
New image for the new Luminarium exhibit "GENESIS" a different looser style was used for this image, all painted using custom bruses and my usual collection of textures and some cloud photos.
I got permission to post my storyline art that I did for a game called Söldner X 2: Final Prototype. developed by Sidequest Studios in Germany. These are the edited versions (not my final ones which looked pretty different for some of these) that appear in the game for the Playstation 3. This ship design was provided as a 3D model by the studio which I simply composited and rendered in this scene. Most of them are a mix of 2D and 3D elements.
This is the cover I did for Exiled to Earth, heavy metal band Bonded by Blood's new album. They were really into the idea of conspiracy and the New World Order, so they wanted me to put this together with that kind of symbolism in mind. There's the new taking over the old, and some other subtle hints in there too.
You can check out their site and their music here if you want. There's more info and a bit of story to the whole thing there, as well as a wanted poster I threw together for them.
It was a bit of a technical challenge for me painting something of this scope, but I learned a lot so hopefully I can pull off something even better next time! It was also a challenge knowing this would primarily be displayed at 12x12cm, so that dictated a lot of the composition and details. It's a combination of both matte painting and regular work. Hope you guys like it!
Been doing a lot of commission work lately, and I needed to do something quick and relaxing to help loosen me up again.
Probably took around 3 or 4 hours, minus some little tweaks when I was done. I wish I had done it higher res, but then I probably would've spent more time than I can spare on it.
I've always had a soft spot for good space art, but this is really only my second time trying my hand at it. I'm developing some decent techniques, but one of these days, I'm going to give it a solid go and really spend some time on one.
