I turned off the TV and looked out the window, seeing one or two streaks of light. I didn't have anything planned for the night, so I figured it couldn't hurt to have some meditation time outside. I was already feeling far too stressed with all the crap that had been going on in my social group lately.
My Dracano series had been met with much public disdain, even though half the people that read it thought it was great, the other half detested it, claiming I had stolen ideas and plot points, and quite frankly, after looking at their evidence, I couldn't argue with them, it was almost word

I sat, typing away at my computer, as usual; reviewing another short story I copied off Deviant Art. People really seemed to like my opinion on that site. I yawned, it was around 1 AM, I usually stay up until 3, a side effect of chronic insomnia, but tonight I felt lethargic for some reason. So, I pushed away from the story I was reading, another dragon TF, my favorite kind, and also a very common variant, at least I wasn't stuck reading another TG, those things creeped me out sometimes, but once I start reading something, even if it sickens me, I've made a commitment, I always read to the end, even if it's the worst thing since Two Girls One Cup. I still facepalmed whenever I thought about that, I watched the whole damned thing. Why? Because I was bet five dollars that I couldn't, I won the bet, but at the cost of a little piece of my sanity.
I lumbered out to the kitchen, and that's when I saw it, as I was putting a cup of cold co

I woke up in a strange place, I was drifting through space, I had no material body, I was just a drifting consciousness, all around me were hundreds of thousands of others, every creature imaginable, just hovering about. I looked down and I saw a large blue sphere, approaching faster and faster and faster. I then realized it was not it apporaching me, but me aporaching it. I kept gaining speed and just as I thought I couldn't go any faster, fire began forming around me, and it kept getting hotter and hotter. I was plunging into an atmosphere of a strange world. I couldn't take the heat, it was unbearable, I just wanted it to end. In front of me, I saw the ground approaching. I soared over the landscape blindingly fast, and the instant before I hit, I locked eyes with a strange alien, staring at me just before I went sailing into a cluster of trees.
I woke up in a sweat, the room was spinning, and I felt sick, like I

I woke up in the blackness of space. This dream was a rerun, I had seen it before. I was falling through the atmosphere, crashing to Earth. But just as I was flying past my human self, about to hit the ground, everything froze. I head footsteps and struggled to look in their direction. Then I saw him, the dragon. He idly strutted over to my human self and examined his frozen face, mumbling "Hmm not quite what I imagined."
He turned around and looked up at me, smiling, and I drifted to the ground. I was once again trapped in a crystalline body in this dream, and I was unable to struggle as he gently picked me up and examined me. He grinned and nodded, then spoke to me "I suspected it before. Sorry about being so mysterious, I hadn't heard about the trial. Don't worry, I'm sure Ethan will get you out of this mess, he's very passionate for a human "

My Dad leaned against the sink and motioned for me to sit down on the side of the tub, so I did, my wings and tail taking up most of it. Once I was seated, he began "I never really thought something like this was possible, so I never planned for it, but it's happening nonetheless. I read that book you wrote, and in it you took off and hid in a cave for two weeks, before hanging out with dragons for half a year. I need to know that you know that you won't need to do that in real life, your Mother and I will be here for you, you don't need to worry, you're still our son, no matter what happens."
I just looked at the floor, at my bare feet, which I knew were going to be clawed and three-toed before too long, and replied "Thanks, I was worried you'd start freaking out, like mom when she tossed that crystal out."
"About that, are you really that dependant? Can you die from it?"

I started heading off into the woods behind the house, just so I could process and figure out what I was going to do with my now permanently ruined life. Sure, I had the body I always wanted, but it wasn't the body the world wanted me to have. In the entire history of mankind, you either conform or die, so being what I was now, simply wasn't going to turn out well.
I easily hopped over the fence, finding my wings were quite effective at grabbing the air. After about three minutes of walking, I was in a clearing at the top of a hill, my favorite spot in James's woods, I loved going back there to enjoy nature.
With a deep breath, my sinuses finally cleared from the blockage they had had since my change, and with a flame-filled sneeze, I could finally smell easily again, and it was wonderful. Everything was just so fragrant, I was catching hints of a patch of wild flowers that was at least a hundred feet away, I could smell

I woke up around noon on Monday, Kinda glad I had graduated last year, so I wouldn't have to attend school like this. I lumbered to the bathroom, half asleep. One, I had to go to the bathroom, two, there was a mirror in there. I felt different, parts of me were numb, and my vision was cloudy, so I figured I'd just look at what had happened all at once.
I went to the bathroom; thankfully everything was still the same in that region. And once my vision had cleared up a little, I took off my shirt and looked in the mirror. I can't really say I wasn't expecting what I saw, but it still surprised me a little, the scales had marched their way all the way up to the side of my neck, and were starting to work their way across my chest, and my right hand, though it still had five fingers, was clearly a talon at this point.
I didn't bother putting my shirt back on, I just hurried back to my room and took a few more pictures, for th

A buzzer sounded, and I rolled over to see the sliding panel on the door opening, taking the tray with the remaining rats away. Before it had a chance to close, I jumped at it, and thrust my arm through. "I demand to speak with the General! You have no right to be keeping us like this! Even the Geneva Convention requires supplying cooked food!"
My protest was only met by a surge from the shock collar I had forgotten I was wearing. I convulsed, as did Loku, and as soon as my hand retreated from the opening, it slammed shut. Loku shakily got to his feet "Dude, what the hell?"
"Sorry, that was my fault, I was trying to demand to see the General."
"Fucking classic, we ask to talk to the man in charge, and get shocked...I actually forgot I was wearing this thing."
"Yeah, me too."

A sergeant walked over and examined Tealwing "Take it over with the other young ones."
I placed my hand on Tealwing's head "No, you can't, he has to stay with me."
"And remind me when I asked an alien's opinion."
The soldier started prying Tealwing off my back, who started squealing and howling, not letting go. After nearly thirty seconds, something came over me. I hit the floor just as David started filming. Everyone would see this, and this was the last step, I had to save face, no matter how bad it hurt, I had to maintain composure, I couldn't let myself break down.
The changes started on my feet first and progressed rapidly. My shins shortened as my feet grew longer. My four smaller toes on each foot fused into two larger toes, making a total of three on each foot as the toenails on the remaining, larger ones, grew longer and sharper, mutating into claws, as a dewclaw, or talon, whichever you prefer to call it, pushed out of my heel. In mere seconds, scales met one another, and now the only part of my body still human was my head.
Moments later, my head began changing, hair fell out in clumps to the floor as scales started sprouting and my teeth fell out. I spit them to the floor, along with much blood, as my nose started bleeding just before my vision went black. Though I cou

The College Drag, Part 4Wednesday morning was just another cookie cutter morning for me. Math and English were the usual. Getting saddled with a lot of assignments and get them done in a very short time span. Mr. Sexton was nice enough to let us off with only forty problems instead of the usual eighty. I would have to power through them at work, or at least try to. Miss Kowski told us to come up with a poem. I made one up on the spot. For the life of me, I cant remember what it was. She liked it a lot and took it as my assignment, so that was done before I even left the room. Less work for me equals more fun times. I had three hours to kill between class and work. I found myself just walking around the campus. I did go to get some food at Sonic down the road, but that only took up about forty-five minutes to an hour. I was so bored; I started to just fling rocks into the woods next to the Science Building. They wouldnt let people skip stone on the ponds, they said it was bad for them. The College Drag, Part 10Okay, the ref began, Since we have new people, I want to go over the rules. Rule number one, this is an honor sport, call your own hits. One hit and youre out. Anywhere on your gear or body is a hit. This includes wings and tails for all you dragons. I never thought I would say that, but now I guess I do. If it hits your weapon, its out. If you have a pistol, you can use that. Rule number two, there is a twenty foot safety kill range. If you get too close, call safety kill and it counts as a hit. If your weapon shoots over four eighty fps, then it has a forty foot safety kill range. This is a sniper rule. Rule number three, be polite. This is not the place for to go shooting your mouth off. You cause too many problems, you will be asked to leave and you will not get your money back. Youre all here to have fun, so lets all act like people and not douche bags. The College Drag, Part 11We got reloaded and it wasnt long before we were being called onto the field again. It was time for a speed ball game on the concrete and spool field. These are in rapid succession, you keep playing round after round till you run out of ammo or drop from exhaustion. The concrete tubes make for a field of chest high cover, well just over waist high for a dragon. The cable spool half of the field provides much better cover for dragons with the very tall utility cable spools and some low cover from fifty-five gallon drums. You can see the other team plain as day on the other side of the field, about three hundred feet away across all the obstacles. The ref did the shuffle this time. He just would point at a guy and tell him or her right side or left side. The Dragon Crew: Part 1Ever wondered if dragons existed or still exist in the world. If the stories youheard while growing up were real instead of fantasy, myth, and legend, wouldn't you want to meet and befriend a dragon or even become one. Well here's what happened when three kids found a wounded dragon while on vacation and befriended it. As soon as they did this, their lives changed forever along with their seven friends when they were given eight different colored sones with the souls of dragons in them. The eight stones even carried some of the most powerful dragons that ever lived. The name of the three kids that found the dragon is Rachael, Jeff, and Tommy. Jeff and Tommy are cousins and Rachael is one of their closest friends. Jeff and Rachael practically did everything together, whether it was with their other friends or by themselves. The reason they did so much together was because they were neighbors. Tommy lived a few blocks away from them and tried to get together with them whenever he could. The Dragon Crew: Part 1 in Fantasy More Like This
The Dragon Crew: Prologuethe sun was just starting to set when a lone figure was limping into a cave that was near a beach, a small trail of blood following behind him. The lone figure was a quadruped dragon with gashes all over his body. it had two light blue horns coming out of his head with a fin like ear in front of each horn. The scales on its underbelly were a light blue that looked like blue ice and the rest of his body was covered by scales that were whiter than the freshest snow from a snow fall and semmed to glimmer form the fading light of the sunset. The dragon's claws were also the same color as his horns and were also covered in blood. The dragon was about 30 feet in length from snout to tail with a wing span of 20 feet. The membrane on its wings was a deeper blue and seemed to catch the sunlight in them. There were a few gashes in his wings so he wasn't able to fly that far or for that long. The dragon's tail alone was about 10 feet in length with dark blue fur just covering the end of the tail. The Dragon Crew: Prologue in Fan Fiction More Like This

But before I digress any further, let's get back to reality. Nothing much was new in my inbox, save a watch from someone named 'usaf2222'. Thankfully, this was done on the road outside my house, so as I crashed a few times nothing was dirtied as the road wasn't muddy, unlike the patches of grass that lay on the sidewalks.Second Chances: Part 8 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
It took me a few tries before I finally managed to fly properly, and it soon became a matter of constantly flapping my wings, regardless of whether I was being lifted off the ground or not, so that in any event that I did so, I wouldn't end up crashing a few seconds later.
I took to the sky soon, and I was roaring in delight as I soon found myself whizzing past the tops of the HDB blocks (also known as apartment buildings) as I did a few rounds around my neighborhood district. Each flap of my wings brought me higher and higher than before, and it was like an ecstasy for me. It was a powerful feeling, a fee

My feral mind waved his hand, and in a field of distortion, the scene changed to that of my classroom, but with all the doors and windows sealed up, as if they weren't there. The class's projector slide was on, and a screen had been pulled over the whiteboard.
On the screen it showed an image of what appeared to be a picture of me jumping mid-flight, but was however put in incredibly high detail.
Amazed, I walked over to the screen touching the screen. "You know, that'sss jussst a sssscreen image. You might want to take a ssseat, thissssss will take time..."
Slightly embarrased, I pulled a chair out from one of the tables, rotated it around and leaned forward onto the backrest, listening intently.

Second Chances: Part 9The mini-crowd quickly dispersed as soon as they arrived, which was to say, quickly. As the rest of the student councilors began to disperse and begin about their regular morning duties, I quickly took the opportunity to get my tie in place, not wanting to accidentally get the tie caught on one of my spines and ripping.Second Chances: Part 9 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
I struggled to get my tie over my horned head as Fuad giggled behind me, encouraging me to growl slightly.
"Does this look funny to you?" I said in an annoyed tone.
Fuad merely clasped his hands over his mouth and looked away, giving me the inference that he meant 'yes'. I shook off the look that he gave me before further struggling with my tie, but to no avail. Now, you might be wondering how I'm struggling to get my tie on. Well, to explain, when you put on a tie, you form a loop on the tie so that you can tighten and adjust it, right? Well, in most cases here in the school, most people preferred to keep their ties tied (so to speak), so as to avoid the inconvenience
Second Chances: Part 2Darkness Emptiness that was all I saw, that was all I felt. I felt weightless, seeming to be suspended in this black void of nothingness. I saw nothing, I felt nothing. I couldn't even see my own hands, but I could very well feel myself as I touched my own arms.Second Chances: Part 2 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Alert the world people, this might just be what it's like to be dead. Contrary to popular belief, you do not stay in a large empty void of whiteness; you float around in a dark, empty void doing nothing. Or so I thought.
What was seconds seemed like hours as I sat (or floated, actually, I really can't tell) in this void, simply doing nothing but thinking. I couldn't die, not yet! I had things to do, people to see! And I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye
Grief filled me as I wailed in the darkness, crying out to the cruelty of this world. "Not yet," I kept telling myself, "this wasn't how I was supposed to go!"
And after what seemed like hours, something appeared. In the darkness, a small white appe
Second Chances: Part 7The following night passed rather uneventfully, save the occasional moments of me waking up to stir under my sheets. I was, at some point in my sleep though, woken up at the sound of my door clicking and the lights turning on. At that instant, honest, I shot out of bed, slamming my horned head into the bunk above me, instead of my usual, lethargic stirring before I'd actually wake up.Second Chances: Part 7 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
While I'll admit that that hurt a lot, I found my sudden ability to wake up then to be quite odd, because usually I'd take forever to actually wake up, unless I was in camp. It was what I liked to term as 'camp mode', which was those times where, in my peak, I could go for 48 hours with only 15 minutes of sleep, and was able to wake up instantaneously, which was to say, pretty much the opposite of how I usually worked.
But before I digress any further, let me continue. Snarling in obvious pain, I glared at the person who woke me up, only to see me somewhat-terrified father standing at the doorway, looking
Second Chances: Part 17With a brief summary (or, not-so-brief, in my case) of what happened in the entire day that I missed school, Cheryl and Gabriel then promptly left me to my lunch on the pretence of having to attend classes of sort, which meant I was alone for the day. I tried to get their attention and ask them to stay a little longer, but anything that came out of mouth was a series of jumbled-up growls, snarls and hisses, accompanied by an occasional croon. With that, I sighed in irritation as I watched them leave, giving me one last awkward glance before making their way back up the road from which they came.
Picking up the plastic bag with my mouth, I carried the food into the house, while using my tail to wrap around the thick pile of work that lay ahead for me.
Not crumpling the papers was an arduous task for me now, since I lacked hands to carry the papers, and since there was also no way that I was going to carry all my homework in my mouth, I had no choice but to gently wrap everything
Second Chances: Part 4I crept as silently as I could from the approaching man, with my mind screaming "CRAPCRAPCRAPCRAPCRAP" the whole time as I nervously edged my way around another tree, hoping the man wouldn't spot me.Second Chances: Part 4 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
My heart began to beat wildly in its place, drowning out all other sounds for a good moment of time as crossed my fingers (or claws, depending on how you looked at it ), hoping that the man wouldn't find me.
A rustle on my left indicated that I move, and I instinctively dropped into my belly into a prone position, staying out of the man's field of view. The man walked closer. Taking a good look at him, I could see that he was a lanky, middle-aged looking man who happened to have short, curly hair. I tried to crawl away from the man, but the sound of my scutes shuffling the grass below me gave me away.
I kind of sensed the man turning in my general direction, before stepping on my tail. I could feel him recoil for a moment before bending down to inspect it, and I took my chance.
Second Chances: Part 10I rested my head on the table once more, leaning forward onto the backrest of the chair. The rest of the class seemed to have all eyes on me as we waited for the first teacher to arrive, and with that, I found that I was soon beginning to feel increasingly uncomfortable with the amount of eyes fixated on me at the moment.Second Chances: Part 10 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"What?", was the only thing I could say at that moment, tilting my head to the side as a gesture of confusion. "Never seen a dragon before?"
The class only seemed to stare at me even more as I shrunk back into my seat, feeling the tension of the incredibly awkward silence that was given to me in the form of stares.
At that moment, the teacher for Advanced Math came in, who also then proceeded to stare at me. I mentally face-palmed.
Another good, thirty second silence before surprisingly, my math teacher managed to snap out of it. "Okay class," he said nonchalantly, "take out your notebooks, today we will be doing trigonometric functions. Now, if you remember last week

And today didn't seem like it would be any better. I sighed a looked out the tinted windows. The city was still glowing faintly through all this chaos. Somehow it seemed so calm. Although lights were still shining bright, it was peaceful. Only the sounds of cars whooshing by kept the silence at bay. That, and the police officer.
"So kid, before we get to the station, I just want to know your outlook. What the hell happened back there?" He asked me from the front seat of the car.
"My car got stolen, I went to go get it. Some guys knocked me out and tied me and Stephan up. We ended up breaking free. They...um...accidentally set off the bombs or something, but we escaped before they went off" I said tiredly.

"Well, at this point in time, you. What are you doing up there?" He asked.
"Well, I was sleeping, until you woke me up!" I yelled back crankily.
"I'm just upset that I wasn't told about 'randomly sleep on other peoples roofs' day. I would have slept on every roof in the town. But no, you had to leave me out! Some friend you are." He replied, completely serious.
"It's not like that, dude. I was over a friends house and we thought it would be cool to sleep on his roof. So we did." I answered.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing! The late bell sounded, meaning that it was time to "stop loitering the halls and get back to class!", as Mr. Douglas, our principal, would say. It didn't matter to me, I was always in Spanish before the bell. It was the last period of the day, might as well make it seem like it was fun to be there. I watched kids frantically pile into the room, because they're not late if the bell's still ringing. Well, that's their logic anyway. Mrs. Lopez had a different way of seeing things, but by the amount of students that were always "tardy", she really couldn't do anything besides give words of discouragement.
"You know you arre to be in herre when the bell sounds!" She hollered at the class, rolling every "r" in sight. It's annoying, but you get used to it. The class did their usually grumbles and false-apologies, knowing that they were going to do the same thing tomorrow. Well, actually, Monday, but that's just semantics. I just didn

"It was ok, I guess. You can't do much better than a one hour day." He chuckled.

"I just...you know, wanna take it slow..." Stephan replied, shrinking lower in his chair.
"I just don't understand..." His father replied.
"Oh, be easy on him. It's hard enough being the new kid at school, on top of..." Mrs. Marcelli interjected, before trailing off at the mention of his appearance. He seemed to try to sink lower in his chair, but he couldn't quite go down any more. The awkward silence enveloped the room once again. I felt like I had to break it.

"Yeah, three people that were going to kill us, and essentially an entire town. I'd say it was justified" He said, bitterly, but still calmly. Didn't he care at all?
"You can almost never justify murder! And that's what this was, murder. We could've just left, called the cops, and let them rot in prison!" I said angrily.

"What's that?" He asked curiously
"A living reflection." I said. He looked at me with even more confusion. "You'll see, really soon." And, lo and behold, a few seconds later, reflections of reality slowly came into view. Another day, another test aced, another soccer game won, another average day for me. To someone else, it may have seemed like a pretty good life, but there's a darker point-of-view. Mine. I didnt like my life very much. It wasnt terrible, but it wasnt great. I had only two friends; Neil and Gary. And it seemed like everyone else was my enemy. But I was the only one to blame for that. "They-- We have come to apologize for everything, and to make a new alliance, to start a new beginning." Said Nahan.
"But how?" Vasilis was saying. "And what about the chief?"
"The chief started trying to organize another hunt as soon as you two left." Nahan started saying, "Let me tell you the whole story..."
The chief rose slowly to his feet, and limped to the center of th

"Yes. I would not like to be alone tonight-- it would be my first time. We could probably stay in my Father's-- in my cave." The dragon said, still a little sad. But nevertheless, they walked up to the cave, Vasilis gathering some wood along the way. Once they were inside Vasilis started building a fire, or at least attempting. "I could probably do it faster, May I?" The dragon asked
"Sure." Said Vasilis. The young dragon spit a little bit fire at the pile of wood, and it promptly started burning.

Fear of the Unknown The dragon flew over new lands, accompanied by his young son, who rested on his back. They continued to fly, without speech; without fear. Searching for a new home, they flew over many villages and many mountains. They carried onward, until they found the perfect place to start over; start a new life. A small little cave, for the small little family, on a small little mountain, over a small little village. They landed. They had found a new home, at last. They could live in peace. They settled in the cave, and fell into a fitful sleep.Fear of the Unknown in Fantasy More Like This

Short Story with a Dragon I've always liked stories about dragons. Mostly ones about dragons who were companions to a human and always protected that human. I wanted something like that, a friend I could rely on. Someone to protect me, someone always watching over me.Short Story with a Dragon in Fantasy More Like This
I had a dream that it was true, that I had a dragon companion. He would protect me, and I him. We worked together. The odd part was that after I woke up I still felt like the dragon was around, just out of my sight. The feeling didn't go away either, and when I was outside I kept thinking I saw him out of the corner of my eye, but I when I looked I seen nothing.
When I would go for walks I would hear things, like there was something walking nearby, but I could never see it. Like a cricket in a room, as soon as soon I tried to find it, it was gone. I started to ignore these things, because I could never prove that anything was there.

The Cure I was sitting in my home, just resting after a hunt. My home was an interesting natural cave, it had two entrances. One was through a underwater passage that came from the lake just outside. It made a nice pool of fresh water in the floor at the rear of the cave, so I could just swim out directly into the lake if I chose. The light coming from the lake made beautiful wavy patterns on the walls and ceiling of my cave. I always found that very calming and soothing. The other was from the outside that was in the pine forest. It was fairly secluded and i was never bothered by the humans that live close to my home. We have seen each other but have never exchanged any words. Just the simple acknowledgment of each others existence. The Cure in Short Stories More Like This
There was a wider area of the cave, where I slept and where I kept my possessions. I didn't have much of a hoard, as far as dragon hoards go. The rumors of dragons sleeping in piles of gold are vastly exaggerated, and

This is to be a back story for my part in Farm-Fresh's guest spots in his story.
Only I didn't really finish it like I wanted and don't really like writing about myself.
I was mowing the part of our yard on the other side of the creek, we only mow this part a few times per year, so the grass was tall, and I could not see what was under it. This was the first time mowing it this year, and dad had worked here with the bobcat last fall, so I had even less idea what was under the grass. I have hit everything from chunks of steel to rocks to large clumps of dirt.
I started on the part near the road, everything seemed to be going well, until I hit a a small stump the beavers left, causing me to swear under my breath(not that anyone could have overheard, there was nobody anywhere nearby, and even if there were it would be impossible to hear me over the roar of the lawnmower.

"Holy Fuck!" I yelled again. My hand was covered in black scales. I began to panic. My fingers merged and separated into two long fingers with a sharp claw at the end and a small but thick thumb on the side. The scales began to track all over my body. It was cool and all... but the pain...The pain! Oh i wanted to die right then and there. It felt as if my whole body was on fire.
Will looked at me with excitement in his eyes. This was what happened to one of his heroes, Ethan Compas. And now William had a chance to see the transformation with his own eyes. I looked down my whole body was now covered in scales and my body was beginning to stretch. I am a normal 5 foot 6 inches teenaged boy... and growing longer i couldn't see that happening. I tried to guess my new length... probably around 8 feet long. almost as long as Will's tiny basement.
My Dragon Friend Pt.5I walked up my drive way. It felt weird having the house to myself for a full week. At least it gave me time to find away to tell my parents about my transformation. I unlocked the door and turned off the alarm with some difficulty (got it in the end). I grunted. My little sister was supposed to be home soon and i really needed sleep. My Friend Dragon Pt.8I stared in wonder. It had been exactly 6 months since Melissa moved. Yet there she was standing in front of me. Her hands on my muzzle. I felt the scales on my cheeks get warm. Her blue eyes full of wonder, awe and terror examined my new features. ~ She still loves me...~ I thought ready to cry. ~ Even though I'm a dragon...~ Melissa pressed her face against my hard scaly chest and closed her eyes. I leaned my head down. The smell of her beautiful golden hair brought many memories back to me. I wrapped my arms around her bringing the rest of her body against mine. While I'm honoured that you'd like to read my works, I regrettably have to inform you that this story has been discontinued after eight chapters and a sidestory merge. There won't be any more chapters in this story, sadly.
I am however working on a new project that will hopefully outshine this old gal - it's going to be released some time in the future, and I hope you'll be there to read that was well.
If you can deal with this story ending abruptly with no end in sight, then by all means read on, and dream.
People dream. It's natural. Daydreams you usually control and you can make them whatever you want. Sometimes they get forgotten, sometimes they spring back to life after a long time, or just a heartbeat. Sometimes, they come true.

The healer of the village, an old woman named Anita, entered the room. She was holding a bowl of steaming liquid, which she offered the boy. He attempted to drink it, but started coughing violently after a few sips. Sighing, the old woman shook her head.
"Natasha, I can do no more. He's been sick for over a week now, and none of my teas have had any effect." She said, placing an old wrinkled arm around the mother's shoulders.
"Are you certain? There is no hope?" She whispered in a broken voice.

Beginnnings - Part OneDawn broke; bathing the land below with golden sunrays. The green rolling hills basked in the light, while the morning fog captured it, gaining a warm yellow glow. The old woods seemingly took a breath of the life that hummed in the air, awakening the robins and small birds that nested within the boughs. They fluttered out into the howling wind, allowing themselves to be carried away into the distance. The wind stirred, ruffling the landscape, lifting up tiny feathers and debris from the ground. A small blue feather detached itself from the rest; it sought adventure. Rushing past the others, it headed for the small village below. Hold on, what did I do last? I was at the inn, with Garreth...
I must've gotten completely smashed. Dang, I can never take much brew.
Shit, what a hangover. Feels like my bed is all... crusty? Er, this isn't my bed.
By the king's underwear, I'm sleeping in a ditch.
Wait a moment. I didn't have any alcohol, did I? Don't think so. Why am I sleeping in a ditch then? Perhaps I'm just dreaming. No, that headache is all too real.
Ouch, by the way.

Correction; I HAVE claws.
And a tail. That feels good.
I've never had a tail before. Why does it feel good to know that I have a tail then?
Perhaps someone swapped my drink with the salvia extract again. Yeah, that would explain the hallucinations and memory loss.
But I wasn't drinking.

He nodded, and pointed at the rover. "You don't need any help getting him out and inside?" he asked.

I turned back into the car, assessing the situation. If he had sustained damage, there was no knowing what additional injury we might cause by moving him around too much, but leaving him in the rover wasn't really an option either. He didn't have an

He seems to have some trouble understanding and speaking – frankly, I think just remembering his name was an effort.” I said, looking at Benjamin in the sofa. He was scanning the room with a haggard look on his face, as if he couldn’t really make heads or tails of what was happening. I can’t blame him, I suppose. Judging by his difficulty with speech, he had had either little to none contact with people, or been out of touch for a very long time. Most of the time I had spoken to him, all I’d gotten as a reply was a confused look and a faint hum every now and then.

Today's going to be boring again, I just know it I thought to myself as I headed toward my first period at my high school. I took a shortcut, feeling the wind mess with my somewhat longish, wavy, brown hair as I went outside.
I felt like a pack animal, after all I was short and stocky, and carrying a literally forty pound backpack didn't help much.
I rubbed the back of my head. I had a migraine coming on. Just my luck, I thought. I was halfway to the other door. Then I heard a high-pitched whistle, and then got pegged in the back of my head- right where it already hurt. I looked up, rubbing my head. I saw what hit me as it fell again after ricocheting off my head. I deftly caught it in my right hand.
