Game Concept

Siege Platform (Irrida) - Осадная платформа.

Диаметр 700 м.

Эта громоздкая платформа используется для штурма больших колоний в качестве штаба и места дислокации десанта. Применяется, когда сил десантных кораблей явно недостаточно для захвата колонии. Очень слабое бронирование, щит большой плотности, но малой емкости, способный недолго выдержать попадание с дредноута. Предполагается, что при использованиии осадных платформ, они всегда хорошо защищены от нападения вражеского флота собственным флотом, поэтому защитные системы платформы расчитаны лишь на кратковременные боевые действия.

На платформе множество посадочных площадок для десантных шаттлов, к каждой площадке есть свой ангар-вход в станцию. Платформа оснащена небольшими маневровыми двигателями, расположенными под нижней палубой, достаточными для перемещения по орбите планеты в заданную точку.

Вооружение:
4 Rapid fire blaster cannon - для отражения атак бомбардировщиков. Средняя дальность. На платформе установлен слабый оружейный генератор, поэтому орудия могут вести непрерывный огонь не дольше двадцати секунд. Предполагается, что при такой огневой мощи этого должно быть достаточно, чтобы уничтожить волну бомбардировщиков, после чего генератор сможет перезарядить батареи.

Платформа весьма дорога в эксплуатации. Требует наличие флота охраны

RTS game concept

Warren Marine Transport (Муравейник, или Перенаселенное здание;)

Размер 400 м.

Огромный десантный корабль, почти беспомощный для отражения атак из космоса, слабый щит, не бронирован.
Корабль не предназначен для входа в атмосферу, высадка десанта происходит с помощью десантных шаттлов. Служит для доставки десанта до захватываемой колонии, а во время штурма служит опорной базой. Несет на борту множество разведывательных дронов и несколько атмосферных бомбардировщиков для операций прикрытия действий десанта на поверхности планеты. Несмотря на внушительные силы для разведывательных операций, наличествующие на корабле, все они направлены на поверхность планеты, космический же радар весьма слаб.
Дорог в постройке и эксплуатации.
Известны случаи, когда группы десантных кораблей, оставленные без эскорта в глубоком тылу были уничтожены рейдами Блитц фрегатов. С тех пор корабли данного типа всегда сопровождаются внушительным эскортом.

Вооружение:
2 Laser Defense (одна туррель на носу, одна на корме корабля;). Туррели были поставлены скорее для психологического эффекта, т.к. очевидно, что корабль не приспособлен для ведения боевых действий в космосе.

Особенности:
Множество ангаров для десантных шаттлов (двух типов, легких (6 штук;) и тяжелых (4 шт;)). Размер малого ангара 25 м в длину и 17 метров в ширину. Размер большого ангара 40 метров в длину и 30 метров в ширину. Мостик расположен как на авианосцах - то есть сдвинут к одному из бортов корабля.

Ay,

finally got approval on publishing some old concept art!
These were done for a mid-range game title called 'Subwar' (still in production/on hold/whatever) back in early 2005 for a company in the UK.
I did these on paper with digital coloring.
The orthos were pretty tedious.
Haha, I was still rather enthusiastic back then! :D

I worked as art director/concept artist on this and created the designs for the scorpion tank, flying drone, cars, architecture and gun turrets and also painted key frames. :)

The Seeker Drone concept. The model is extremely close to my concept which makes me so proud! :D
It was meant to resemble parts of an Apache AH64.

I got permission to post my storyline art that I did for a game called Söldner X 2: Final Prototype. developed by Sidequest Studios in Germany. :)
These are the edited versions (not my final ones which looked pretty different for some of these) that appear in the game for the Playstation 3. This ship design was provided as a 3D model by the studio which I simply composited and rendered in this scene.
Most of them are a mix of 2D and 3D elements.

Another livestream semi-speed paint. Tried out the flagship again, not perfect yet, I'll have to 3D model it to get it right. Should I spend another sitting on this to get a fleet in there?

The command flagship for the Protectorate fleet.
-It's dual hull design aids in redundancy should it ever be found in heavy fighting. The lower hull is largely filled out by a massive staging hangar for defensive ships and a sizable ground force.
The upper hull houses the majority of the crew, who's accommodations are considered lavish for a space vessel, this for the large number of officers often on board.
-The ship is also equipped with extensive processing and maintenance facilities, it can support it's crew and provide extensive repair capabilities for local forces when planet based facilities are not available.
-4 main rail guns along it's 2 noses are it's main anti warship armament. These can fire a variety of munitions, guided or not, at firing rates up to high enough that more than one round can be moving down a rail at once, if needed.
-Warships all carry a common tech shielding that disperses energy weapons, this is why most ships use projectile weapons. Should an enemy ships shielding be disrupted, this flagship contains a laser generation system. 2 focusing turrets, one top and bottom, can fire on vulnerable ships to quickly destroy them.
-12 massive turrets each with 2 guns play a pivotal role in laying down spread fire on distant or closing ships, this ensures a much higher hit probability against evasion maneuvering.
-Numerous point defenses guard against small ships and fighters, some medium sized defense weapons can also join in the spread fire patterns against targets.
-Due to it's massive size, it is unable to make effective evasive maneuvers against enemy fire except in very long range engagement from glancing shots. Thanks to the Elemental program however, along with basic energy weapon shielding, this ship also uses forcive shields to deflect projectile weapons when possible. It's onboard ground forces will often include a number of Elementals which can join in on defensive actions.
-For all it's abilities as a warship, such a large investment in a single ship would lead it to be a prime target in war, so it largely spends it's time in friendly territory making use of it's command and combat staging power.

Exploration ship the Second Chance approaches a mysterious system enclosed in a veil of dark energy.

Haven't really done retro style ship design before so this was something new in that regard. Took about 12 hours to complete, most of that spent on the ship. I always enjoy doing these big pieces.

Just a little nerdy space scene. Scout ships hiding in a small asteroid field orbiting above a small rebel planet...or something like that I guess.
The ship design was inspired by fish/wales.

I scanned in a sketch, and added colors and textures with photoshop.

Not so long ago we decided that the current design for the Human fleet was a bit too utilitarian, our creative director realised that trends in today's society showed a lean more towards sleek, smooth, and curved designs so he created a few rough side profile concepts for the new Human fleet style which he dubbed the "iPod & Bulldozer" design meaning the ships would have both aesthetic flares from both the rugged utilitarian design as well as a contrasting smooth and curved design.

So I was thrown a load of concepts and I got to work on 3D views of the ships, this is the 2D concept for the Dreadnought as well as the new ingame model that's literally just been finished, no fancy lighting just the ingame model. Changes to the design were made on the fly as is apparent.

This giant flying cannon is called the Basilisk, its a Human Capital ship from the game Novus Aeterno. The Basilisk is a long range heavy weapons platform, its slow as hell but has thick armour and can only shoot forwards using either its giant main cannon which spans the length of the ship, you can actually see the ammo chambers that stick out of the sides at the back of the ship, or using its 3 smaller cannons.

Here is another skin for the Human Capitol ship the Basilisk for the MMORTS game Novus Aeterno. These fellas have been through hell, their ships reflect this by being rather beat up, bits missing, exposed interiors, and extra plating welded onto the sides, they leak as well. However despite their weak jury rigged appearance they know what they are doing and the ship is working at peak efficiency thanks to some rather inventive skills with the welding torch. Do not underestimate them.

I made this piece for a wacom online competition ,
I did research at the library ,did sketches in my book to give a clearer idea before i start doing it digitally
Did a really primitive modeling in maya for orthographic view to give a clearer idea how the perspective would look like.
A mid range commercial transport vehicle that travels on air.It can land on sea surface as a cruiser and able to transport 20-30 passengers.

A command vehicle which equipped anti-gravity engine. by the reason that in this vehicle there are often many high level commanders, it has to move fast in dangerous situations. When enemy forces are too close, this vehicle can launch 16 missiles in 2 seconds, then drop the missile launcher and activat the nuclear rocket engine to run away from the battlefront.
