It's that time of year again!

This year, we have a Red Deer :) The type of deer isn't as significant as the fact that he is stargazing and dreaming. 2011 is about coming up with goals and dreams for the year and accomplishing them, even if they're small. Remember that things always work out in the end, and if you don't take any chances in life, you will get nowhere.
Dream, take the chance, and ride the stars!

Here's to the New Year (Nude Deer!), I hope you all have a good one!

I must say, I think I've improved as far as looking like a deer goes! I can't say that those previous ones look anything like deer XD Ah, improvement!
And btw, every year it's a different deer, not the same guy :D lawl.

The next in the series of anthro hoofed beings, this is Elia, the shaman for the group. He's a bull caribou. I'm especially pleased with the antlers turned out, as well as the walking stick. It took a long time to tweak them both how I wanted them.

Fourth in the hoofed mammal series I did is Siris, a Mule Deer buck. I conisder this character the leader of the group for some reason, most likely because he was the first of the series I actually drew. We have an abundance of Mule deer where I live, and you don't see them as often as other deer species in artwork, so I decided to draw him up.

Just finished this last night and I really like the concept and the end result of this one. I think it really shows that Elegance and beauty which I was saying a deer shows in its form earlier. When you see real deer running through a forest they do sort of look as though they are dancing, there for I have come to call them "Natures' Dancers".

Now while I was drawing this out I was trying to think of ways that I could incorporate natural objects into the clothing. Well of course I first thought of the typical crown made of plants and the like but then came up with the idea to incorporate actual branches in places. Now this would not be very comfortable for you and I, but for an anthro Deer with a hide and fur, probably wouldn't hurt them at all.

Hope you enjoy.

I remember someone asking me if the only kind of anthros I can draw are wolves. Well, here is my first Anthropomorphic Elk. Oddly enough the legs were the hardest part. Just finished this today, took around 6hrs. I decided to choose an elk, since they're so much different than wolves and I wanted to try something different. I think it turned out great. Hope you enjoy.

Here is a piece I did today and I really like this one, its not very often that you get this little feeling while you are drawing something (a feeling I cant really put into words)That this piece was going to come out great in the end.

I wanted to portray the sun and all its life giving power and grandeur in this piece, along with a sort of "Religious feel". And no better a char then my nature loving druidic deer.

Iím going to work on a sister piece to this one next called "Ritual of the Moon" and hopefully Iíll be able to create it with the same feel and power as this one.

Hope you enjoy.

This one took me ages >.>
Wanted to try out some different coloringtechnique, but I guess I’m not gonna paint like this again xD
Maybe something similar. *has something in mind*
Oh, and I didn’t find a good title for the pic by myself, so I took the title of the song “Beer Beer” from the folk metal band “Korpiklaani” XD

[edit]: "Beer Beer"? Hey, why not "Beer Deer"? :XD:

for :iconkiminess: her character Kamix in anthro version. She suggested that he could be a deer and i thought that could be a piebald deer cause is full of cute freckles.
I like her art, specially how she draw the expressions of her characters.
A lot of pictures of this character could be found in her gallery :3

I'm not going to color this because if I do, it will die x_X And the medallion isn't hovering due to some strange magical phenomenon. The deer is just moving really quickly.

Just a male horse! Not a pairing. I thought I needed some work on my horses; I actually used a reference for the hooves this time. Looks rather good I think.

The poll on DA actually had deer as the lowest wanted species but I had to get this one off my chest.
