I sat atop our roof, getting as close as possible to the sky. The sun was slowly inching it's way up over the horizon. I could already feel the my body temperature sky rocket. My parents lay beneath me, asleep in their coffins, not knowing what is to come.
The sun was finally close enough, I could feel my skin start to heat up like an oven. Cars drove by, people staring at me in wonder. Let them stare. A good show was about to come, they just didn't know it yet.
Just one more minute, and the sun will be high enough. If I could, I would be sweating bullets right now because I felt so hot. The heat felt nice on my pale skin, I basked in it for a moment, before the sun finally was high enough.
