Pearlsnow was lying near the warrior's den enjoying a mouse when Echopaw, Archtail and Silentstorm came limping into the camp. She jumped up, forgetting her meal and ran towards her younger brother.
"What happened?" Pearlsnow heard Crystalstar say from behind her. The same question rung in Pearlsnow's own mind.
"We ran into a badger's den. We were able to chase it off, but we lost it." Archtail replied. Anger and worry flared in Pearlsnow's stomach.
"You all fought bravely, I will send another patrol to try and find it," Crystalstar continued, "Go and see Crookedflame."
