It was an awesome adventure to reach this remote location on a high ridge far above BC's Mount Robson in the snow to capture this sunset image. I enjoyed every minute of it!

One of my discoveries while hiking the remote eastern Owyhee plateau of Oregon was this lone Juniper, at least ten miles in any direction from its nearest brother. A Jack-rabbit passerby seemed to have found interest in it briefly. I photographed it at sunset.

Hinterer Gosausee

This shot was taken at the shore of the "Hinterer Gosausee" (Upper Gosau Lake). It's in a deep caldera where the mountain around it are about 2000m higher. Amongst them the "Dachstein" which is the highest peak in Styria. Autumn is a it's peak now and you can imagine what pleasure it was up there.

The King

I wasn't my intention to post this one, but I had to process it for a documentation on that mountain range.
That mountain is called "Hochkönig" and it's on my hiking list for this year. Time was about 5am.
