You though I'd fail my challenge, didn't you But here it is: the pic of the day Since I didn't know what to draw, I listen to ~LadyLovan who asked me to draw Grimalkin from "Spook's apprentic/The last apprentice". It turned out quite well Made a lot of brushes for this grass, could, branches and hair brushes
Still going with the Wardstone Chronicles series, this is John Gregory aka the Spook. A lot of erasing and swearing was involved since I'm not that used to doing all the cloaks and beards stuff but I'm still quite happy with the result.
Here's the first of my Wardstone Chronicles winter-themed drawings... John "the Spook" Gregory on a quiet winter evening in Chipenden. Wonder what's on his mind? The lighting and shading stuff was kind of complicated (brain-destroying ) but it's turned out quite nice, I think.
I have ideas for a couple more pictures including possibly a Spooks advent calendar! Let's see where that goes...
The calendar is finally finished! I am so sorry it took this long, but I didn't quite realize how long the drawing and colouring of 24 little pictures would take If I do sth similar next year, remind me to start in September Anyway, I finished it before Christmas!
Feel free to print this out if you want a Spook's advent calendar despite its horrible lateness. The little pictures to go inside the windows, ie the back of the calendar, are to be found here [link]
Calendar how-to: I recommend printing both the cover and the back in A3 as A4 might be a tad small. You can either take it to a printers to have it printed in A3 or split the image into 2 A4s, print them yourself and glue them together. After printing, glue both on card to give them a bit of support. Cut around 3 sides of each of the windows on the cover to make them openable (you won't have windows to open if you cut the whole thing off, you muppets! ) I recommend a stanley knife, it might be neater than scissors. Then attach the cover over the back so that the images align with the windows (they should anyway). Glue or tape or staple them together. And voila! you are finished!

For anyone who's ever read Joseph Delaney's The Last Apprentice series.
So I've become hooked on Yom Ward's story, and I haven't seen him depicted anywhere on Deviantart (to my knowledge) so I decided to glitz up a drawing of my own of him. So here's Tom Ward, the Spook's final Apprentice.

/!\ /!\ I don't own the character or his universe. /!\
