The Further Adventure of Basil The Great Mouse Detective.
The cover for a novel recording the adventures of Basil of Baker Street. As written by Dr. David Q. Dawson, friend and biographer.

Small enough to fit into any mouse hole in London.

For the :icondisneydreamers: Story book competition, traditional section.
Materials:Leather, paint, paper, thread, ribbon.
approx 10cm x 8cm

I had a lot of fun making this, the gold paint didn't want to behave though >_< but that's what you get for buying the cheap stuff ^_^;;
The little corner pieces are meant to look like Mickey Mouse ears, but I failed miserably at that.
The silhouette is based on the popular silhouette of Sherlock Holmes, pipe and all.
(Basil has a bubble-blowing pipe)

I'm not sure if this should go under Desserts or Food Art. I figured Desserts because they're cupcakes~

One of our Produce clerks at work wanted something with Mickey on cupcakes.

Voila~ There's the end result.

I'm fairly happy with how this came out~

Continuing my decent into geekdome...

I have customized my very own Duck Dodgers figure.

I'm not sure if they actually sell ones from the tv show, but the only ones I've been able to find (and only online) are the ones from the shorts that inspired the series.

So whether or not they exist, I had fun making this one!

It was pretty easy, all I did was but a regular Daffy Duck figure from a flea market and I used acrylic paint to give him the costume.
I think I did an ok job for a first try, I submitted the picture to Toyfare Magazine for their "Homemade Heroes" section.
Even if they don't use it, I still have a figure i made. :-)

Say what you want about Disney, but they know how to design characters.

I love this piece. It is made from Canson papers and is about 3 x 3.
