There’s a really, really fast subway system in your future.
Would you believe ground travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco in less than thirty minutes? That’s the prediction of the Hyperloop’s financier, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk (the co–founder of PayPal). The Hyperloop is being designed as a driverless public transport train that will rocket between American c

The Heartbeat of Modern Music
From the days of Beethoven and Franz Liszt, to the Vaudeville stages of America in the1880s to the 1930s, to the electronic keyboards anchoring the rhythms of today’s rock groups and pop singers, the piano has been the heart of the music animating our popular entertainments. Not as sexy as the guitar, nor as brash as the drums, the pianos have been the steadying source of rhythm and timing holding together songs and other compositions for the past several centuries. And, oh yes, while not being so overtly sexy, pianos can be very romantic. Enjoy this gallery of the musician’s most basic dream machi

What is Anthro?Too many people has the wrong idea about what does "Anthro" mean... even before deviantART created a whole gallery devoted to this special kind of art, there are still too many doubts about this category, and maybe that explains many of the mistakes when uploading pictures, images or drawings to our section. What is Anthro?7 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Even when I was still not the Anthro Gallery Director , I tried to explain this concept in a journal entry but couldn't manage to make it clear, and now I think it's the perfect chance for a new attempt. ^___^ To start with, let's take a look at two definitions that may help us.
Anthro: a synonym for anthropomorphism in the furry fandom.
Anthropomorphism is the attribution of uniquely human characteristics and qualities to nonhuman beings, inanimate objects, or natural or supernatural phenomena (...)
Anthro Art and may be any fictional work that employs the concept of animal characters with human charac

"I DRAW SPANKING PICTURES!"
wheww, glad I got that off my chest. But yeah, just felt I needed to make that announcement.
But seriously I want to let my current watchers new and old understand this. If you do not like those sorts of pictures then you might as well click the "unwatch" button, because that is what I do here, no, its not every picture, but it is a theme of much of my work.
here are a few frequently asked questions I get about my spanking work just to clear things up.
Q. OMG! BDSM? 50 shades of grey, whips and chains?
A. No, not really, no. For those who actually pay attention to my artwork, the spanking situations I draw usually fall under four different categories. "Parental Spanking" "Discipline Spanking" "Silly Spanking" and something I like to call "Mean Spankings" As you will note in I hardly if ever draw "Sexy Spankings" honestly, contrary to popular belief, I don't really like kinky span

This evening, I returned to into the City to fill out the reports about my first tour out into the Dead Zone.
Hopefully, they won't suddenly shut down the D.Z.T.R. Department and there will be more tours for me to "guide".
Today... was different.
A buzzing, hovering Hunter-Drone met me in the Airlock.
Must be a new thing.
Ah I see,
As I'm forever unable to access ANNET, someone up top must have programmed this contraption to follow me around, shouting things at me.
Thank you, whoever you are.
I never felt more ridiculous.
To top things off, I lost my coffee.

ENGIE: PROTOCOL 1-1-3Zee Captain's note of summons had sealed my fate.ENGIE: PROTOCOL 1-1-33 years ago in Personal More Like This
I felt a cold pull at my stomach. Something else was coming, re-awakened by the presence of Captain.
Something worse than the shuffling noises of the red beasts outside. The sound of falling cannonball.
Whatever that fleshy monstrosity was, it cared not for me, but it's presence here led ANNIE straight to me.
...And it came to pass on the morrow, that the goddess in the machine came upon me and she wanted vengeance.
She was online, the thermonuclear bombardment of the core databank cube had failed to shut her down.
She was still alive, after all these years.
The explosive crash-landing of the hunter machine through the old roof drew THEIR attention.
I was now between two wild beasts, out for my blood.
What was Protocol 1-1-3?
Memories of Directorate weapon codes lingered in my mind, poisoning my thought pattern.
Could it be?
...So this was to be my death.
ANNIE had let me know that she
Skyrim ReviewTwo or three years late but whatever! We can't all buy stuff day one, right? Anyway, if you've been following my journal entries as I've started playing Skyrim you can probably tell how this review is gonna go down.Skyrim Review1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I hate complicated things, and Skyrim is a game with a deep and rich history that can be very difficult for newbies like me to get into. Right off the bat the game throws all sorts of names, races, powers, legends, lore, etc at you. Too much of that can be a big turn off (heck I know people who still haven't read Lord of the Rings because there were too many names), but luckily Skyrim does a good job of easing players into the game.
There is a main campaign you have to follow to technically "beat" the game, but you don't have to follow it. The moment I had a chance to break free of the story I did so and I went exploring. That allowed me, a new person unfamiliar with any of the lore of the Elder Scrolls series, to experience the world at my own pace. The world is so e

That strange place, so distant, yet so close to my heart. Buildings as tall as mountains.
Dead structures, watching with dead eyes. Empty, vast and endless honeycombs of stone and steel. Air filled with gray ashes, always fluttering from the cloudy sky.
The black vortex opens up in the sky, descending down to the city. The vortex spiral rips the city apart, bending the air itself, feasting on light, feasting on time.
There is a lonely figure standing in the street.
No matter how hard I try to make out his or her expression, I cannot. Is there no face there at all? Or perhaps there is a million human faces there, intertwined and flickering in unison, as bright as the light of ten thousand suns?
The being stares into the abyss of the vortex.
It takes another step towards it, into the horizon of nothingness, into a place where nothing can exist.
The stones of the roadway beneath its feet crumble and flutter in t

Internet TimeWe had the Oscars recently and as usual it wasn't without problems. One of the controversies was Chris Rock's biting commentary about doing voice work for animated films, which was unfortunately insulting to the many hard working (yet perpetually unknown) talents who produce about 90% of all voice work in the animated medium. Chris Rock's joke was funny for his circle of friends and the aging academy, but to younger artists and professionals it was very disrespectful. Voice actress Tara Strong took particular issue with Rock's comment and as we speak his twitter account is no doubt being flooded with angry hate messages and likely racism too... which is very unfortunate. http://www.examiner.com/african-american-entertainment-in-national/tara-strong-attacks-chris-rock-over-oscar-2012-animation-comments-quotesInternet Time3 years ago in Personal More Like This

Lots of updates... again.Back From Another TripLots of updates... again.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been away for the past week and a half on a trip. I've tried to stay mostly in contact but since I've been away from my computer I haven't been able to update all my various outlets as much as I would like to. I even drew the two latest brentalfloss comics while on my mini "vacation" too, so no rest for the weary! It's probably gonna take me another day or two to get completely caught up, but I have a LOT of new stuff I wanna tackle. I'm working on not rushing everything out, but sometimes when you got a lot you want to do it's hard to focus on just one project. Anyway, I'm back now and I hope to be back to posting more regularly soon!
To the 1st and 2nd place winners of the SYAC in London contest from last month, I just wanted to let you know that your prizes have been shipped and you should be getting them soon. Please please PLEASE tell me if, by the middle of next week, you don't receive your prizes and I'll look into it.

I've been working on retooling SYAC recently. I've also been experimenting with Illustrator too. I'm still learning and there's a lot to work on, but I think I'm getting close to reaching the point when I can relaunch SYAC again.
There are three basic rules I'm gonna try to follow with this new series.
1. Keep it cartoony.
2. No strawman arguments.
3. Focus on the characters and their interaction with each other.
Since the newer style requires more work, there will be fewer comics a week, so I don't know if I'll have a regular schedule yet. Also, please be patient with the first batch of comics. With all this experimentation and style reworking, it's likely the first batch will be a little "off" until I can work out a rhythm.
The new SYAC will focus on a group of people as they enter an Art College. Some characters will be returning (like Persistent Pam and Curmudgeonly Carl) but others (like myself) will be ditched entirely. The comic will be less about giving art advice a

I AM OPENING UP MYSELF FOR COMMISSION ONCE AGAIN! (it's been over a year -__-)
I need a bit of funds to replace some art supplies and to get ready for upcoming cons.
Things are a little different this time around.
I will only be taking commissions in the "AceroTiburon" comic style.
$10 usd FOR A COLORED COMMISSION this includes ONE character full body colored in PNG format. (most props do not cost extra, however backgrounds and additional characters will be an additional cost to my discretion depending on complexity.)
Your commission will be posted here to DA individually and I will tag your DA account in the artist comments along with a reference pic of the character in question (if it's an original character). This way when it's posted you get a bit of publicity ^^ (if you are not c

My neurons tingled, misfiring.
Was it numbing the pain of being compressed into a hexagonal cocoon that pressed tighter and tighter?
No, it was showing me what it could see and feel, what my limited human vision could not.
The aggregate virus bore into my body, feasting on my cells, borrowing me to expand itself, yet it did not take over completely.
I was here, no I was out there, I was a hundred trillion cells and they were ALL suddenly under my control.
It seems that our relationship status has been upgraded from "master controller/slave drive" to an "unlicensed symbiosis".
The Biomatrix served as my new eyes, letting me peer through my own skin, bones, flesh and organs, through my fireproof jacket, through the web of intertwining lights that bound us in a stasis field, through the thick, crystalline walls of the Arbitrator's spacecraft.
My vision intensified, expandi

It was a good 2 weeks, met lots of people and ate lots of delicious food and just a very good time. Oh also the title is misleading I know, I only attended 2 cons. PurpleKecleonova is not a con, but she might as well be one cos she's so awesome. And yes it was lovely meeting purplekecleon in person, she gave me one of the best suggestion of the year ever, increase my price :I and so I did, cos when a Pokemon Goddess tells you to do something, you do it. And that has been the best decision I made. It was also good to see my Bulba friends again, owner of Bulbapedia Liam Pomfret and his lovely wife and a good friend of mine alexandrasalas. Also saw Mamath again, shes the one who suggested I get a Wacom Cintiq, which I did and yes it did help with my drawing speed. My Minecraft Testificate InfestationIn Minecraft there are these squidward like villagers called Testificates. In a recent update they were given new abilities such as having babies to repopulating a town based on the number of houses there are. Since the requirement for a "house" is simply a room with a roof and a door, I decided to spend my time building a massive city for the Testificates to populate, using a generated village as a starting point. My Minecraft Testificate Infestation3 years ago in Personal More Like This
After building a number of houses, I began noticing the little children running wild and there becoming quite a LOT of villagers. I undertook a huge task of building a BIG open area underground with a couple doors and lights. Because the area was so big, the Testificates began to... um... OVER populate.
These little buggers reproduced the village so fast that I couldn't keep up and soon they were overflowing out of buildings. Mob attacks couldn't keep up with the rate they were repopulating, and the iron golems that kept spawning (for every 15 villager a new one spawns) made
SNIPPY: QUESTIONABLE REALITYI definitely thought about killing Captain, especially after several pranks that were pulled on me like that time when I woke up with a bucket super-glued to my head and declared "iron man".SNIPPY: QUESTIONABLE REALITY3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Or that time when Captain made a soup out of my gas mask filters because the broth needed the "Smooth flavour of Snippy" and salt wasn't available... so I had to roam the decaying shopping malls for a new pair.
Or that time when Captain pushed me into a watery abyss inside a wooden barrel to celebrate "Niagara falls day".
Have my thoughts become so compounded as to finally cause schizophrenia?
...Am I a stone throw away from becoming like Pilot, talking to pet rocks and building the Bastion of Captania out of rotting shoe boxes?
And if I were to kill Captain who would I have left?
I must have been talking out loud like those crazy hobos that lived outside the protectorate dome that communicated with radioactive rain clouds via conversations of interpretive dance, until they were consumed by a famil

This is the most recent "snapshot" of the game and it's a BIG deal. You can now write in BOOKS! It's super easy to do too. Just take a book, an ink sac, and a feather and put them all in the crafting table. It creates a "book and quill." While holding the book and quill, if you right click it opens up a txt screen you can fill in with whatever you want!
You can write up to 50 pages of text and edit at your will. When you've got the book where you want it to be you can finish it by clicking the SIGN button. When you do this you'll be asked to give it a title. After that, it's done! No one can edit your book and you can re-read it any time you want!
