Warriors for Dummies- Part 1-Warriors- for dummies
A look at what the Warriors characters are REALLY like...
Part 1- Original Series
Firestar: I am Firestar. I am brave and noble. I love Spottedleaf but now I love Sandstorm and I had kits with her but I feel like I'm cheating on my beautiful dead medicine cat so now I make out with her in my dreams. And I miss Bluestar, my old mentor, because she was wise and I was attached to her and stuff. I went on a journey to save SkyClan and Sandstorm got mad when I said that Echosong was hot. I am overprotective and I feel the need to prove myself to my Clanmates. I also have a knack for stating the obvious.
Sandstorm: I love Firestar, but I know he's cheating on me with a dead medicine cat who's seasons older than him and flirts with every tom she meets and it's all I worry about, besides my kits and their destinies. I want them to grow up happy and I want to be a loyal warrior but I want Firestar to love me and I want to be a good grandma and I also want to

1. After Sunset: We Need To Talk
I figure this would be a good place to start. (Notice how the title of the play is very interesting: We Need To Talk...) Leafpool goes to the WindClan border to talk to Crowfeather, and Crowfeather alone. She must want to tell him about their kit, or else she wouldn't have to talk to him alone; she could have talked to any WindCan cat. She aso seems really upset when he mentions Nightcloud, implying even more that the news must be personal. AuthorTracker also sent out a note to all subscribers saying:
My spring tour seems a long time ago now, but you may remember from my tour diary that I wrote a ten-minute play called After Sunset: We Need to Talk, which had its World Premiere in the Secret Garden Bookshop in Seattle, WA. This was one of the highlights o

"Tawnypelt?" Rowanclaw's anxoius mew sounded from the nursery entrance, and the ShadowClan queen looked up into her mate's eyes. He must have seen the exhaustion, because he whispered, "As long as you're all right, I can come back later to see the kits..."
"No, Rowanclaw, it's ok," she protested wearily, wanting her mate to be with her, now of all times. "Come see our kits."
He hesitated at the entrance, but dipped his head slightly and padded back to join her, ignoring Snowbird, whose watchful gaze followed his every pawstep. Tawnypelt looked on proudly as he gently sniffed each kit, pausing on the largest, a tortiseshell tom with tabby markings. "Have you named them yet, love?"
Tawnypelt smiled gently, flicking her tail toward her

"Take me, StarClan," she whispered, a solitary tear trickling down her cheek. "I'm ready."
Only silence greeted her; the frozen lake glittered in the dying sunlight, the bare trees were still, the frosted grass didn't quiver. With a heavy sigh, the ThunderClan medicine cat opened her eyes and stared out across the lake. She felt a thorn pierce her heart as her gaze swept over the moors. Over there was a nest full of mewling kits, being nursed by the warrior called Nightcloud and being watched over by their father, Crowfeather.
"But he's your father too," she mewed softly, not to herself, but to the kits in her swollen belly. She could feel them, feel them kicking, moving, inside of her, and she knew they wanted to come out. But the sorrow they would bring... "StarClan, please!" she wailed. "Have mercy..."
But this was her punishment, and she knew it. To have loved a WindClan warrio

71. LoveI made a mistake. A horrible, horrible mistake. Yellowfang was right, it was all wrong. Our relationship led to the destruction of ShadowClan. My own death pales in that light. By the time I realized the extent to what I had done, I was halfway to StarClan. I was surprised they even took me in. I should have gone to Dark Forest like my son for my mistakes.71. Love7 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
When I learned that it was Yellowfang who had secured my place in StarClan, I thought I could have died nine times over. After all Id done, she still loved me. She still stood before StarClan and begged for my forgiveness. I was so proud of her when she murdered our son. He was what we had shared; I should have been horrified. But he had also broken us apart. That was when I realized how much his name meant. It was about our relationship. It was about how much our love had been mangled. And yet she still cared. After that all I wanted was to protect her until she came to join me in StarClan.

Before he was Breezepaw
Note: Most of the following was written by the real Erin Hunter, (in the form of a play)!
It had been one moon since the birth of Crowfeathers kits, and he looked on proudly as Dovekit and Breezekit wrestled in the camp clearing.
Ill get you yet, Mudclaw! screeched Dovekit as she leapt onto her
brother. For I am Onestar, the true leader of Windclan!
Just try and kill me, Onestar! retorted Breezekit, and he kicked his
sibling hard enough to send her flying across the clearing. Then he sat up and drew a paw across his face. Can I be Onestar now?
Dovekit bounced over to him. Why? We all know youre better suited as Mudclaw!
As the kits began fighting again, Tornear padded up to Crowfeather. Onestar wants you to join our patrol near the Thunderclan boundry, he said. Think you can handle it?
Crowfeather began to bristle.

Before he was Breezepaw
The gray tomcat peered into the Windclan nursery, dim and warm under the shelter of the gorse bushes, where a badger set had once been. He was silhouetted against the dawn sky, and looked like a faint shadow on the horizon.
The black she-cat looked up at him, her eyes bright with pride.
Beside her, suckling softly, lay three tiny kittens; newborn scraps of dark grey fur. One of the kittens was larger than the others; he was letting out tiny purrs as he fed.
He looks just like you, Nightcloud murmured. Well call him
Crowfeather looked down proudly at his new family, and he emitted a purr of pleasure. Three healthy kittens. One lovely mother. And he, the father. He would have to work harder, live up to his familys expectations.
Silently, he left the den to sit on a flat rock overlooking the lake. As he gazed, the water shimmered, re
Thundering River Part 1White was all around them. White in the sky, white on the earth, white in the icy breeze that seared into Stonekit's eyes and made him clamp them, watering, shut. White swirled in the air and sliced through fur, battering the three cats mercilessly and submerging them, forcing them to become one with the white.Thundering River Part 16 years ago in Children and Teen More Like This
Stonekit would not let that happen. He pressed against the frail warmth of his sister, Mistykit, as she sat hunched over against the buffeting storm. He could tell by her posture, the hang of her head, that she was feeling the loss of their sister, Mosskit, like a part of them had been scooped out.
"Mosskit? Mosskit! No! Don't take her, please..."
Stonekit couldn't understand how it had happened. One moment they were all four of them together, battling the storm onwards, and the next...Mosskit was lying cold, frozen, unmoving in the white, and she was...not. Stonekit hadn't been able to understand anything since that moment when he knew his sister had gone. The forest, th
Flame of The Forest - 3Darkpaw awoke, once again, to the feeling of icy water trickling down her spine.Flame of The Forest - 37 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
She sat up sharply, giving herself head rush, and had to sit still for a moment until the ground stopped swaying by which time Swiftpaw and her companions had already left, their snickers fading as they stepped out into the dawn light.
Darkpaw shuddered, not from the cold, or indeed the fact that her denmates were playing a prank on her again; it was due to the dream that she had had last night. As she was pulled into consciousness the vivid images seemed already to be fading, but she could remember one thing in particular: two bright, liquid amber eyes, unearthly in their beauty, gazing at her piercingly. Her awe at their beauty faded away to a deep remorse, as she realised that it was unlikely for her ever to see them again. She had laid eyes upon the most beautiful things in the world, and now everything seemed ugly in comparison. Darkpaw felt an emptiness in her chest, like something was missing
Heatherpaw's HeartacheHeatherpaw's HeartacheHeatherpaw's Heartache8 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Heatherpaw trodded back to camp behind Breezepaw, her light brown fur partially wet and clumping to her sides. She walked with her head down and watched the moors roll by under her paws. For some reason, she felt empty inside, like her heart had been clawed out by a hundred vicious badgers, and her whole body was numb with hurt.
Heatherstar, she thought numbly. In DarkClan, I was Heatherstar. I was somebody. But she was somebody in WindClan, too, she reminded herself. She could be a great warrior here, and later maybe even a leader. Heatherstar... But even having that much power wasn't the same. It could never be the same as DarkClan. Because his golden eyes wouldn't shine at her, glowing with admiration and affection. Because he wouldn't be fighting beside her, as her deputy. Because he woudn't be with her ever again, not like before. They'd almost been Clanmates, really Clanmates, and no borders separated them there...

Crowfeather peered into the medicine cats den. Barkface? he whispered shakily.
The den was in shadow, but he could make out the light brown pelt of Rushtail in the corner. The elder had gotten worse since Crowfeather last saw him, and now his mouth was open in a fit of silent coughs, while his sides were heaving desperately as he fought for breath.
Barkface came out of the shadows, looking exhausted. Crowfeather. His voice was flat and his tail drooped. He gazed remorsefully at Rushtail. Theres not much I can do for him, he whispered. We found out of his illness too late, and hes too old.
Crowfeather looked over at the tiny scrap of dark grey fur lying limp in a different nest. What about Dovekit? he whispered softly. Will she be okay?
Nightcloud had discovered the kits illness two suns ago; Crowfeather now lived in

Darkpaw moaned, tucking further into her nest while keeping her eyes, sore from tiredness, firmly shut. What were they doing waking her already? She had only just got to sleep.
Darkpaw, come on!
Something cold and icy trickled down her neck, and in the same instant she became aware of someone standing over her. She shivered and sat up quickly, shaking her head to rid it of the water droplets, while blearily looking around her. Harsh, dawn light was streaming through the brambles into the apprentices den, and as she shielded her eyes from its glare with her paw she saw the dark shapes of the other apprentices crowded around her. All of them had a sneer on their faces, with the exception of the cat who had spoken, Honeypaw, who was looking at her uncertainly.
As she sat up Swiftpaw withdrew, a wad of water-logged moss clamped in her jaws, and a smirk on her muzzle. It took Darkpaw a moment to realise what was going o

A yowl of grief split the air.
Crowfeather looked around wildly, and realized that Nightcloud was the source of the noise. She sat, trembling, in front of the nursery, with a dark grey scrap of fur between her paws. As Crowfeather approached, he realized that the scrap of fur was Shadekit, the smallest of his two daughters.
What happened? Crowfeather yowled, his heart pounding faster. Nightcloud raised her eyes to him, and he saw all the grief in the world contained in those deep pools of amber.
I woke up and she wasnt moving at all, she whispered, leaning heavily on her mates shoulder. And when I pulled her close, she was cold. So very cold! She shivered in horror.
Not believing this could happen, Crowfeather prodded his daughter gently, willing her to move. Instead, he was met with dead stillness. There was no heartbeat.

Flamepaw grinned at her. Two moons, actually.
Darkpaw laughed again, almost choking on the morsel she was chewing before pushing the remnants of the main carcass forward. Here, she coughed and laughed at the same time. I couldnt possibly eat any more.

They both jerked away at the same time. Darkpaw suddenly felt quite hot, even thou

Crowfeather crouched lower into the grass of the moor, wiggling his haunches. The rabbit in front of him had no idea he was there, and, taking advantage of that, he leapt. At once, the rabbit fled, and Crowfeathers claws scored down into the grass where it had been a heartbeat ago. He took after it, racing across the moor as though he would never tire.
Suddenly, he halted, aware that he had strayed too far. Then amazement flooded him; he was in Riverclans territory, back at the forest!
He looked around in awe at the reeds and the marshy land before him, with water flowing steadily along. Silver fish glittered in the river, and he flashed out a paw instinctively. He caught a fish in his claws and flung it onto the bank.
Well done! Well make a Riverclan cat of you yet, a sweet voice said softly, from behind him.

And Hawkfrost would pay for failing him... The leader's eyes sprang open.
Suddenly, the ferns rustled and Hawkfrost emerged. He shook dirt from his pelt and mewed, "Sorry I'm late, Tigerstar. The forest was playing tricks on me again." He flicked his ears at the trees.
