Numero unoThe higher we climbNumero uno7 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
The harder it becomes to find
An end that resembles no other
And faith in us and each other
In order to claim what is rightfully ours
Well climb, be bruised, in order to caress the stars
One and only in which I confide
Guardian to what lies
I wish to divulge what is hidden
Uncover all that may be forbidden
Grey, blue, amber skies
To merge into what Id want to be like
Limitless and infinite
You deserve to be more
To obtain the light, and to hide it from others
In order to give it what I judge to be better
In order to adorn it in what I judge to be bitter
Sweet and sour
Into what Id like to see this hour
To rise above limitations and what you expect
To regain control and to dare to forget
What I was taught, what they taught you too
That our limits stood where they wanted you
To stand, to hold ground on what we were given
To forget that that we could change and be forgiven
That what we were told was not set in stone
The Journey of Chase CH. 9: Blue Flame, Pink GillsIt was a bright and sunny day. The rocky hills North of Lavender Town were full of bird pokemon singing, rock pokemon rolling up and down the hills, and people going on hikes. The atmosphere was truly beautiful. The Journey of Chase CH. 9: Blue Flame, Pink Gills1 year ago in General Fiction More Like This
One of the couples that were hiking passed the opening to the Rock Tunnel.
"Hey sweetie, why don't we ever go exploring the tunnel?" The young woman asked.
"Because, it's dangerous in there. There are a bunch of wild pokemon hiding in the dark, as well as pretty strong trainers just itching for a fight. Besides, my love, I enjoy just spending time with-" Just then, they heard a voice coming from inside the tunnel.
"Oh crap! Not again!"
The couple peered inside the tunnel and saw another young couple running towards the exit of the tunnel at a breakneck pace with a blue Nidorino following close behind. A rumble was heard following behind them, it started low and began to grow. All of the bird pokemon flew away, and the rock pokemon curled up where they stood. The couple, and all

No… more so grey.
I beckon light candles abundant,
Defy the terror of night’s sigil.
Lest it too shall take me ‘way.
Ere love doth chill in bosoms core,
I implore, I implore,
Dwindle in candle’s light,
Beacon of truest delight.
Where love doth shine the brightest.
Ere this too unspoken.
O’ver come this blackened day.
For love doth be like summer’s day,

Cloud NineEveryone's always talking about Cloud Nine,Cloud Nine6 months ago in Free Verse More Like This
how everything's so perfectly lovely, no shroud of doubt that could move one's mind from all this marvel.
Though, what if that cloud dissipates?
What's left of those beautiful promises, hopeful longing eyes,
staring forward in an abysmal crevice as you commence your descent plummeting downwards at an ever increasing rate
where wings can not catch nor hold you, nor could an angel's breath still your fear.
Who's there to cushion your fall as you realize the cold reality?
Where does this boat sail, if Hope's waves disappear from the ocean of euphoria?
As they make way for a silent, dead sea, where your reflection is all you can get for company.
And you'll spin round and round, and there is but emptiness, and the painful memory.
What if Cloud Nine was but a promise, a remnant thought, something to somehow secure your sanity.
Something incredibly impossible, yet something for which we'd all hope it would come to be.
That safety net,

Of all them glitters gold
The shamed guardian of spirits fate
Refused to do as told
With all them glistens gold
Death to those ye held dear
The renegade who failed yet told
Of his human form he keeps so near
Life to those the disgrace held dear
Cherished his humanity, required to die
The soul keeper abandons in fear
Gathers before the first few born, ask only why
Treasures his humanity, for now he has judgment
To curse those scorned by his tainted ploy
Reaffirms those churning space and mind, and went
Fate sealed with the realms and the Original One destroys
Ye loved those scorned by your tainted ploy
The shamed guardians ironic fate
Pitying words sealed the world, left behind those three

When I look into your eyes,
I am lost in your spell.
Your eyes are as cold as ice,
Yet I feel a surge of warmth.
That warmth consumes me,
And holds me better than your arms ever could.
I love the way your hair gleams in the light,
It makes you an even more handsome sight.
Your loving is the only loving that can save me,
I try to resist you but my body will not allow me to be.
I want to be without you,
Yet I cannot live without you.
I love you,
But do you love me?
The answer is no,
And I must sadly go.
I can no longer be devoted to you,
The Fallen to my succubus side.
I waste away slowly,
While you do not care.
I wish I could own your heart,
But that will never be.

It was dark… so dark… a black abyss of nothingness that of which is my soul, my being. In this place, there is always the faintest of lights, but I can never reach it, for it always fades away as soon as I get close…
My eyes opened, and I was thrust back into the real world once more. The steady sound of my heartbeat and breathing was all I heard, if I listen close enough that is. I sat up and blinked away the feeling in my eyes until my vision cleared up, looking around I saw I was still inside the office building I had taken refuge in last night.
The morning sun shone in through broken windows of the room, bouncing off of the metal tables and lighting it up, showing scattered old document papers and broken glass and smashed light bulbs. The cubicles were all disrupted and the small walls had fallen to the floor, showing desks covered in dust and broken computer monitors.
The smell of mold permeated from one of the bathrooms prompting me
The Journey of Chase CH. 6: The Liquescent DuelAfter a good night's rest a the pokemon Center Chase decided that he should try to take on the Gym of Cerulean City. He stocked up on battle supplies, made sure his Pokemon were well fed, and marched his way to the gym.The Journey of Chase CH. 6: The Liquescent Duel1 year ago in General Fiction More Like This
Disappointingly, there was a sign on the door stating that the gym was closed for the day due to the Leader having a personal day.
Chase could not believe his luck. Two of the first three gyms he visited were closed. After the frustration of meeting Delilah the day before, and all the preparation he'd done for that day, he was furious. He began to stomp around the door of the gym, cursing and yelling at the building, the sky, anything.
A kid was walking past and saw the commotion, so he stepped over to Chase and tugged on his shirt. Chase stopped stomping when he felt the tug. He looked around and saw the kid staring up at him. He composed himself and asked what the child wanted.
"If you're here for Misty, I know where she is," the boy said.
"Really! Where? Is it close?

Chase, with Nidoran by his side, exploded from the cave, running as fast as they could. Following close behind them, a swarm of Zubat flooded out of he cave like water from a firehose. Thousands of Zubat chased him out of the cave, blocking out the sun in the process. After circling the skies for a few seconds the Zubat poured into to the cave as quickly as they emerged.
Chase continued to run until one of the onlookers informed him that the Zubat had gone. He turned around to look, and laughed maniacally.
"Ha! I win! You couldn't beat us! We're the best team ever! Right Nidoran!?" Nidoran was still panting from the running, so he nodded in agreement. Chase laughed again as he fell to the ground. He lifted his closed hand closer to his face to marvel at the treasure he had unc
The Journey of Chase CH. 3: Golden FriendshipsChase started his journey by walking out of Pallet, through Route 1, but didn't quite know where he was headed. He knew that Viridian was the nearest city, and that it was north of Pallet. Other than that, he wasn't sure. So, he pulled out the map his mom placed in his bag, and contemplated his next move. The Journey of Chase CH. 3: Golden Friendships1 year ago in General Fiction More Like This
"Okay Nidoran, where should we go first? Viridian City or Cinnabar Island?" Chase looked down at him and Nidoran gave a quick yelp. "That's what I was thinking. Viridian it is!" Nidoran yelped again, and they marched through the fields of Route 1, towards Viridian.
Along the way they find a few wild pokemon, and battle them to train up and practice for trainer battles. He wasn't sure, yet, if he wanted to take on the gym challenge and face the Pokemon League, but he knew he wouldn't catch many pokemon if he didn't practice battling with Nidoran. So they battled the many pidgeys and rattata that scurried through the tall grass in their wake.
After many days of toughening up in the wild
The Journey of Chase CH. 12: Villains and HeroesWhen they awoke, Chase decided to read up on the Gym Leader, Janine, and try to come up with a strategy for defeating her. Delilah made sure all of the Pokémon were fed and properly stretched before their battle. She even had her Pokémon exercise with his, just in case. Of course, when she saw her cute, little baby Pokémon exercising, she couldn't help but pick them up and hug them. When they were ready to go, Chase and Delilah began to walk towards the gym. After their safari exploration yesterday they felt that they grew closer to each other. All the things within my heart,

No really, I want to know,
I'm addicted to struggle and harsh words fill my syringe,
I dope up and then I'm ready to go,
Lost in a daze of hallucinations that won't stay, so I binge,
Praying this insanity never lets me go.
Is that a challenge?
I could quit any time I want,
but quitters never win and I'm winning everything,
Though I may lack the sophistication other junkies flaunt,
I am just as unpredictable as the real thing,
So I dare you, I double dare you to give me a taunt.

Count away a thousand lies, they dealt behind you,
Cried tears both innocent and pained through the dazzled mercies of the rain…
Just to breathe again, tried to find mercy through the fire…
Climbed the slope of pure desire, only to lose you,
Burdened eyes see the truth, all the scars; you hide beneath,
All the promises they make, dreams don’t dance in front of you,
You lay behind the fabled truths, and lies reminisce.
Look through the veils, the hidden wall, and the mirrored stare you harbor now.
Kind words still fail to reach the person you used to be.
Healing you were just mere, maybe a dream, maybe a fantasy,
You held on so strongly, inside, but we all…see…
You’re not hiding behind a waterfall, only to appear then fade…
The ashes held you, for the longest time, they spoken…
In melody and rhyme and accepted…hidden infinites,

Trip frowned. “I don’t know.”
Something shuffled in the undergrowth nearby. The two friends swept around, their feet swishing through the fallen rembranch leaves as they stared at the bush from where the sudden shaking had emanated.
“Is someone there?”
Ares glanced at Trip, trying to hide any unease. Trip took a gentle step towards the bush, his arms slightly raised as he tried to keep his balance. Despite his attempted deftness, the leaves underfoot betrayed his movements. He gently moved closer. The bush stayed still. Ares squinted, trying to see if anything was behind it from where she was stood. It was very still indeed. Almost… too still.
