News on Sonic Jackets Custom DesignsHello Everyone!!!!News on Sonic Jackets Custom Designs3 years ago in Personal More Like This
As you all know about my little project of making this Sonic the Hedgehog/ Sonic the Werehog Jacket- Dress, some of you ask to do other characters as well, so did! I just loved how it looked but , again, I am saving money to make them and maybe sell them as well.
I am also thinking of posting up my designs and make some jackets to sell on a website, and also sell some handmade dolls too, of rather sonic dolls, cat maid dolls and etc. (maybe I'll start making :iconTailsDollplz: Tails Doll :iconTailsDollplz: dolls first hehe )
FOR THE MOMMENT I AM NOT SELLING THESE JACKETS
I will also be taking commission of making your fan characters into a Jacket designs
If you see something wrong with the Jackets, something to improve the jackets more, or if I should even make them at all
Please comment and let me know

YOUNG JUSTICE: CANCELLATIONWith this online art community, we have a unique opportunity to connect with our kindred. We must avail ourselves of this experience, for it may never come again.YOUNG JUSTICE: CANCELLATION2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Yes, YOUNG JUSTICE fans, the sad news is now official. This very popular show will -- Reach-- its abrupt and premature end with the conclusion of Season Two. It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the reports. Of course, none of us was able to say anything about it since last year. It was a very fun ride. As for the reasons behind the cancellation, I can only say that it was beyond the control of WB Animation, and that the decision was made by the powers at Cartoon Network (bless 'em). On behalf of the producers, and the rest of our dedicated crew at YOUNG JUSTICE, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the loyal fans who supported us, who shared the dream with us, and who will continue to love the YOUNG JUSTICE universe
Alternate RealityHello Fellow Deviants!Alternate Reality2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Every couple of years I manage to crawl out of my dungeon and rejoin the public world for a few hours. This time around the outing was very special as I visited one of my favorite local Las Vegas comic shops. Alternate Reality Comics hosted a lovely reception for me as the feature artist of their October 2012 Artist Spotlight.

We're back at Comic-Con!
Last year, our sponsorship of Artists' Alley was a huge success. We were able to provide a more comfortable environment for the artists, display their art on huge screens over the Alley, and let people attending the convention draw with deviantART muro on fantastic digital screens. We plan to do this and more in 2012 as we take on the great pleasure of sponsoring Artists' Alley at San Diego Comic-C

At least 12 people were murdered, and many more were wounded; some of them are in critical condition.
If you are a spiritual person, please say a prayer for the dead, the dying, and those living touched by this tragedy.
If you are not a spiritual person, any happy thoughts or kind gestures would surely be appreciated.
Please refrain from any speculation, politicization, rumor-mongering, conclusion-jumping, finger-pointing, and other similarly inappropriate behavior for just a little while, if possible. It hasn't even been 12 hours since the tragedy took place, and that sort of unproductive demagoguery is already being handled nicely by the 24-hour news venues.
Real tragedies like this happen, all over the world, and our responsibility to our fellow man is to render aid & support, be it large or small, in times of crisis.

5 Comic Book Truths (that I don't think are true)There are lots of tips, chestnuts, and other pieces of advice that I've heard over the years--tidbits of wisdom passed on from one generation to the next, from professional to professor to prospective student. Some of them are drawing tips, some of them are tricks to dealing with publishers, and some are general guidelines on how to survive in comics. Most of them are useful and true and will stand the test of time, but a few of them have become hackneyed platitudes and have gone unquestioned for too long. Here are 5 that I'm questioning...5 Comic Book Truths (that I don't think are true)11 months ago in Personal More Like This
1. READERS WILL ONLY LOOK AT A PANEL FOR 5 SECONDS, SO DON'T SWEAT IT TOO MUCH.
I understand the intention of this bit of wisdom, and I mostly agree with it: drawing great interiors is important, but at the same time, you don't want to get bogged down with small details that most readers won't even notice.
But here's my concern with this: if you treat every panel like it's disposable, then you're less likely to make an impact with reader

Before we get into the thick of things, we didn’t have a photo of our huge plasma screens hanging from the convention ceiling to share in our Day 1 recap, so we vowed to get that to you today! The 11 foot wide screens stream amazing works of art from Artists' Alley participants to the whole convention floor!
In Comic-Cons past, the foot traffic In Artists’ Alley got busier and busier as the week progressed, and this year is no exception. There’s something magical about speaking one-on-one with a deviant, learning their experiences, hearing how they started as an artist, and how far they’ve come. It’s an emotional connection to make with someone who was practically a stranger a few moments ago -- and then you realize you’re not really strangers when you

An Important UpdateSome of you may be wondering why the newest strip is titled "JL8 #67."An Important Update2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The title "Little League" actually infringes on existing trademark, and I've been asked to re-title the strip, which I'm doing. It is now going to be titled "JL8." That being said, I have until Aug. 31st to also change the name of the Facebook and Tumblr pages. Fortunately, Tumblr allows a pretty easy switch, but I'll also have to change the URL. This is important because I know a lot of my readers have the current page bookmarked. On Sept. 1, that bookmark will no longer work, as the original page won't exist. If you'd all be so kind as to bookmark the URL:
That will be where the site is hosted beginning Sept. 1. I plan on reminding everyone with each update leading up to that date, but I recommend just bookmarking it now. There's nothing there yet, but next Thursday this page will pop up there.
As for the Facebook page, I've begun transitioning fans away from the current "Little League"

The song sequence is 4-ish minutes long, so I'm not sure how quickly I'll be able to finish it. I'm hoping it'll only be 2 weeks, but with Monstercat work I have to also work on, it could take a bit longer.
Rest assured tho, it's coming soon.
Last night I posted some concept art from our next project after 'RDP: Bittersweet' - a parody of Hasbro's 'Equestria Girls' - 'Equestria Primates'. Some of you noticed that I referred to it as our finale. Allow me to clarify.
'Equestria Primates' is going to be our planned last pony related animation (which means, yes, 'RDP: Bittersweet' is the last RDP). Both Greg and I are transitioning into new stages in our lives. Greg is going to be married soon and plans on starting a family, and I'm moving to Vancouver to start working full-time for Monstercat. We're both entering phases in which releasing massive animated videos is no longer feasible. S
A Naked New YearFor the record I welcomed 2013 in a proper dress but I did want to address my new fascination with nudity. For years I have been doing shots that have craftily avoided the visual of the "nether regions". Lately I have abandoned that rule and for good reason. It is my opinion that the female body is the most beautiful and incredible thing ever created. I dont see any shame in it and I believe in smashing down the old stereotypes that sex and sexuality is a dirty thing. I have been researching alot on what it is that defines the border between porn and art and I think it is about time that we ladies reclaimed our naughty bits from the dirtbags and the pornogrpahers who have taken sole, visual possession of them. I believe that nudity, full female nudity can be portrayed with elegance and artistry. I also believe that sexuality can be portrayed with absolute and utmost dignity and elegance. I realize that many people think that photos and visuals depicting things such as masturbation andA Naked New Year2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Obsolete InkingLately I've been doing work for DC Direct--the wing of DC in charge of statues, toys, etc. It's been a nice break from PRJ. The money is good, and it hasn't been soulless like I imagined. Corporate gigs can go either way--sometimes they want you to do exactly what "they" want, other times they want you to do your thing unencumbered. Luckily this was the latter.Obsolete Inking3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The rates for toy designs are broken down into three parts: you get paid for the sketches, the final pencils and the inks. For this gig, the inking rate was higher than my normal inking rate. It felt good, but then I realized that 25% of my fee was for inks. And it raised an unsettled concern that's been on my mind.
How long will inkers be needed?
In the old days they needed inkers because computers weren't yet being used in print. I forget the name of the machine that preceded the scanner (process cameras?), but it was low-tech enough that i

Limitation Added to deviantWATCH
Due to constraints within the +Watch system, we have added a 5,000 deviant limit to the amount of deviants you can +Watch. This change only affects a very small amount of deviants, all of whom have been contacted privately regarding the matter. In the future, you will receive a notification if you attempt to watch more than 5,000 deviants.
Please note also that this only affects how many deviants you can +Watch, not how many deviants can +Watch you.
Is this a fucking joke? You're LIMITING HOW MANY PEOPLE SOMEONE CAN WATCH?!
Granted, I don't watch THAT many people, but I can't imagine how some people feel for those who do, and want to keep up to date with people's arts. Yea, I can't keep up with my current watch list, but if something catches my eye, I will stop to look at it.
Bottom line: This is stupid, plain and simple.
One last reminderOne last reminder in case you haven't been paying attention (in which case you might not read this either, but you can't blame a girl for trying). Rain is on hiatus and will not be updating for at least a few weeks. I learned recently that I have cancer, and although it's looking to be very treatable and that I'll probably be just fine, it's absolutely still scary and stressful and exhausting. One last reminder1 month ago in Personal More Like This
I'm trying to keep a good attitude, but if I can limit how much stress I'm dealing with, that would be great in helping with that. For example, deadlines can be pretty stressful. Especially, when you've fallen behind after a week and a half of running around to talk to doctors, and get tests done. So I might still draw during this time, but like a normal hiatus, it will be at my own pace without looming deadlines hovering over my head. Anything I do right now, I want to be kind of relaxing. It helps with the whole positivity thing, I think.
Other than that, it'll probably be a slow few weeks. If

What is therianthropy?
Therianthropy is a spiritual belief which can be very wide and diverse in its interpretation. As with any group of people it has its 'extremists' who put the rest of them to shame and creates a stereotype.
Therianthropy seems to be a derivative of shamanism the likes of which was practiced by ancient American indians and possibly other cultures.
The most common 'types' of therianthropy out there are as such:
Totems and spirit guides
Some therian's define their spirituality through animal totems and spirit guides. Spiritual entities separate from themselves that shape and g

Just a thoughtHey everyone, lately I've been checking some stuff out with my sis :iconred-madness: (my real sister) and we've been seeing some stuff that you could say is...harsh.Just a thought3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Because there ARE people that are you could call them the 'Too-good-to-talk-or-write-to-you' type and I think it's just wrong cause someone (I won't say names) actually had the guts to put up a journal and point out the people that want to watch him/her and even give a warning to the others if they do it again. Why would someone do that?
Personally...I think DA is kinda harsh...because some (almost everyone) don't watch some people because they don't draw good or aren't good writers with fanfics and so on.
That's the only cruel thing about this place...but you wanna know something...I don't care about it.
I've been taught one thing by my mom and dad 'Don't judge if you don't like to be judged', sure some people aren't DaVinci or Picasso but they have feelings and wishes just like I do and a lot of people in the world.

So I basically watched the whole thing, although I definitely payed the most attention to Nintendo. I mean, Microsoft's show was somewhat amusing, but I have pretty strong doubts that I'll ever have an Xbox One. The most exciting thing they showed was easily Dragon Age: Inquisition (because it'll be on PS3 too, so it's not like I have to buy a new system for it). Sony's conference meanwhile outright put me to sleep. I love Sony and all, but that was boring as snot. And they completely lost me when they started spending way too long talking about watching TV with your PS4. Although I will probably get a PS4 someday (when it has more than two games I'm vaguely curious about, that is), I don't have plans to get one any time soon. I think that was the hardest part of this E3 too. First E3 after new consoles launch is always rough for people like me who aren't gonna have them yet.
That said, I actually do ha
RIP JOE KUBERTToday is a very sad day for me, and many other "Kubies."RIP JOE KUBERT2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I had just sat down for dinner when I received a phone call from my good friend John Trumbull, who let me know that he'd just read that comic book legend, Joe Kubert has passed away. At this time, I don't have any details, but as a former student of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, I can't say just how this news stunned me.
Joe was a mega-talent in the comic book industry. He did everything there was to do and wore every hat there was to wear in the business--editor, writer, penciller, inker--he did it all. He won Eisner and Harvey Awards, National Cartoonist Society Awards, and even the Alley Award for his work. He is best known for his work on characters like HAWKMAN, TARZAN, and my favorite, SGT. ROCK.
He started up the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art (now just called The Kubert School) with his wife Muriel in 1976. Many great artists honed their skills in the little town of Dover, NJ under Joe an
GAY CAVEMANANGRY: Just read a bunch of articles about the supposed discovery of a gay caveman. I have no doubt that gay cavemen existed, but the reasoning for thinking that this particular skeleton was gay ("a homosexual or a transvestite" were the only possible conclusions that these articles came to) is that the skeleton was biologically male, but buried in a way that we have only previously found females buried.GAY CAVEMAN2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I hate to break it to these scientists, but not all cultures in history have viewed sexuality as having anything to do with gender stereotypes. Many cultures throughout history have accepted homosexual behaviors as the norm, without our culture's stigmas of "gay men are girly men" or "lesbians are butch man haters". There are plenty of cultures throughout history that accepted transgender, gender varient, and dual gendered people as existing, and respected that those things were okay.
Obviously they couldn't have sex changes at the time, but is it so fucking hard to conceive of the not
