I was imagining the terrain of Northrend while waiting for the World of Warcraft expansion.

(Expansion is coming out on 11/13! And I figured that there is no such terrain in the game. T_T)

This is a painting I did based from the region in World of Warcraft, also called "The Eastern Plaguelands". It's loosely based off of the Light's Hope Chapel from the game. I did this in a couple of weeks in a frantic effort to get it into the graduating art show at the McClarin Art Centre, and it made it in, so I was happy ^_^

It's 56 by 39cm and is acrylic paint.

Deep in the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens rests a beautiful location known as Batsto Village. The site of a former bog iron and glass-making industrial center used from 1766 to 1867. Currently, it reflects the agricultural and commercial enterprises that existed at the site in the late 19th century. "Batsto" is derived from the Swedish word "Batstu", meaning "bathing place". It's believed that its original residents (the Lenni Lenape Indians) borrowed the term as old deeds of the area mention an "Indian Batstu".

This is the banner of Stromgarde, yet another of the 7 nations of Arathor, and the original city that branched the other nations.

This is based off the original concept art created by Chris Metzen, created in Photoshop CS3.
