HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

----

Thank you so much for the daily deviation.
It's an honor for me to know that this work had enough potential to become so. However please understand that I didn't put a lot of effort into this one like I usually do with my original works, since it was a gift for a friend and I had to finish this in time.
Thank you again...

There are things necessary and basic to more then the body - needs for the soul: expression, creation, passion, love, understanding, and more...
Some lesser people find these things frightening or imposing when coming from others - but, if anyone lets that fear dominate them into trying to suppress these things in others, no heaven can save them from their mistake. Nor should they be saved.

Warria (on the left) and Sivia (on the right) are (c) to Abby Klem, 2004. This piece was commissioned by her.

Pencil sketches on cardstock, 2 hours
Photoshop 7 with tablet, 6 hours

about 8 hours total.

If you can't tell, I had a lot of fun with this commission... I've never drawn "skeleton armor" before, so I learned what that looked like... and I learned how to make a starfield by using this tutorial...

[link]

And I overdid it, considering it's never possible to see that many stars when you're under an atmosphere :p But oh well. I did try to draw the grass, but it ended up looking painfully bad, so I had to resort to the photoshop grass brush, unfortunately. Aside from a few stray/unground blades, I think it turned out fine.

I didn't mean for the clouds to be transparent, I thought I erased a bunch of those stars, but I guess they survived. Damn longevous stars.

My commission info is here:

Skilled in the arts of the sword, knighted, and honorably chosen to become a part of the Noble Nine. A group of highly skilled knights to protect the world from threats, and to stay amongst the code.

Chances wasn't always the somber one, before he became a part of the Noble Nine, Chances was a sprite, eager young lad, ready to follow among the footsteps of his greatest hero, Oslin the Great, the leader of the Nobles. He was trained at a ripe age along with seven others, each carefully chosen by Oslin himself to be the forever protectors of the earth. However, recent events have led hances to lead on his own, and so, the Noble Nine had become the Eight. Now, Chances liveson his own, trying to find his true calling while living amongst the booze ridden and the lower beings. But after he hears word of the King's decree against his master, he travels onward to find the cause, and meet his greatest challenges yet.

Chances relys on the sword given to him by his master, The Galileo, a powerful sword which holds the might of Chances himself. Chances also weilds the Knights choice of movement, the rocket pack, for the world he lives is an olde one, but advanced with some technology. Chances' main method of battle is his agility within the air.

Gift for one of my best RL buddies, Monique! ("Monicaaah" ^^) w00t! She’ll turn 18 Wednesday :) (Smile) She’s been asking me if I could draw her something since forever and I felt sorta bad for never doing so n_n; So here she is! I hope she’ll like it :3 She loves cats and the colours purple and blue (obviously XD ), that’s why I drew her like this ^_^

Monique’s actually not so much of the tough gurl, in fact she’s rather sweet, someone one can joke around with. Lots LOL But.. seeing as my gallery’s already full of that crap, I thought I’d try something different ;3 She still looks cute, doesn’t she? *_* Roar! Damn my style to hell and back! *shakes fist at cutesie w00tsie style* XD

More random notesies:

- Her arms have the same markings as the tip of her tail.. purple till halfway, then a bit white, and a bit more purple. But I thought the slipping jacket thinger would be sorta cool ;3
- The background SUCKS O_o
- Her mouth looks weird..
- That mouse plushie is usually hanging from her bag ^_^;; I hate the goddamn thing.. I tend to use it for voodoo practices }:3
- If she'd been a white cat she would have looked a lot like Manuella! LOL! LOL
- Isn't this picture MUCH cooler than the Mona Lisa? I mean, dude! Monicah Lisa! rofl
- Yum, details ^_^
- And now Eef is off to bed!

The "Three Kings" of Zircoda.. They're not actually kings, but rather a force of individuals determined to bring their fallen country back to it's former splendor. They follow the ideals of Silas Bade, who started the idea with his own actions, thus inspiring these three kings.
Left to right-- Earnest Saltman, Quincy Fossa, Saul Black.

I spent much time on this in Painter 7, and even with the cutesy appearance of the characters, I'm quite pleased with the result.

Don't mind the title, these are the same characters from that pic "A Warrior's Love" I did a while back... their creator wanted a tattoo design featuring them, for her calf. The tribal stuff I just added in for fun (any excuse to practise it - I'm gonna design one for myself if I can ever afford to get one ^^), and she decided to keep it. She's going to get it greyscale-shaded, I can't wait to see the real thing :3

Inked with my Pilot pens (I much prefer them to Microns) and touched up in PS. Characters © Abigail

Once upon a time, there was a fetching young wolverine who, wearing her favorite red hood, went skipping through the fields, on the way to her grandmother's house, carrying a basket of tasty goodies.*

A wolf, who was lurking at the edge of the woods, descended upon the young wolverine and said "Hello, little red riding wolverine, and where are you going in such a hurry?"

"To visit my grandmother," said the young wolverine, as demure and maidenly as a gravelly wolverine baritone can be.

"To visit your...to...grand...to..my goodness, what big teeth you have..." said the wolf, who seemed to have lost his train of thought somewhere.

The wolverine nodded.

"And what...big...claws...you have..." said the wolf, in much the same tone as General Custer commenting on the surprising number of locals at Little Bighorn.

The wolverine nodded.

"I'll just bugger off, shall I?" said the wolf.

The wolverine nodded.

The wolf slunk gratefully back into the trees and hyperventilated quietly, and the little red riding wolverine skipped merrily through the woods to her grandmother's house and they ate assorted rodents and watched cartoons and baked cookies happily ever after.

8 x 14 on illo board, mixed media, and I have no idea either, I was just staring vaguely into space and thought "Hey, that story would have been way different with a WOLVERINE!" and...um...yeah. No clue. Trying out a new type of illo board--knowing what I do now, would have planned a lot more foliage, but at the time I was playing it cautious because I wasn't sure how much you could lift off it. Original for sale, perfect gift for any wolverine lover out there who has already exhausted the broad range of wolverine related merchandise, prints also available, visit [link] or send a note if I haven't updated yet.

*Pepperidge Farms' Mixed Rodent Party Assortment, to be precise, a pretty good value for the money, although everybody always picks through and eats the gerbils first.
