Ive been meaning to color this (and the other lions ) for a while now...but my scanner just dissapeared. @_@ I had to use my celphone to take a picture of the original sketch..and the picture quality sucked so it was even harder for me to make this guy look decent. Hmm...it could had come out better, but meh. Also I was aiming to make this guy more "zoidy",why zoidy? Because IMO the original lion designs can't really keep up with all the more "advanced" animal mecha that have emerged after the 80's. Have you seen the feline and canine zoids? The lions just seem way to simple compare to them. >.> Don't get me wrong,I like the original designs...but I thought it'd be fun to modify em..

My entry for :iconvacuumslayer: 10,000 pageview contest. The name of the piece comes from the fact that when I started it I had about 10,000 different ideas, and spent a great deal of time trying to esthetically convey those ideas.

Photoshop brushes used are courtesy of :iconvacuumslayer: and :iconjavierzhx:

Say Yey for Massive brush/layer/effects pasting =P
Wonder what people think of lazy massive effect pasting -.-

Aaaaanyways... Narukami wearing Christie's outfit from DOA4 =D (I quite wanted to test one of my characters with one of Christie's outfits, this is the only one that seemed to suit the match)... I could just say I attemped to make a diferent suit in the same theme blabla excuse to justify TERRIBLE MISMATCHES on the suit, flames and spikes on mismatched places etc. For any DOA fan that might seen just TERRIBLE, specially for one who wants to be Christie's numba 1 T_T , that's what happens when you try using a existing stuff without taking a SINGLE REFERENCE. The thing is, I don't really own a xbox neither a DOA game T_T hopefully that will change next year with a possible job and all. Omgz I feel so terrible for these flaws...
Next will be Bob wearing Christie's small leather outfit *shot* NO WAY!!
Wille I do like the looks of it, takes away a bit of his concept, sort of takes Narukami back to a basic furry, when he's also a Yokai. I might trythis looks more often, I did like it...

ps.: yep... those are teeth coming out of his pants...
pss.: yep, Christie's pants have teeth

EDIT: moved to scraps

Narukami (c) me Manganiac AKA Eduardo Cezar
Christie (c) TECMO Team NINJA

What it says on the tin! interesting for a direct comparison =) I think yo uhave to confront your fears head on. I was quite scared id attempt to do a better picture/different picture and itd end up just being nowhere near as good as my first attempt. Which is scayr because well ... thatd mean i hadnt improved in over 2 years XD. But well, i think ive done an ok job at making a different take on it ... especially considering colouring, and digital, is still comparatively new to me.

All comments welcome and appreciated!

Fourth set of story boards... project I'm working on with Mr. Powell, which also happens to be for my Sequential Imaging class.

Nekro is so badass. :D

I think this is my favorite set, esp. the middle panel. Morbid? Never!
