So, a few weeks ago, this girl who who goes to my school and her mother were shot by an elderly man who went a bit crazy. He shot the mom, Jo, in the head, killing her instantly. Ozzie, the daughter, ran from him and was shot 3 times in the legs. She's okay now. Anyways, that week at school all you heard was about Ozzie and Jo and the family, etc. Everyone signed big posters that said 'Get Well Soon' or 'Stay Strong' and things like that. Then they sold balloons to release that Friday after the pep rally. The funeral was that Saturday, and a lot of people from our school went, except me. At the pep rally today, it was Senior Day, so they had a slide-show with pictures from all of the fall sports and of the seniors. On one slide, they had a picture of the balloons being released and it said 'In Loving Memory of JoJo Watters.'
You know what everyone did when my dad had a heart attack and d
Tracing.I love how everyone treats tracers like crap. Not normal crap, flaming crap that ends up on your doorstep. I mean, people like that piss me off to no end. "Tracing doesn't help you improve." BULL. I traced when I was eigth, and back hen I couldn't draw a stick horse. Even I have to admit I have improved. I know so many people who have improved thanks to tracing, and no thanks to your complaining. "Theres no effort involved in tracing." What, are we starting a bull ranch now? There is more effort than you think. Just because we can't do total freehand realism stuff that looks like a photograph like you can, doesn't mean you have to be a snob about it. People like that don't deserve talent. If your like that, I don't care if you can draw good or anything, your art resembles crap to me. And you know what? We have ALL traced. When we were little, in kindergarden or whatever, we traced letters. Helped us improve, didn't it? I trace, am I going to burn in hell for it? NTracing.1 year ago in Personal More Like This

As everyone knows I have an Autobot symbol on the back windshield of my vehicle.
This vehicle that I have seen is a yellow Jeep, no ties into the Transformers movie vehicles that I had seen as in the two Cameros that I've seen a yellow with heavily tinted windows and a red one. This one has this tattooed on the back windshield - Shhh . . . I'm a Autobot Transformer.
The word Autobot was done with the Autobot symbol and she did it all herself.
I was placing the note under her wiper when she came back to her vehicle. I introduced myself.
My car's name is CJ. Remember this, as this will be important in a moment.
and told her that I love her vehicle's Autobot tattoos. I showed her mine and we got to talk about everything about Transformers for about five minutes before I had to head off. But when she told me her name, that was when I was totally shocked.
Her name is CJ!
I was like totally shocked by this and I told her so. We both had a giggle about it
7-11 Claims it knows who is going to win.Below is an article posted by the Huffingtonpost, it claims that 7-11 sells drinks colored red for Romney and blue for Obama. With an average of 6million sales one could say that this kind of polling though skewed does show some interesting ideas and concepts. Unlike most other polls it hits a much larger crowd, but leaves room for repeats, IG people buying more than 1 drink for Obama or Romney.7-11 Claims it knows who is going to win.1 year ago in Personal More Like This
What are your thoughts considering that whom they believe will be the winner and what the current standing polls say are very different, does it represent the real class of American's? I'll be honest I for one have not set foot in a 7-11 for about 10years. What does it say about the customers? Are more middle class people really voting for Obama or are we being skewed by media?
"Mitt Romney should take a big gulp -- 7-Eleven shoppers have already decided on President Obama.
According to 7-Eleven's "7-Election" poll, which allows coffee drinkers to pick a blue cup for Obama or a red one for Romn

Hello, fellow Pern dorks! It is I, Charlotte Moore, director of Anne McCaffrey's Worlds at Dragon*Con (better known as Weyrfest). I have some news that may appeal to you artsy-fartsy types!
For several years, we ran an AMC-themed costume contest. It used to be super-packed and a bit chaotic, but in recent years our entries dwindled enough that last year, we decided not to do it at all. Sadface.
THIS year, we really really really want to bring it back. It's our first year without Anne McCaffrey in the world, and we think it's important to honor her memory by showing up and looking awesome.
As an incentive, Jody Lynn Nye -- co-author of The Dragonlover's Guide to Pern, Treaty at Doona, The Ship Who Won, and more -- has declared that, if we have at LEAST 20 CONTESTANTS in this year's contest, the grand prize winner will have a place as a character in one of her books.
So. If you doing have anything else to do Labor Day weekend, and you can get yourself to Atlanta, GA,

Here are a few articles that might be of some interest to you all!
The Syrian regime has been using children as human shields, and is torturing youths whose parents are suspected dissidents according to a UN report. A human rights group (Humans Rights Watch) is imploring the UN Security Council to impose an arms embargo on Syria, saying that the council should impose targeted sanctions such as asset freezes and travel bans on Syrian leaders. It is estimated that at least 1,176 children have been killed in Syria since February 2011.

The fact that Timothy Brown is a reasonably healthy 46-year-old is no small thing. Only a few years ago, he had AIDS.
"I feel good," Brown told ABC News. "I haven't had any major illnesses, just occasional colds like normal people."
Brown is the only person in the world to be cured of AIDS, the result of a transplant of blood stem cells he received to treat leukemia.
"My case is the proof in concept that HIV can be cured," he said.
Brown got lucky. The blood stem cells he received came from a donor with a special genetic mutation that made him resistant to HIV. The genetic mutation occurs in less than 1 percent of Caucasians, and far less frequently in people of other races. Before Brown got his transplant in 2007, doctors tested nearly 70 donors for this genetic mutation before they found one who was a match.
But doctors hope that a similar solution could help other people with HIV: umbilical cord blood transplants.

Pinhead Sunday Sermon: Justice?Forgive me if you think I'm callous for posting this Dick Cheney/Trayvon Martin mash upPinhead Sunday Sermon: Justice?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
but it's my way of processing tragedies, let me explain....
After the tragic death of Trayvon Martin, and the news that Dick Cheney had a heart surgically implanted in his body, I have to ask myself this question:
What kind of benificent god would take the life of an innocent child, and spare the life of an evil old man?
Further evidence comes from the neverending saga of the omnipresent Kardasians.
What kind of deity (or JUSTICE SYSTEM for that matter) would bring a swift arrest after Kim Kardasian was "antiqued" or "flour bombed", but do NOTHING after a black child was shot and KILLED?
This "ungodly" treatment of Trayvon's family is an embarrassing disgrace to Florida, and the American Justice System....so far, anyway.
I've posted 'More than just AWKWARD, Dick' on a few Atheist groups, for good reason, to my way of thinking.

Three good reasons to not hate Valentine's Day1. I don't care if it's a 'commercial' holiday, honestly. What Holiday isn't commercial these days? Halloween and Christmas aren't any more untouched by Hallmark than Valentine's Day, so using that as an excuse for why you hate it is really not valid at all.Three good reasons to not hate Valentine's Day2 years ago in Personal More Like This
2. The negativity being spread by people and their 'Valentine's Day is crap' messages all over the place is really making it hard for those of us who enjoy it to, you know, actually enjoy it. You can dislike it as much as you please, but do so in a way that isn't effecting how much I or anyone else enjoys the Holiday.
3. There is far too much irrational hate out there as it is, and complaining about how shitty of a holiday it is isn't going to ever help any cause ever. It's only going to annoy the shit out of me, and make you look like a bitter ol' grump who could never get another human being to like them. Not that I'm saying that applies to everyone as a fact, but that's exactly how you portray yourself when you openly stuff your

Paragraph ONE: The Macro Level
Living in Bahrain hasn't been easy. It use to be a calm place where people like myself would dwell into meaningless activities to keep ourselves busy since the stereotype of Bahrainis is true - we are lazy. But that's only because we're bored. Now, with the King loosing his mind and announcing Martial Law and allowing his neighbouring states to occupy the country on INVITATION, we (the people) have started a new mindless activity - staying alive. The will to survive and stay safe has never been as strong. Each individual within the borders of this kingdom have felt the change and have been forced into this new routine: Waking up, checking the news, checking if its safe outside, coming back as soon as possible and staying home until we fall asleep. No one has the balls to stay out after dark and if they are out, they are paranoid as fuck. The people of the country are not only going through an

- Smoking was everywhere, from airplane interiors to hospitals to the neighborhood breakfast bar. And its negative health effects were not widely acknowledged.
- The typical family had a working father and stay-at-home mother. Society and economics was geared to support that lifestyle.
- Gays were well-closeted and few dared to peek out. Those who did were often openly shunned.
- Conditions like ADD/ADHD and Aspergers and many others were undiagnosed and even bipolar disorder seemed less that understood by most.
- Most houses had a single telephone (though some people illegally added another independently purchased phone off their single land line).
- Most homes had a single TV – B&W and not usually larger than 20". You ha

Fact vs. Myth: What Anti-Wolfers Keep From YouIt's time to separate truth from fiction with this article. As a wolf lover and activist, you will most likely be encountered by these lies typically regurgitated by those who favor the sadistic, illogical, unethical, and unscientific killing of wolves. So here's what you should know.Fact vs. Myth: What Anti-Wolfers Keep From You7 months ago in Personal More Like This
MYTH: There are plenty of gray wolves in America...over 100,000, and they are far from being endangered.
FACT: There are likely fewer than 7,000 gray wolves left in the entire lower 48 states. Rough population estimates by state, as of May 2013, are: Minnesota 3,000, Michigan 650, Wisconsin 750-800, Montana 650, Idaho 750, Wyoming 245, Oregon 46, Washington 30.
The gray wolf's long-term survival is at stake. It has barely begun to recover from being endangered, and is still absent from significant portions of its former range, where substantial suitable habitat remains. A growing body of scientific literature shows that top predators, like the wolf, play critical roles in maintaining a d
