I'm like you tree,
I grow and die,
And like you my wealthy branches sag in rain.
And also like you,
Wind blows me dry,
Still coursing through with wet remains.
We glow in a gleam,
We thrive in light
Look closely - look at me closely.
I look just like you tree.
We both burst blindly from the ground,
Hardened pilgrims from a molten core.
And we both sing a love for a womanly cloud,
Our many limbs reaching for more.
When God began to create heaven and earth, and the earth then was welter and waste and darkness over the deep and God's breath hovering over the waters, God said, 'Let there be light.' and there was light.
As many of you know, I'm not a religious person. I'm spiritual, not religious. While making this though, all that could come to mind was that first quote from the bible where God made light. Have fun.
