EDIT: Re-scanned....and yea I dont watch the show anymore. Its gotten silly...Now available as a print
Finally finished, took forever. I had some issues with the paper because I think it brushed up against some wax paper, and it left a residue on it, so the surface was kinda waxy, and therefore the neck and the shoulders have a different texture Oh well
Looking forward to next week's episode, which hopefully will be better than last night's :/
Materials: HB,2B,3B,6B,9B on bristol paper Time:....a long time Reference: Magazine picture from Entertainment Weekly, did not take it myself, claim no credit for it, do not to intend to sell...u know the whole thing. I just have kick-ass hand-eye coordination.

Holyyyyyy crap. This took me so long. I really wish it hadn't, but that's real life for ya. I've been working full-time during the summer at an amusement park....I was not amused, and it sucks ass. Worked 7-9 hrs a day, 5 days a week. Ugh. So I've barely been able to get any drawing or guitar playing in. Oh well, such is life.
So, you should all know who this man is. If not, where have you been?
I started this drawing right after seeing the Harry Potter movie, for the first time I loved it, and I was totally moved by Michael Gambon's performance as Dumbledore. He brought tears to my eyes many times during that film. Especially the scene in the cave when he battles the inferi, he looked magnificent with his last burst of strength. Gah! I could go on forever.
Anywho, hope you all enjoy this drawing, because despite the horror of actually doing all the detail, I really like this one
Time:....very, very long. Materials: graphite pencils on bristol Ref: An amazing poster from the film. Original images belong to WB, not mine, yadda yadda yadda, u get the gist. I wouldn't be working as a carny if I did own any of the original shit
Remember when you were young, You shone like the sun. Shine on you crazy diamond. Now there's a look in your eyes, Like black holes in the sky. Shine on you crazy diamond. You were caught on the crossfire Of childhood and stardom, Blown on the steel breeze. Come on you target for faraway laughter, Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, You cried for the moon. Shine on you crazy diamond. Threatened by shadows at night, And exposed in the light. Shine on you crazy diamond. Well you wore out your welcome With random precision, Rode on the steel breeze. Come on you raver, you seer of visions, Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
Nobody knows where you are, How near or how far. Shine on you crazy diamond. Pile on many more layers And I'll be joining you there. Shine on you crazy diamond. And we'll bask in the shadow Of yesterday's triumph, And sail on the steel breeze. Come on you boy child, You winner and loser, Come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine!
- Shine on You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd
I listened to this song non-stop while drawing this
All around me are familiar faces Worn out places, worn out faces Bright and early for their daily races Going nowhere, going nowhere Their tears are filling up their glasses No expression, no expression Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow No tomorrow, no tomorrow And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles It's a very, very Mad World Mad world Children waiting for the day they feel good Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday And I feel the way that every child should Sit and listen, sit and listen Went to school and I was very nervous No one knew me, no one knew me Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson Look right through me, look right through me And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles It's a very, very Mad World Mad World Enlarging your world Mad World.
Love that song, and thought it was somewhat Walter-esque.
So, a quick drawing of Walter Kovacs (aka Rorschach) from the Watchmen movie. Sorry about it being so small, it was done in my pocket sketchbook. I was in the doctors office, waiting of course forever, and I always carry a sketchbook with me, and I had this picture from the movie on my Ipod, so I sketched away...it's sooo small . So was the original, so I tried.
"Talent is an accident of genes - and a responsibility." - Alan Rickman
Done. This took a lot longer than I wanted it too, but this was my last week of College, and I had assignments exams to write. I had to squeeze this in when I could.
I just love this man. I discovered him when I was 9, back when Galaxy Quest first came out, and I thought he was just the greatest thing ever. Then, when I found out he was gonna play Snape in the Harry Potter movies, I was devoted for life.
When I was 12, I wrote a letter to him, and sent a picture. I handwrote the letter, and asked for his autograph. He sent the picture back to me, signed, and a nice letter from his agent. How could u not love this man. He also signed a picture for my younger cousin, who was 9 at the time. A lot of fans said they were getting letters of apology back, saying he was very busy and couldn't sign. But, he took the time to sign a few pics for 2 little kids. Is he not great?
So, that is my story, of my love for Alan Rickman.
Time: 5 hours-ish Materials: Graphite on bristol, put a colour layer in photoshop just to make the burntout highlights my scanner adds not so intense Ref: Photo of Alan from a press conference. Found online, not my own photo
The Great Pretender himself, one of the late greats, Freddie Mercury. One of the most incredible people and performers I have ever seen. I wish he was still here, because he had even more that he could've done.
