with ardent and sincere verse–
to maketh thee immortal,
as immortal as Heaven's constellations coruscate.
Born amidst December clutch,
I was Winter's foulest bloom.
And though you of Pisces wrought,
were truly Summer's child.
Firmly rooted in compacted snow,
I thrived most on hate of self—
forgetting that to be loved at all
requires chiefly pride.
Yet your Apollonian rays
did warm me in good time,
turning hardened petals to
earnest, churning seas of skin.
And then I bled from unstitched wounds,
fearfully, with tear-drunk smiles:
more alive, at last, than dead.

into Gehenna's bowels,
brandishing a soul through drawn eyes
and watching it all burn.
A plea for deliverance
stretches thin over this thrust
my masochist thirst insists.
If asphyxia is Heaven,
my throat is the horizon.
You can't sever midnight sky from sea,
the black from the blue.
Rolling back on my spine serpentine grande,
I at last experience revelation.
To dream in grayscale and melancholy
is to never suffer disappointment
at the hands of Life's disastrous folly.
