A corset knitted in garter, side to side, with short row gussets for the sides and bust. Amazingly, the amount of yarn used is the same amount needed to knit a pair of women's socks. Yes, my friend is that tiny.
Dec. 6: If this comment is true, I'm sorry that you all seem to think that my knitting is a joke. But this was done for a design contest in which they were looking for unique knitting designs. So pardon me for being unique and coming up with something that really hasn't been done before.
Dec. 7: Ok, since DeviantArtSnark won't allow anyone to defend themselves by prohibiting outsiders from commenting, I guess the best I can do is here. I know what a corset is. It's not meant to be a corset in the literal sense. It'd be impossible to make one from knitting alone because *any* knitting would stretch. Yes, garter has the most stretch, and no it will not stretch to hell because of the gussets that I put in, so even stretched it maintains shape (because I did knit it side to side and not bottom up).
Granted, if I wanted to take the time and sew in a lining and put in boning, it could be an actual corset. However, my friend does intend to wear it over a t-shirt and simply wants it for visual effect.
And to deviantartsnark, may I suggest next time you ask your questions to the designers/artists themselves before you post them for the world to pass judgement without having a single clue? That's why there's a comment section on the bottom of the page. Learn to use it.
