I've been wanting to follow up Retro Xplod for awhile, as a treat for all of you out there who have helped to make it my most downloaded and viewed deviation. Finally I've had the time, and bring this to you with a grand smile and an appreciative, mass dA hug!
Still (thankfully) having the original PSD from that previous piece, I tore it apart and started from the ground up.

This pack marks the second submission since the addition of a new widescreen resolution size: 2560x1600. This size will be included in all of my future packs (barring those that were created prior to this submission). As well, I sort of pulled this pack together from nothing, having lost all of my PSDs, resource libraries, and brushes to an HDD crash. Thankfully, I was able to adjust the Preview Card JPG to continue my presentation in a way that was faithful to the original PSD. three cheers for mad CS3 skills!!

"Argentum Vivum" means: Living Silver (or "Quicksilver").

I was going over the things I liked best about my previous works, and decided to try very diligently to offer you a new design that encompassed traits from my favorite walls. This is the result.

The heaviest influences here are from the Vitae Black, XRT 330, Warsight Imp, and Ag Sio lines.

Vitae had great balance and color, but seemed a little too "blocky" against more modern walls... XRT was awesome, sleek, mechanical---but alot too busy; Imp had a great fluid motion to it, but it's a little too claustrophobic for current screens. Ag siO, one of my all times faves... great use of negative space, excellent movement, lots of things to draw the eye---but also a lot technical. Nothing wrong with that, but not everyone wants technical stuff.

So I kept all of these things in mind as I was working this piece.... and made sure to take great care in the resizing this time, to better meet the needs of fullscreen users.

As well, I'm highly anticipating ~007TINAR's newest addition to his INVI windowsblind series, and have (in dedication to his talent) included a "Blue" version to match his release.

Love the wallpaper, vomit on the RD skin. But... I'm still new at them. The RD skin was based off of a deviantART one I'd seen around here somewhere.

Initially this Vitae set was created for my own personal use, as I wanted something simple to accompany ~yingjunjiu's Windowsblinds suite Xaphire. At the time, I had created a Black version as well----but I personally didn't care for it, so I didn't post it thinking that you wouldn't care for it either. However, ~007TINAR recently released his INVI 3V skin... and being I'm a huge fan of ~007TINAR's work, I decided to rework my Vitae Black into this edition to match his skin.

At the request of ~smoovie, this design was made specifically for his Windowsblinds skin Revolver. It was the first one I did [the purple], but in the end we wound up passing on this one due to how dark it was overall. Thusly, I've renamed, recolored, and repacked this for your desktop pleasure.
