It's October and the sacred 31 days of Halloween are upon us-time to get your gore on! The chill is in the air, the leaves are on the ground, and Halloween candy has been out since Labor Day. So while you’re waiting in the Starbucks line for an overpriced double pumpkin spice whatever, pass the time with this year’s scary movies reviews!

This is the first working version that actually works, it has no GUI whatsoever and it's experimental...
So if you want to try this out unzip the zip and put the Icons folder in C:\Windows\Resources.
Then Run Iconcustomizer.exe and you're ready to go!
Now open a cmd prompt as admin and run the following command:
After that you can install the included elementary(mod) theme with the following command:
To restore the default icons run the following command:
You can also create your own icon theme by making a new folder in C:\Windows\Resources\Icons, Make sure the folder name has no spaces in it.
After that you can copy your icon files inside the folder and apply your icons with:
Your icon pack does not need to include all icons you can also include just even one or two icons.
The program does not

I usually don't use dA journal to write about anything other than update on what I'm working on, but I have some important issues to address. As the Windows theming committee grows, it has been becoming harder and harder to control thief. As a result, I find myself constantly battling against thieves who shamefully steals my skin. What's even worse is that people are monetizing them for money through ad links or putting in dangerous adware through installation packs (aka skinpacks). Here is my theme, Acid, being used without my consent: http://techdhruv.com/fusion-skin-pack-for-windows-788-1/. It was posted by the deviant thedhruv. Like most skinpacks, the installer for this has adware and toolbars that the average user would not know how to avoid. The average skinpack from this person doesn't even give proper credit to where he has gotten

For years, we've been getting requests from the community asking for the ability to change usernames. We realize that as an artist, it's important to give you the ability to change your personal brand, just as you change your interests, skills, and art types.
How It Works
Deviants can now change their username in their Settings. To change your username, you must have an active Premium Membership. (The reason there is a "fee" associated with the change is because switching usernames is a complex technical proce

It's a pretty straightforward CSS, with one special feature, which is the Youtube video that's at the top of every journal. At the moment of writing this journal, it's still a Subscriber-only feature. But if you're still interested in downloading the CSS and using it, here's how you'd edit the video that's shown:

A reminder to myself.. Lightdm resolutionWrong Login Screen ResolutionA reminder to myself.. Lightdm resolution2 years ago in Personal More Like This
1.Firstly we need to find out what your monitors identifier is. Open up a terminal, start typing "terminal" in your unity dash to see the option or press ctrl+alt+t
2.Type/copy this command to show your display details:
If you only have one monitor you will see a line in the output like the following ( probably with some different values, its the identifier at the start we are after):
default connected 1280x1024+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 473mm x 296mm
The screen identifier is default in this case.
3.Open up the lightdm conf file:
sudo gedit /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
4.just add to file /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf a line like this:
display-setup-script=xrandr --output default --mode 1280x1024
Save and reboot.

New Policy on CommentsI hate doing this but no longer will I tolerate comments that objectify those I work w/. Or comments that do not respect the models. Doing so will earn you an immediate ban from my account. No warning, nothing.New Policy on Comments3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Not cool examples, "What is she a C-cup, maybe a D-cup? Did you ever get to feel them?" or "She should keep her shirt off. She looks cute."
Many of my models become trusted colleagues, some practically extensions of my own family. What you wish to do w/ those I work w/ is, quite frankly, information I don't need or want to know.
Act like an adult & I'll treat you like an adult. Act like a hormonal, adolescent who's unable to control yourself, you forfeit your right to free speech on my account. Don't like it, to bad.

this guy (http://phoshpor.deviantart.com/) made alterations to an image of mine and then subbed it to dA. he gave me credit for the original image in the notes. my image use policy (which is clearly stated on my dA profile page) asks that everyone notify me before using my images in any projects. because this guy gave me credit on the original submission, i assumed that he may have just missed seeing the policy on my page so i sent him a note asking that he request permission for any future use of images. didn't ask him to take off the submission. his response? yank the submission off and call me a "nitpicker" and "unfriendly". then he blocked me from sending him messages.
really dude? GET A GRIP. for a guy who calls himself a "professional" on his dA profile, he certainly acted like an ass. is it so hard to reply with a basic "OK"? apparently it
If you use Firefox in KDE, check this outKDE makes a mess out of Firefox's address bar, mainly because half of it uses the Gnome icon theme, and the other the Oxygen Icon theme. You can fix that crap with FXChrome. First off it gives Firefox Chrome like tabs, which can be a good or a bad thing, depending on which look you like better, but it can't be denied that it makes the address bar look much, much better. The images speak for themselves (and click them please, imgur's thumbnails are very low quality)...If you use Firefox in KDE, check this out2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Can't come up with a title so I'll just say derp.Compiz is dead. Metacity is going to die. Canonical has to find a replacement WM for Unity or shove up the development of compiz to someone else. Wayland may replace X11 (and I hope it will be good once it do.) Shit happens as usual. (Even good shit.)Can't come up with a title so I'll just say derp.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I'm thinking about abandoning Metacity support for my themes too. My next theme that I've started working on is not going to have a Metacity theme as I see no point in supporting it when I'm not using it and when it's going to be abandoned. A quote from the musical artist Pogo: "I don't make art for you, I make art for myself." In the end I just get tired of trying to fix things for stuff that I'm not using. One reason why I scrapped Zukitwo-Dark. May not be a great excuse, but lack of standards makes certain things annoying to deal with. But sometimes I also want to fix bugs for things that I don't use, because it
How to run two different Wbars at the Same TimeThis is a little tip on how to run two different instances of wbar simultaneously.* In this case one is horizontal on the bottom center of the screen and the other one is vertical on the left side of the screen. How to run two different Wbars at the Same Time2 years ago in Personal More Like This
1. Set up your two configuration files and save them in your ~/ directory.
2. If not already there, create a folder in your home directory called "scripts".
3. Create a document to hold an executable script in the "scripts" directory named "StartWbars.sh" (or something similar).
4. Copy and paste the following code into the document (StartWbars.sh) and save it.
wbar -config ./Horizontal.wbar -bpress -above-desk -balfa 50 nanim 5.0 -pos bottom -idist 8 -isize 32.0 -zoomf 1.1 &
wbar -config ./Vertical.wbar2 -vbar -bpress -above-desk -balfa 60 nanim 5.0 -pos left -idist 8 -isize 32.0 -zoomf 1.1 &
5. Make it executable (chmod +x file, or in most modern Linux distros you can "right click" on the file and choose the option to make it executable).

On another note I've seen my theme Zukitwo being included and modified for several GNU/Linux distributions.
- Lubuntu uses a slightly modified version of it.
- Linux Mint is working on Mint-Z which is based on it.
- PinguyOS uses it.
This is what my view of open sourcing is all about. Share, modify, distribute.
This means better feedback for bug fixes as it now gets a larger user base. Some bugs are a pain to fix because of badly programmed applications that requires workarounds. Launchpad is great as I can subscribe to bugs and see if there are any patches available for bugs that I don't know how to fix. A PPA for Zukitwo and some of my other themes may be up once I've figured out how to update my uploads there without having to remove, repackage and re-upload etc. (There's one up now but the current upload is outdated.) I'm thinking about going for quality instead of quantity n
