More Like This
Beneath the shadowed guilt and shame,
Shall come a call of reckless kind,
A bane that wields my broken name.
A life to give, a debt to pay,
No second chance to make amends-
Not e'en to see the girl called Kaye,
Who dares to hope for Hades' end.
Not all is lost, nor is all tak'n-
But fear does not let off so free.
When mind is gone, and will is shak'n,
What purpose is there left to see?
When Death comes knocking at the door,
The sky to weep and waves to wail,
My sun and beacon are no more
To light the way of desprate tale.
Oh sing, ye nereids of the Sea!
Your voice, the song of spirit torn-
For yet may live the captives key,
And yet will rise the serpents thorn.
