Wiwere in color... well not much to say, mainly tried to test how thin I can get that line on there done... via illustrator again. Other than that...bleh, feelin' cold, probably move this back to scraps later as well, just not really happy with the outcome
Heh.. I would've never believed that I will ever have a Wolf Character myself ... anyways.
I've been asked if I have more artworks or informations, whatever about my character Wiwere... and there is, to be honest, I rather drew him a lot lately, cause I like his look, his design, etc. it's just fun to draw him, I think it's because he combines a lot of stuff I like to draw, anthro, digigrade legs, fur, pointed ears, metall, weapons.. etc.
and as you see.. another snow themed image, and that with the fact behing that I have ENOUG OF THE COLD, it hasn't get over -5°C the last weeks and it's enough ice, enough wind, enough snow.. Brrrrrrrr *jitterz* I want some beach and sunny 30°C now!
Wiwere is (c) me
Transformers stuff (just to have that mentioned) is (c) Hasbro
Some gift arts for featuring her Transformer Character Shatterhowl *yayeez*, planned to adopt her character earlier over at TFmech-exchange on LJ... excuse my lameness ....
Lotsa effect stuff going on here again, I do love to do digital weather! .. yeah! This was pure joy to create!
Well what ta say...
Didn't want to submit this really, as the title says it's supposed to be the cover of my upcoming 2007er Sketchbook which's theme and name is "Truly Yours" And I normally keep my sketchbook covers secret until I print them out (and I don't think it's that nice overall...), anyways, painted this in the last 4 hours, roughly can be less or more since I did quite a lot besides. The book will be puplished in let's say October or later, since I am still collecting sketches and it supposed to show the full 2007 range and we have "only" August now. (since some asked a little preview of the cover on a template: [link] ) also can't tell how many pages it will have, but it won't be A4, it will be much smaller something around 12-15 cm hight, standard booklet size.
So back to the pic, the initial thought behind comes from really close friends, and one of the most beloved objects I ever owned XD (guess what) As for the Transformers Theme, I am not into this stuff lately and never really was (I just like the thought of cars with personality... LOTS), except sketches this will be one of the last pieces of that type, (why telling that? Because people tend to ask me if I am going to be a official geek now and will only be drawing this theme from now one... and that really annoys me, why can't artists just draw what they are up to in the moment??? .. People call me a Freak anyways XD)
Well so this is Chrome (the metallic gryphon spirit which is actuallly on the vinyl decal as well as you can recognise on his tail) and SilverSide, and because people were asking as well, shots of my "real" car with the "real" vinyl! : [link]
also the only reference I had...
and those who are interested in painting techniques, I made a flash of the painting steps, which can be viewed here: [link]
well, all in all based on a very rough sketch and completed in Photoshop... well was fun XD and a very good training...
... well after some of my friends decided that I do "awesome-style-fiting".. they know how to tease me... designs for OCs ... I ended up doing characters we came up with in our little round of freaks besides commissions, which are rather done, just to have that mentioned, so I dare to say I would have a spot or two open for some TF:A character things.. ya know...
Anyways, back on topic, so here is Transformers Animated version of Tygatu, who isn't supposed to be organic also not half-way organic, more like the Dinobots, a robotic "imitation" of something organic, or how you could call that. The most interesting thing with this character is his "seismological" weapon... I can has a Earthquake Generator pleeez? That really caught my attention. Not too fond of his colors though, but he had to fit into a cold snowy area and since I didn't want another blue character, this is the mix I ended up with. No insignia cause... well, he is supposed to be the evil type, but I am seriously not sure if he would count as Decepticon... (concerning the TF:A universe)
Mew... this took quite a while (around 2 days... not working continous though...) Had to give Bumblebee a go, just because I love technical drawn shapes and as well, detail this is actually a sketch-over-paint, means I drew this traditionally before and painted over if digitally to give it a sharper look, for those who are curious how this works out here is a Making-of File: [link]
It's not the exact movie-look of him, if you look in detail, the whole shape is more compact, feet are bigger and a few parts are changed as well, also the perspective maybe off on a few parts, but I really don't care in this stage XD just too tired
Actually plan to give him colors as well, though not sure when I will have time to do so.
Heh.. and again, you say well anyways, when I enjoy a character why not doing it more often?
The reason behind this is easy, it's supposed to be a t-shirt design, cleaned up and simplified, examples for the t-shirt can be viewed here: [link]
actually all the glowy parts have the color of the t-shirt.. I love that effect, looks rather nice!
Except that, had this laying around for a while as well, quite quick done in a unusual style for me, but anyways.. really enjoyed making him, I wonder if Sidey is even able to have a happy face.. hmm...
digital inking is fun, no matter what program you use, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Flash, OpenCanvas, Painter, MangaStudio.. just to tell a few...
This is some new, "really" new stuff, Character is a male wingless gryphon named Evgeny, asked over on LJ what fur color I should give him, I think I am going to stay with the suggestion of something "Tiger" like... Stripes are
as said, digital inking based on a sketch I drew, huge original size... coloring this in the moment
