Stolen (part 7)"Remind me why I agreed to this," Njord growled, watching as Lady Sif attached the last of Sigyn's baggage to her horse.Stolen (part 7)2 years ago in Romance More Like This
"You didn't," Frey reminded him cheerfully. "She never asked; she just came home, told you she was returning to Loki, and started packing."
"And you called that warrior woman to help her move because…?"
"Because, while Sigyn could acquire all the help she needs with little trouble, it would raise a few questions if she had a pack of dire wolves carrying her things back to the palace."
His father glared at him. "That's not what I meant."
Frey rolled his eyes. "If you can't figure out that answer, you must be getting senile. Now cheer up, Father. It's not as if she's going to another Realm. You can see her every day if you want to."
Njord glared. "And you want me to completely ignore the fact that she's returning to her murderous trickster of a husband?"
"You mean the murderous trickster who stopped his brother from killing the Light Elf sentries because

In the very beginning, the world was full of energy. From this energy sprung the gods. Almighty beings, they cultivated the world from a lifeless waste into a lush environment. When their work was done, they dubbed the world "Ceres". Next, they created life, the animals, and their children the mystic ones. For years, life was peaceful. However, curious creatures emerged. These creatures, which had evolved from simple apes, came to be called humans. The humans lived alongside the gods and the mystic ones, growing and developing. Soon relationships with many different species were fostered and the peace would seemingly last for an eternity.
As time passed however, greed replaced curiosity in many a human heart. They began to harvest energy from the mystic ones themselves. This continued until both sides escalated into a war.
The only known details of the war, were of bloody fighting and violence. Then, the war simply stopped. Who was the final victor? Nobody knows. Th

The sky was made for dreaming
naturally he thought of her
the wind danced playfully
across water serene
an ode to her laughter
in each ripple
lapping gently against
the shores of his heart
here beneath heavens blanket
so near yet so far
tucked in the hollows
of his anguish
the broken horizon
begs the question
is there grace
in your regret?

as leaves fall from trees
A small voice
in the cool autumn breeze
It tells of secrets
all from the past
It whispers them quietly
and whispers them fast
The trees turn colors
of orange, yellow, and red
but once winter comes
all the colors will be dead
and gone will be the secrets
for the time being
gone will be the autumn
colors that I like seeing

Of Nature's changing hues
Spreading colours of the rainbow
From oranges to blues
Sweet scents from spring to summer
Of winter and of fall
A sense of peace and longing
An echo to flora's call
The leaves and flowers swaying
In a soft and gentle breeze
A moment of sheerest wonder
For our memories to freeze
Let not a moment go to waste
A chance for eyes to see
What is there in front of us
A gift for you and me
Life is for the taking
To do with what we will
Knowing that it will go on
As we take in all our fill
To bask in golden sunshine
feel rain upon our face
To know that we are blessed
To share Gods earthly place
So protect all nature's bounty
And nurture with loving care
A place for generations
To flourish and to share

I counted the shades of green
in the land of my father's fathers
and set my watch back a hundred years.
I wrapped my tongue,
loosened by rich pints of warm Guinnesss,
around the Gaelic
and got punch drunk on the words of Yeats
Irish eyes and fiddle music.
I found the song of Erin
is a Pan reed boat
lost out on Galway Bay
where bards stitch their words
into fishing nets
and dream of old gods
under the moons of Connemara.

And you show me another way
You show me another way to think
You show me the site of myself previously forgotten
You show me how much you can see in the dark light
As my vision adjusts I can see more clearly than before
I close my eyes and visualize
A new world long lost in our rediscovered
You light candles in a symbol to the gods
My good deed has now come back three fold
With just us two I do not lack a third
Our palms just barely touch and I can feel your aura pure as day
The dark and light you shine so brightly
In your arms I know Im safe from all bad things
In your arms I trust my body mind and soul
In your arms I can feel the power of the altar you have made
In your arms I can listen to the melody the earth makes
In your arms the symphony of the moon is heard tenfold
In your arms I feel as part of the earth and moon united
When I leave the dark light you dwell in disappears and I am blinded by my own light
Soon I adjust
But in that split se

i dance on the cerulean waves
as they serenade me with the song

i dine over the violet vineyards of Italy,

"Oh no, we're all doomed" her enemies cried, when they saw her ship coming on the high tide--
The sails full of wind, the bow shining gold, The cannons run out and her flag flying bold
She'd stand at the bow with her hair flying free, and when lookouts saw her they turned tail to flee
Oh none spoke her name unless they wanted death! They just whispered "Diabla" under their breath!
From China to Britain, Hong Kong to Beirut, she struck terror to sailors on the briny blue
But legend would have it, one unfortunate day she found herself caught in a dangerous bay
With ships at her back and a storm in the sky, for once in her life she thought she might die.
The cannons rang out with a land-splitting roar! Her ship was surrounded

"Where are we going, Maddie?" the boy asked, tripping on another clod of dirt and looking out dubiously over the endless expanse of rows and rows of the knee-high green soybean plants that they were tramping through.
"How many times are you going to ask me that?" she jibed, "I told you, Jonny, you'll know when we get there!"
The laughter in her voice made him feel like he had said something right, even if she wasn't telling him what he wanted to know, and he felt a warm glow inside from that, not just from the heat of the warm summer afternoon. She always did that to him. She didn't talk to him with disinterest or irritation the way everyone else seemed to, even his folks and his sister, and she didn't treat him like a child. Lia sometimes joked with him like this, when she wasn't in one of her moods, but lately he couldn't tell from one minute to the next how his sister was going talk to him, and s
Legends of Calvernia: Dragons Perched on a ledge in the mountains, the beast looked down through the clouds at the land below. The dragons talons cut deep grooves into the rock, scales of amethyst shining in the sun. It was a dumb beast, controlled by instinct, thoughts only for its primitive needs. All it felt was the heat in its blood and the hunger in its belly.Legends of Calvernia: Dragons7 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
It heaved itself into the sky, catching the air in its wings and propelling into flight. Slowly dropping down through the clouds, its eager eyes scanned the ground in search of a feast. The sound of its beating wings must have scared all the animals away, as the land seemed void of all life. No, wait. There was movement. A scrawny looking thing that walked on two legs, but a meal was a meal.
A loud roar rolled from its mouth as it swooped down, plucking the creature from the ground as easily as a child pick up a toy. The human struggled uselessly against the might of the dragons
