No, this is not a photomanipulation, or the results of a dimensional warp or transporter accident… This is a digital photograph of a rather confused morning glory.
The Story: As far as I can tell, what happened is that a bug ate a hole in the leaf, then during the night, when the flowers are closed, one poked through the hole in the leaf. In the morning, it tried to open, and this was the result.
One should never fear to be different. Everything is different, one way, or another. We all have to try to bloom, the best we can.
I would love to help in anyway I can, which I have done through donations. But there is a different way to help that is more important then any other way. yes, money and time from others goes to help in the physical state, but with the love you give with those gifts, with your prayers, and by offering hope, those are the things that will last.
I thought I'd try thoughtART, deviantART's new drawing platform. At first I just stared at the canvas. I didn't understand what to do, and my head was aching with the stress of too much anxiety and an unexpected life transition. Then heavy clouds started appearing on the canvas. I was trying to figure out if this was some manifestation of the state of my mind, when a dark figure began to appear on the canvas. For the past few weeks, it has always felt like there has been something looming over my shoulder, shrouding my life in gloom. thoughtART somehow detected it. Now I know what I am facing.

This is my photography entry for 's 'Not For Sale' Human-Trafficking Awareness project: [link] (I added the text to the photo in PaintShop Pro, as I was told I was allowed to.)
Nobody really knows exactly how many people are sold into slavery each year, but there are estimated to be nearly 30 million people trapped in some kind of slavery today. The Atlantic slave trade, which kidnapped and enslaved Africans between the 1500s and 1800s, brought less than 15 million to the New World, total.

Major UpdateMay 20, 2008: Finally I was able to prepare this as print! Originally the work was done in size 500 x 500 pixels so I really had to recreate the whole picture. But now it is done and I even made a lovely wallpaper from it after popular request.
