They say I'll 'understand', as if at the moment the concepts of lust and desire are beyond my childish brain; as if I do not realize what lingering gaze might bring two (or more? hah!) together, what kinship might make hearts race and passions flame. Is this such a complicated phenomenon, the act of falling in and out of love, in and out of bed (in and out of each other)?
If this is what they think of my decision (or destiny, fate, proclivity, orientation?) then they've misjudged by far. They must not realize we all take ninth grade health, sit through the awkward week of embarrassing diagrams and snickered innuendos. They must
Writing Tutorial - DialogueWhile some authors may talk about how their writing is all talent and a gift from The Powers That Be, the truth is anyone can do a great deal to improve their writing. One effective way is through working on your dialogue.Writing Tutorial - Dialogue6 years ago in Editorial More Like This
Fan fiction can be particularly bad about this, but God-awful dialogue can be found just about anywhere, from popular books to comics to television. Bad dialogue often happens when people lose sight of reality and get hung up in the information or message theyre trying to get their character to communicate. Good dialogue is a natural reflection of the characters and the world, is easy on the ears/eyes and moves the plot forward in one way or another.
Tips for Improving Your Dialogue:
Yep, just listen. Next time youre on a bus or waiting at a restaurant, take a moment and listen to the conversations around you. Listen to the rhythm, the accents, the grammar people use in daily life. Good dialogue sounds natural. Bad dialog do

Miranda panted hard. This was much, much harder than either she or Chlora would ever have imagined. Dialga was tough, very tough. Going down into a runner's crouch to steady herself, the human-turned-Charmander checked their supplies. It wasn't bad, but not good either. They had enough Reviver seeds to withstand a few more attacks, but if Dialga kept using Roar of Time, they were done for sure.
"You okay?" Chlora's voice was concerned. Turning her head, Miranda nodded to the Chickorita. Her partner, like Miranda herself, was already pretty badly off from the damage they had both sustained. Their usual tactic of using Miranda's Smokescreen to shield themselves from possible damage had been thwarted by some IQ Skill or another Dialga possesed, throwing off their entire strategy. Their new one was much simpler: try to outsurvive the legendary.
"Ready?" she asked, bracing herself for another onslaught of attacks - both dealt and recieved.
"Whenever you are!" Chlora replied, lift

The sun began to rise, revealing a small town placed at the edge of a forest near the sea. The salty water reflected the sunlight, causing it to sparkle brightly. Pokemon started wandering through the town, going about their usual day-to-day activities.
A purple feline with a red jewel on her forehead stepped out of a Pikachu head-shaped hut, stretching and yawning. Walking through the town square, she stopped near the edge of the ocean and smiled.
/Hey there! Todays a nice day, isnt it? Kind of reminds me of that day so long ago when I first met Carlos. Oh! You must be wondering who I am. Sorry for being so rude. My name is Sandra./
A Blastoise came to shore and Sandra hopped onto its shell. The turtle Pokemon started swimming out to open sea. Sandra stood up tall, her violet eyes shimmering with joy.

Ugeh! I flew up off the crumbling ground. The ground broke apart as the fissure tore through it. It took a few minutes for the earthquake to finally stop. That was a big one, I muttered to myself as I landed back on the ground and peered into the fissure. It was pretty deep. Id have thought it was at least 100 meters to the bottom. And it cut right through Tiny Woods.
Then, I heard a woman shouting. Somebody! she cried. Please! Help me! I glanced through the trees to see Butterfree speeding by. When she came to a stop, I heard another voice ask what was wrong. She frantically responded with, Its horrible! My Caterpie fell into a cavern! My poor baby!

~ Prologue: Grovyle's Lament ~
If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be here now, standing in a world most Pokémon of our time never knew existed, a world they had cruelly been robbed of and never realized. I never would have seen the glory of a pastel-colored sunrise, or stepped into the heart of a forest overgrown with lush, vibrant wildflowers the size of my head, a sight that would leave even Dusknoir breathless with awe.
If it weren't for her, I would be just another wild Pokémon sentenced to life in a dead world. Soulless and bereft of purpose, my existence would revolve around survival and self-preservation. I never would have learned what love and compassion were, never would have believed that concepts such as friendship and family truly existed. I would have lived and died alone, as so many others of our time have, never knowing the good of life.
The memory of how it happened still haunts me. I'd already failed her once and nearly lost her in the process; I'd sworn I ne

Whats the matter? Keahi asked.
I was playing with my friend, Metapod But Metapod got lost in the woods Hes still lost out there
I smirked. This was the perfect opportunity to show them up. A little healthy competition would have done us good. Oh, I see, I see! That does sound bad! Kekeke!

An Essay by E. Grimes
Devotees of the Sherlock Holmes canon are well aware that The Great Detectives
many adventures abound with his eccentric personality traits. While they may have been exasperating to Dr. Watson and especially Mrs. Hudson, they have fascinated and intrigued his readers for decades. Yet one of the most noted---and most disputed--- of The Great Detective's idiosyncrasies is his attitude toward the opposite sex.
" he (Holmes) had a remarkable gentleness and courtesy in his dealings with women," observed Dr. Watson in The Adventure of the Dying Detective. He further added that Holmes "disliked and distrusted the sex, but he was always a chivalrous opponent." It was indeed true that in spite of his dislike (though not hatred) of women, his behavior toward them was always kind and courteous.
Women had few rights during the Victorian era; yet the stric

It matters not. Even Ghost types contain psychic energy. And from you, that is what well need.
Fine. Just show me how, then!

The Cursed One_Part 5 Another week or so later, the town awoke to another huge earthquake, and I went back to the square for the hundredth time to see if I could get word on the missions progress. And when I arrived I couldnt help but feel so relieved and so joyful. That team had come back, alright. But they looked completely wiped out! And Team A.C.T. was still nowhere to be seen! After listening in, it appeared that the new team couldnt even make it to Groudon. The dungeon itself was much too tough for them to overcome. Even Golem was afraid to go back to a place like that! This was all too perfect! Breaking their spirit would have been much too easy at this point! And then, Alakazams team would have been no more! The Cursed One_Part 3 Over the next two days, everyone in town was told the Ninetales Legend. About how a selfish human touched one of Ninetales tails, about how Ninetales went to lay a curse on the human, about how his Gardevoir partner took the curse in his place, about how the cowardly human ran off to save his own life before he was asked if he wanted to save Gardevoir, and most importantly about how Ninetales predicted that that human was going to be reborn as a Pokémon, causing the worlds balance to be upset. The time was right. All I had to do was reveal the secret and expose Sanura. There would be no way she could defend herself on this one. The evidence was too against her. Tausha was with Neji and Naruto at Suna's training arena, she looked up into the sky and squinted at the sun. "Great, you guys are making me train during the hottest part of the day, I hope you brought plenty of water."
Naruto scratched the back of his head and grinned, "Actually I forgot all about the water."
Neji frowned a little annoyed, "Good thing I brought us some."
Naruto laughed, "Well you are the genius!"
Tausha looked at the ground, "Sorry guys but I don't think I should be training with you, not right now anyways."
Naruto looked shocked and angry, "What do you mean!? You have to train to get stronger! That's how you win!"
Tausha forced herself to smile but kept her gaze low, "I know, but right now the only thing on my mind is getting Danya back, I can't train knowing that she's with Orochimaru." fit for the wealthiest queen,
the plush chair to which you've been tied
purposed to offer the illusion of comfort.
But the drapes are shut, the candles snuffed.
There is nothing but darkness and solitude,

You don't want to,

holding you firmly in place
by the power of the pen
that scrawls across the paper,
painting words with neat, black letters
that pin you down
like a second layer of shackles.

that your knight in shining armor is on his way,
galloping astride a glistening white horse,
crossing the vast reaches of the kingdom
just to find you, just to save you.
He will swim through moats and scale walls,
cut down anything that stands in his path,
and slay your captor in your honor.

Several days passed since Nidoking had given her the book with the strange writing, but Leah never came any closer to cracking the code. The eyes in the letter continued to distract her, and after a while, they grew so bright that they gave her headaches. By now, she had almost given up.
But she still sat beneath a torch in the bed chamber she shared with Nora, leafing through the book. As annoying as the letters were, the pictures more than made up for them. She stared at each one in turn for long minutes, drinking in the vibrant colors and imagining the dark world around her alive like these paintings.
The page she was looking at now was different than anything she had seen before. It was divided into two pictures. The one on top featured a sky that was a pool of cool and pastel colors, while the sky in the bottom painting was awash with melting warms. She recognized the large orb that her mother and father called the sun, which they said was once

You came back, because you're my brother
You're hurt now, but the fight made you tougher
I know you're bleeding and you're tired
But this was the sacrifice that was required
And I was worried, and you know I admire you
But I am sure you don't even have a clue
How much it pains me to see you go
Not knowing who could be your foe
A warm embrace, a smile and praising words
It's all I give when you show me the shards
Of your broken sword that cut the enemy
But it's all gone now; it's all a memory
Lay down my brother, lay down and rest
For thee, this was just your first test
I'll mend your wounds and ease you pain
Now close your eyes and hear the rain

He had no idea it was Danya. But, he knew that if she belonged to that clan. As he turned the corner to the house, he stopped and saw Danya standing in front of it...staring.
From where he was standing from, he could tell something was wrong with her, her stance was off balance. Why is she staring at the house with regret?
Danya came by Tausha's house early to talk to her. But when she was in front of the door, and ready to knock her fist froze, she stepped away from it before long and started to star at it for a long time. Dear Michael Bryant,
I've got an idea. Instead of outlawing 'pitbulls' in Ontario, why not enact a law banning ignorance? Granted, you'd have to move but here in Alberta we accept all kinds of questionable intelligence in our leaders.
You called pitbulls as a breed 'inherently dangerous'. Mr Bryant, any dog can be inherently dangerous if it is not brought up or treated properly. I interact with dogs everyday at my job and have so far been bitten by two Shih Tzus and a German Sheperd puppy who was a little too eager to receive his goodie from my fingers. Staffordshire Terriers and American Staffordshires were bred by people to fight other dogs for our entertainment. People started the problem behavior in these dogs and competant breeders since then have focussed on dispelling it, while retaining the breeds' courage and appearance.
More than a hundred years of history has passed since the laws c
