This was an assignment I had to do for a VCT class. Please not that it's an Introduction in Interactive Media and I'm only in the stages of learning how to use it and learn different navigation methods. haha. This was the first one I done. This assignment was to create a learning tutorial of a certain subject. so enjoy...
I made this tutorial on using the pen tool to make a logo. =misskittyoooo mentioned me making a tutorial over on the GK Forums and I couldn't resist but to make one for her. I used thier logo as my example because I had vectorized it for them before. Hopefully this helps in some way. Looking back at it, I see a bunch of stuff I wish I had put in there. v_v Oh well. Maybe I will get to it sometime.
I HAD PERMISSION FROM THE GALS AT GURUKITTY.COM TO USE THEIR LOGO AS MY EXAMPLE.
Time: 3 hours
Programs: Grab, Illustrator, and Flash
My friend showed me a trial for an animation program called 'Toon Boom' and I totally loved it - I couldn't resist making somethin'! And what else to animate but the Robot Devil... ?
Gah. I was lazy on this so it's all sketchy and crap. 8P It was actually really fun, tho' when I got into it~ The final thing's actually only 6-7 seconds long, but I tried to make it somewhat detailed. >>;
The song used is just the instrumental beginning of 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia'. Perfect, eh? x)
Oh yeah, I should explain a little: the reason Fry can play the holophoner is 'cause he's got Bender hands somehow - that's why Bender's all sad in the midst of their battle-ness. D:
So, er... enjoy ?
'The Devil Went Down to Georgia" -> Charlie Daniels Robot Devil, Fry, and Bender -> Matt Groening
I found a special plugin online which I can use it in Flash, that is called Waving Flag come from flash-filters.net, but unfortunately, unlike the online demo which uses ActionScript 3, the plugin I used is an AS2 version, so the waving effect is limited.
Anyway, here's the Equestria banner. BUT, can anybody help me to pick a different background instead? I'm now using Google images. In this case, the land of Equestria will do, with mountains and Canterlot castle in the background. What do you think? I'm open for suggestions. And do link me any good images which anyone we can use as long as credit is permitted.
EDIT : Finally got a major update and hopefully final version. I recall of saving this image. I use this, [link] .
It took me a long time to complete this. It was hard work, so I hope you appreciate it. It is "The Simpson's in - Harry Potter books 1-5". I finished making it at least a month or two before this submission, however I never got around to submitting it, considering it was made for a different reason.
I dislike the scene where Sirius is hanging Snape upside down, mainly because I could not think of anything for him to say, and so what he does say is pretty horribly worded.
other than that it might be worth noticing that although the movie is very accurate, down to the point of Dumbledore not looking directly at Harry in book five. in the true simpsons tradition though it also contains some satirical elements of my own creation, for instance Hagrid being a midget (could not resist doing that), and the first year students crossing the lake in a motor boat. enough chitchat, Enjoy
Favorites are appreciated, and if you like it, tell your friends about it.
I was bored during the holidays, especially with no internet so I animated this. It's very short, I didn't record much audio. The sound is directly recorded from an episode of the Simpsons I was watching ("30 minutes over Tokyo" I believe or "the one where they go to Japan.") Took me maybe a 1 or 2 hours to complete it in total. I'm happy with it.
WARNING: Not being epileptic myself I have no idea whether anything in the animation can cause seizures but I did make some crazy backgrounds. Sorry, for any inconvience or involuntary convulsing.
I apologies for not having any way to replay the movie without refreshing or something like that. I'll try and get around to putting one in later.
Bart Simpson, The Simpsons and all the sound in this animation are copyrighted to Matt Groening and Fox studios.
