your hate pours from my wrist in crimson tears
and from my eyes in bitter streams
with the water running no one hears
the sound of my pained screams
the twinkle in my eye has faded away
as has my joy in life
the abuse I receive day after day
cuts deeper than the blade of my knife
emotional scars have led to physical ones
and both are tearing me apart
through my veins depression runs
coming from this hole in my heart
it broadens with every cry of pain
never does it seal
remembering one last fact in disdain
emotional scars never heal…
