Trixie found the days passed by quickly and peacefully from there. She began to develop a routine. By the time she awoke Fluttershy was making breakfast, typically oatmeal, a warm and filing meal that started the day right. Trixie would take her mornings easy, still recuperating. She had gotten her books back from Twilight, and would review them, often in the garden if the weather held. She would then usually accompany Fluttershy into town in the afternoon, having lunch with her or just taking the chance to stretch her legs. She began to fill out little by little, her coat gleamed once more, and she regained her former energy. Only one thing stood between her and true health. That was why, nearly a week since her first visit, Trixie found herself in the Ponyville library again, Twilight Sparkle staring at her.
"Absolutely no magic?"
"None at all." Trixie shook her head. Twilight frowned.
"What happens if you try?"
Trixie shuddered. "Nausea. Trixie would rather leave it at tha

Trixie made her way down the stairs unsteadily the next morning, feeling rested but hungry. She realized as she walked down that she was being watched. Looking around, she found a white rabbit standing on a small end table, glaring at her. It made her feel unwelcome, but Trixie just glared back at it.
"Do not mess with Trixie, rabbit, or she may make you part of her next routine."
The rabbit did not look amused. A noise distracted her, and Trixie looked up to realize the birdhouses hanging from the ceiling were occupied, small sparrows talking to one another from their houses.
"What kind of house is this?" Trixie just stared on. Another bird emerged from a larger house. It was a robin that began to whistle a tune. To Trixie's surprise, a silky voice sang back, wordlessly, in perfect key.
"Good morning- oh, Trixie!" Fluttershy entered the room from the kitchen. Trixie realized she had a light blush on her face and immediately scolded herself. Why was she blushing?

Species: Evolved Anomalocaris
Height: 26 meters
Length: 70 meters
Mass: 40,200 tons
Wingspan: 40 meters
Spear jaws- The arm like weapons of Carrapods ancestors have only become deadlier over time, creating these claws of destruction. These arms are highly flexible and are nearly as useful as the human hand. They have quite a range for a hand-to-hand weapon, shooting out almost a full seven meters out from the creatures head. The spears themselves can hit six times per second, stabbing at lightning speed with enough force to drill through most armored shells.
Evolved lungs- Carrapod has lungs and is able to breath out of water or in it with no ill side affect.
Steam Vents- Like many swimming animals, Carrapod has a swim bladder, which is filled with water taken from the ocean as all times. But the muscles around the bladder heat up to extreme temperatures. At the top of the bladder there are release valves, these make sure to keep the

Blunt Nose- Lowering her head to bring her rather strange weapon to bare, the raised flat horn like plate that extends from the base of Neith's beak to her forehead. There are several groves that run horizontally on this surface, these provide a grip for when Neith tosses her head up. In this manner she can grapple and toss without ever needing hands, which frees them up for digging into the ground to add more traction. While Neith's skull is heavily armored like her species' cousins, this sub-species takes it to another degree so that Neith and her kind can headbut against solid titanium without feeling a thing as the metal shatters.
Acid Breath- Being a cave dwelling species who specializes in digger, Neith's species branched off from their Crypt Dragon cousins by developing the caustic bile in their fire bladders into a powerful acid. Thoug

Alignment: Classified as Neutral/Rogue
Height: 43 meters
Length: 46 meters
Mass: 43,000 tons
Ice Pick- The right claw of this monster has the shape that resembled a pick-axe, the back of it has some weight which leads a flat end with a sharp point. The claw can still open to pick things up as most crab claws do, but that is rather a secondary function. Cryavoss' pick-claw is made for chipping and cutting through giant packs of ice, though she can easily turn it on an unsuspecting kaiju for horrendous affects. The crab is very fond of digging her pick into the edges of a kaiju's armor and wrenching them from the creature's body to leave it helpless and in mind boggling pain. Though even if she can't dig into the soft flesh, her pick still works quite well against most forms of armor, some of the heavier stuff will be cut through with the help of her hammer like claw.

Closes in, the skies open up
And weep for all that has been lost,
For in the emptiness I seek you still.
Years have passed as Ive drifted onward,
Heart open and bleeding as I scream
Your name, praying to all that is divine
That after all this time you will hear me.
With all that I am, I hope for just
One chance, a single moment to say
Goodbye to what was never mine
To keep the innocence of love.
In the dark of the moon I pretend
That you are with me still, looking
Over my shoulder as I try in vain
To recall how it felt to hold you close.
But no matter how I hope to see you
Once again, you are forever
Beyond my reach, lost in the ashes
Of these fading memories.
Come back to me for a single night
So I can remember how it feels
To be loved, needed by someone
In this vast and empty universe.
Tear out my soul one more time, and
Offer what little remains to this
Endless, agonized oblivion
Just to feel again for a moment.
I see your shadow everywher

“The ‘B’ he explained, “marks proof of Baradagi. We might put something else on the tapes if more patterns pop up that we notice.”

The LatecomerAlynthiath hated the cold. The Latecomer5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
No. That was an exaggeration. Alynthiath did not hate anything about the surface. Nor did she love anything about the surface. Hate and love were two forms of attachment, and she did not care enough for the surface to attach herself to it in any way, even if her duty to the Colony forced her to spend her time here. At best, the surface was not intolerable; at worst, it was an irritant.
The cold on the surface irritated her.
Underwater, cold meant depth, darkness, pressure, danger, secrets. The ocean was the source of all life, and to be alone in its inky, silt-shrouded deeps was a humbling experience. As a hatchling, Alynthiath had heard stories of pilgrims who had left the Colony in search of the Heart of the Ocean. None had ever returned. Back then, she had felt sorry for them. Now that she was older, she understood. Better to die in the hunt, embraced by the black folds of the sea, than dwindle away to wrinkles and bones.
She thought of that now, as t
Grorn Contest Entry: PollaAppearance: Polla's over all build is similar to the now extinct family of dinosaurs who are called sauropods. Having a long neck and tail with a large body supported by four pillar like legs, it is easy to see why the comparison is made. The massive parrot's head is very rounded, sitting on top of a long neck that stretches out across the ground in front of her. She has a large beak which takes up much of her head, rounded at the sides it leads to a bulky shear like tip, used for cropping off trees close to the ground. On the sides of her head, positioned just close enough to give her binocular vision, are the bird's eyes. They were a small and round, having a deep almond brown color which seems to just give off a soothing aura to all who look into them. Further back on the birds head are a set of four head-crests, they resemble those of a cockatoo, laying down flat against her skull until Polla becomes threatened or excited. When the Sea Rises-Prologue IPrologueWhen the Sea Rises-Prologue I8 years ago in Spiritual & Occult More Like This
In the beginning, as we are taught, there was nothing in the universe but emptiness. In this static there was not shape, nor was there motion. Because there was not force, nothing could be done. Then, force was born out of an explosion, hand in hand with shape. In this motion, darkness was banished to the edge of existence. Still yet, existence was no more than an egg-like thing which was only full of a churning substance.
To oversee this egg of life, three deities were born; Ame no Minakanushi, Takami Musubi, and Kami Musubi. However, unable to sustain their forms they too settled at the edge of existence, disappearing into obscurity.
Churning and churning, inside of the egg shape began to take hold and like a reed shoot, an object sprouted out of the egg and into the heavens. Born of this reed more Kami rose into existence. Even so they too hid their persons in the heavens ever falling into obscurity.
And so life continued to take shape and more Kami were born and hid, by th
