I’m writing this because I’m furious.
I’m writing this because I can’t take it anymore.
I thought this was a society of “You’re innocent until proven guilty.” But it seems that this has changed to “You’re guilty as long as there’s enough slander about you from random no name individuals.” Bill Cosby has been accused of rape by almost 20 women. Each one has a different story about how it happened…each one only came forward recently about it thanks to a comedy routine by black comedian who (like many black comedians) hates Bill Cosby for ‘telling the black community to pull up their pants’ (I’M NOT MAKING THAT UP! IT’S WHAT HE SAID) who mentioned a past rape allegation which was dismissed for lacking any proof, but also forgotten about quickly.
It’s like this: Let’s say a random person who literally just joined deviantART said “CLIFF IS A RAPIST!” Well you&

At age six, Jessi is the size of the average four year old. She's an excitable, vivacious little girl who only partially understands why she tires so much more quickly than her brother. She wears at least one article of purple clothing every day, and she loves the classic Disney movies. I'm pretty sure she could recite the entire script of The Little Mermaid. She also loves to read, which is handy, because she spends most of her time in bed. Cystic fibrosis causes problems with the way nutrients are absorbed, so Jessi had to be tube-fed twelve hours a day, or else she would starve. We do this w

In the beginning, as we are taught, there was nothing in the universe but emptiness. In this static there was not shape, nor was there motion. Because there was not force, nothing could be done. Then, force was born out of an explosion, hand in hand with shape. In this motion, darkness was banished to the edge of existence. Still yet, existence was no more than an egg-like thing which was only full of a churning substance.
To oversee this egg of life, three deities were born; Ame no Minakanushi, Takami Musubi, and Kami Musubi. However, unable to sustain their forms they too settled at the edge of existence, disappearing into obscurity.
Churning and churning, inside of the egg shape began to take hold and like a reed shoot, an object sprouted out of the egg and into the heavens. Born of this reed more Kami rose into existence. Even so they too hid their persons in the heavens ever falling into obscurity.
And so life continued to take shape and more Kami were born and hid, by th

About fifteen minutes had passed on Sammy's back since she'd gone off on her own and the group found themselves in deep water. The dinosaur had carried them far off into the Nychus territory, past the nest and into areas not mapped out yet. This was even farther than the hot springs were Vastrato took residence before she was recovered by the team. This was unfamiliar land
"It isn't that bad. Soon enough, the parents will come and get Sammy, us with her, and we'll be back before we know it." As usual, Marian was confident in her words. "It's a good chance to map more of the territory."
As they continued to talk, Sammy sniffed around the area. Most of the land here was composed of low growing shrubs, many bare and leafless. Some carried their leaves still and held strong similarities to cypress trees. Grey, mossy rock consisted for most of the valley floor. Little to no life was present.

Welcome to the Machine.I'm on a plane right now, watching the ominous line of The Wall through the window. It's a scar on the surface of the desert, too far away and too high to see over. The window is real, which makes this a spectacularly old plane, and I'm feeling stupid because I thought it was a viewer at first. My nerves are on edge and I'd like to take my mind off of what lies ahead. I unfold my notebook and start writing with flicks of my fingers and eyes. Optic/haptic interfaces are for grandparents and Luddites, I just haven't got around to getting an interface yet. The pilots have shut off all wireless and I desperately need something to do, so I start writing yet another journal entry about how I, and the rest of the world, got here. It's a stupid hobby of mine. And it might provide some blessed distraction.Welcome to the Machine.5 years ago in Profiles More Like This

Trixie groaned and stretched as she woke up. Her legs felt like lead. Opening her eyes revealed a familiar ceiling. It was the middle of the night, a half moon providing only just enough light to see by. Trixie wondered if she could go more than a week without passing out anytime soon. She glanced up as if to see her own forehead, and focused for a moment. Sure enough, a pale blue light emanated from her horn.
"Hah hah!" she shouted in excitement. A murmur caught her attention. She looked over and found Fluttershy asleep on her stool, just like a week ago. Trixie smiled and chuckled. She gazed on at Fluttershy for a moment, before a small part of her reminded her of her situation. Her smile turned into a deep frown. She forced herself out of bed on the far side from Fluttershy.
"I've taken enough from you." Trixie whispered. Her horn continued to glow as she enveloped Fluttershy in a magical aura. She gently lifted Fluttershy from her seat and pulled back the covers. She slid

This lets the legs and arms shoot out 40 meters from the body in just about any direction, making them great for defense as well as collecting specimens in hard to reach places.

Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper sat on the far rail fishing, laughter and gasps of amazement echoing across the deck at another of the sharpshooter's wild tales. Seated near the figurehead, Zoro stared out across the waves with a distant look on his face. A soft giggle drew Robin's gaze to the mikan grove, where she spotted Sanji and Nami seated together. The cook was grinning like an idiot as he spoke, hands gesturing animatedly in his excitement while Nami listened in amusement. If she noticed one of the blonde's arms slipping cautiously around her waist, she didn't let on.

She was Midna's mother. But Midna herself did not think that way.
She had her own mother; who had given birth to her, she had her own father; who influenced her.
But Daani took care and influenced her. She cared for her. She always did; always will.
Midna was her daughter. That was more logical, in a sense. Daani didn't really have anybody. Her parents died too soon, not too soon, but still too soon.
She only had children. She was their mother, like Midna was her daughter. Not biologically, but she took care of them. She influenced them. At least, she thinks so.
No, she was sure of it. They couldn't all lose touch of her. She was their mother. Their mother!

Walking down the busy street, Nami found herself relieved. There were far too many people for anyone to notice Luffy's signature straw hat. Looking carefully behind her, she felt herself smiling, watching as he followed close behind. His lips were pursed together, whistling some sort of tune Nami couldn't recognize. Scanning the shops lining the busy street, Nami stopped, causing Luffy to look at her in some confusion.
"We're here." she said simply, waving a hand at the store she had stopped in front of. Luffy looked over at the store, and his expression darkened a bit.
"Aww, do we really have to?" he whined, pouting like a child might when doing something undesirable. As she watched his facial expressions, Nami couldn't help but smile, grabbing his hand as she entered the store.
"Come on, Luffy. You want to impress Robin, right?" she asked, to which Luffy sighed in defeat, accepting the situation more readily.

Exiting the small restroom, Luffy's mouth opened in an involuntary yawn. Bringing his hand up to his lips to contain the sound, he crashed into the nearest wall.
"Ouch. What the heck is this wall doing here?" he asked to himself, rubbing his forehead loosely, suddenly brought out of his semi-sleep state. Sighing in something akin to defeat, the young pirate turned to make his way toward the boys' cabin, unsure of his footing in the small bits of moonlight.
Just as he turned in the right direction, a light, flowery voice came into his hearing. Turning his head in every direction, Luffy finally caught the direction the voice was coming from. Closing his eyes, he listened intently, and he realized that someone was singing. It was a light, beautiful voice, and before he even realized it he was walking towards it. Each step brought the voice into clearer focus, and after a few steps Luffy was able to hear the lyrics being sung.

On a clear summer day, a small group of bandits burst loudly through the front door of a decent sized house. Opening the front door, the group of 5 paraded through the door, wide grins on each face. First through the door was Usopp, the groups marksman. He had gotten them out of many a pickle involving the Feds, luckily without a single fatality. As kaiju attacks have been going on the rise, many have been wondering what exactly a kaiju is. The First Age of Monsters is a subject that has been under taught in schools, seen as just a string of coincidental freak accidents and little more. Now that we are experiencing the Second Age of Monsters, it has become clear that the giant creatures are much more than that. Yet what makes a kaiju different from other animals? How do they come to be? Precious few know the answers to these questions, and kaijuologists like myself have been working for years to improve those answers. This purpose of this short essay is to state, in layman's terms, what a kaiju is, how they come to be, and the different classes of kaiju are.
What Exactly is a Kaiju?
The word "kaiju" is Japanese. Roughly translated, it means "strange beast" or "monster."

The letter Leonardo Da Vinci received was clear and simple, yet disturbing all the same. In fact, he had to read it over several times before actually believing it. The words on the parchment were enough to shake him out of his normally poised demeanor and his stomach twisted into a tight, uncomfortable knot.
It had been a quiet, calm day today. He had spent his time painting and perfecting the flying machine, then had his evening meal in peace. Yet it as he was updating some of his medical journals under the candlelight, the messenger had arrived, rudely coming into his workshop without permission.
Angered with this, he had immediately prepared to send the man away. Yet the messenger had refused to leave and pressed a letter into his hand, urging him to read it. Still annoyed with the intrusion, the inventor had refused to do so, until the man pointed out its writer: Signora Auditore.

KAS: Of Tyrants and TerrorIt wasn't often that a monster such as Tyrantis was found in New Mexico, historically there was little kaiju activity in the area and even fewer accounts of the malicious sort which the giant dinosaur enjoyed fighting. Tyrantis was following a trail, every few miles he would catch a whiff of a putrid stench that spoke books of information of his prey. The monster was flanked by his mate, Tyranta, both doggedly following the odd scent, the female was just as intent on finding the owner as Tyrantis was. The terrain went from flat to rocky as they entered a mountainous area, this made quite a few hiding places for another monster to try and ambush the deadly pair, but very few things could catch a tyrannosaur off guard. It didn't take long until they found the source of the trail. The smell both Tyrantis and his mate were following just seemed to billow out of a gigantic cave which stood in front of them.
