There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.
The Force surrounds us and penetrates us. the Force binds the galaxy together. All living beings in space and time, and indeed space and time itself, are subject to the ebb and flow of the Force throughout the stars. There are those who can feel the Force's whispers, and are able to answer back. Such beings sensitive to the Force are born with a duty: to protect and preserve all life, as products of the Living and Unifying Force. From that duty we, the Jedi Order, emerge. We serve all life, and by extension, we serve the Force itself. The Force is the fount and sustainer of all life, and yet cannot be described as "living" itself.
The Force simply is.
Yet the Jedi, the servants of the Force, do not "simply" exist as the Force does. Our purpose is the precursor and the hypothesis of our e

People... why do you hate this movie? Come on, let's get to adult mature constructive manners - why do you hate this movie? It would make sense if you hated it because you don't care for the Star Wars franchise. But that's the funny part - you praise the original trilogy all the time in comparison, talking about this and that you thought was made wrong and overall ruined all three prequels to you, as it changed everything.
Here's the thing - the movie is only hated for the mere purpose of being different. They used a ton of CGI, they gave new styles to everything, they gave some new types of lighthearted elements, and you didn't like it therefor as it "ruined" the mood and tone and style of the original trilogy's. But that just means you prefer the way they made the original trilogy - it doesn't give you the right to bash the living shit out of the prequels for no apparent reason. But let me go through the major issues haters talk about over and over again, and let me respond to them:

Of course he won't survive.
I know of the order.
Every clone knows it.
In the back of our minds,
It festers away.
The Jedi we love,
We'll take their lives away.
Can't be helped.
We cry inside.
But we are mere robots
Of flesh design.
We obey the Sith Lord,
Against our will.
Hands cut off and tied,
While we'll take blood.
I'll one day kill my leader.
My Obi-Wan Kenobi.
I just pray it's not today.
Because if it is,
I'll pray he'll forgive me,
Plead innocence though bloody guilty.
Then I'll pray that somebody kills me.

Those that presume to take up the mantle of the dark side do so for trivial reasons. Some, consumed by their impotent rage at their own weakness, seek to shroud themselves in darkness to futilely mask their inferiority. Others simply seek an outlet for their frivolous hedonisms, abounding in debauchery simply to spite the sensibilities of other beings.
Those beings have no understanding of what it means to be Sith.
Those that do not understand will never be Sith.
To be Sith, in the very end, is to be fully autonomous in will and power. A Sith Lord and his ambitions are inextricable; it is what defines him, and what forms the central aspect of his identity. And identity is the source of a Sith's power. One's will and ambition is what defines him as a being, and in turn the fulfillmen

CIS vs GAR WarshipsCIS Warships vs. Republic warshipsCIS vs GAR Warships7 years ago in Philosophy & Perspectives More Like This
The Republic seems to have the advantage in capital ship combat, but the CIS has some equalizing advantages.
Many of the CIS warships are designed for mass production, and were designed for business scores not a full scale war. Many of the CIS leaders were cheap, and wouldnt spend the money for a traditional fleet. Only the Providences seem to be specifically designed for combat. The Lukrehulks are simply converted freighters with VERY strong shields and some turbolaser offensive capability., but with the sheer number of Turbolasers and the shield power added, with the fighter and troop compliment, a Lucrehulk is much a more battle-worthy ship than a carrier like a Venator (why it takes a flotilla to take them down). That's not bad at all for a converted ship, isn't it The Recusants are mass-produced destroyers. The Munificents are originally used to harass worlds heavily in debt, guard treasure vaults, and transfer finan

A CASE FOR CHRISTIANITY
I can't quote Scripture. I don't know much theology, and I can't speak for all the divisions of Christendom. But, as a practicing Christian, I do know a bit about my religionenough to get annoyed when ignorant people (I'm looking at you, Angry Forum Posters) consider Christianity to be hateful and Christians to be naïve.
I'm Orthodox Christian. The Orthodox Church is regarded as the original Christian church, dating back to the time of Christ. (No, the Catholic Church isn't the firstthey split from the Orthodox in 1054 over many issues.) I won't go into those details here, but if you are curious to know more, a fantastic article which explains the differences between the Orthodoxy and Catholicism can be found in the authour's comments.
Anyway, since I'm Orthodox Christian, many beliefs shared by the Orthodox will show up in the following essay.

No love for the empireAt Endor there was a huge cost for both sides involved. The Rebel Alliance lost roughly 1/5 of the fleet and with those vessels more crewmen than even I can count. These are men and women who died for a dream but we need to remember The Imperial Fleet lost people too. Not droids, not just warships but people. How much of a loss? Contradictory attributes of God?Some people, regardless if they believe or not in God make limitations on God’s power and character, based in human standards, to either disprove His existence or diminish His glory.Contradictory attributes of God?1 month ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
One of the most common arguments I hear is:
“If God is omniscient, omnibenevolent and all powerful he knows when suffering will occur (omniscience), doesn't want it to happen (omnibenevolence), and has the power to stop it (all powerful), by the nature of his character, these events would not occur. But they do occur therefore no such god exists.”
First let’s be sure we have the same definitions. According to the dictionary:
---Omni: “combining form meaning “all,” used in the formation of compound words”
---Omniscient: “having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things.”
---Benevolent: “characterized by or expressing goodwill or kindly feelings”a

I've realized that CISPA or the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act will do more harm to American citizens as well has American government than it may suggest. Instead of protecting Americans from cyber-security threats as it has suggested, it would instead force websites that your voters as well as millions of Americans use to hand over their personal information and read their emails causing very serious privacy issues. CISPA has also used extremely vague terms in order for corporations to hunt down internet users and accuse them for copyright infringement without a trial and jury. There as been only a very small speck of oversight being shown in this bill and there have also been major technological supports that were against SOPA and PIPA such as Facebook, Google and Microsoft, believing that they can actually benefit from CISPA's passing, because they think that CISPA isn't half as bad as SOPA. This is a deception. CISPA is a million

It's been two years now. I've been grinding through this infernal, everyday routine; pushing the leads on little electronic parts through holes on circuit boards and handing them to the next convict in line for soldering. The factory is full of the noise and bustle of other laborers all around me, but I don't think I've ever felt the chill of a more inhuman or derelict surrounding. Despite the misleading warm light that falls from the small windows near the ceiling, none of us know what's going on in the outside world. I'm not sure any of them do, either.
I try not to think about it, but I remember the lawsuit like it was yesterday. But it was real, and when my attorney signed that agreement, and I heard the judge deliver the verdict, I knew w

From A Closet of Sin to Hope In Christ"We gays can't help that we're born as we are" I’ve heard it said. We humans can't help that we're born into a fallen world any more that we can help the bullying environment of sin that’s forced onto us. Sin is like a spiritual cancer; that if not dealt with in time, will kill us. Yet in the same instance it’s so pleasing to indulge we don’t even know we’re dying. From A Closet of Sin to Hope In Christ1 year ago in Emotional More Like This
All sin, no matter the form it's in, is addictive, and if we choose to submit to it, it becomes our addiction. And often we find ourselves submitting to it; sometimes purposefully, sometimes without even realizing it till it’s too late.
I will gladly admit that I'm addicted to it just as everyone else is, because I’m human. But because I’m human, because I’m made in the image of Christ, I don’t want to be addicted to sin. I want freedom; I want Christ.
That said, there is a contrast between the LORD’s followers and the followers of the world. The Christian's g

The bus was late. In the four switches Ben had made so far, he had come to accept lateness as an unavoidable part of this mode of travel. The first three times, he had been irritated. Now, at a little after eleven at night, he really didn’t care. If the bus was at least running, he would be happy. Working air conditioning was a bonus. Timeliness was asking too much.
He wished he could call Mae again, even though he had just talked to her half an hour ago. It had been a little over two weeks since he had seen his fiancée, and hearing her voice helped ease his frustration. But it was late, and she had gone to bed. She would still answer, he knew, and talk as long as he needed, but he didn’t want to keep her up.
Instead, Ben just sat at the little station, staring almost listlessly into his paper coffee cup. He let his mind wander. Of all places, it went to the station’s seating arrangements.

The Hypocrisy of AtheismI speak purely from my own experiences. The Hypocrisy of Atheism4 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This

I have atheists complain about Christian signatures, stamps, and deviations. Yet they have faved or created their own in support of atheism.
I have atheists complain to me, saying they don't like me talking about God and telling them about Him. They don't want to be converted. Yet they also spend their time trying to convince me that atheism is right and I see them talking to others and trying to convert them to atheism.
I have atheists tell me that Christians are rude and mean. Yet I've only had atheists cuss me out, personally insult me, give me condescension, quite literally stalk me around DA, give me links to pornography, and bombard me with vulgar sexual comments.
I cannot count the times atheists complain that Christi
If God is love why is there suffering in the worldBelievers and non-believers have asked this same question. If God is love why is there suffering in the world2 years ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
It’s like a way to blame God for all that is happening all around the world. To have an excuse to not believe, or to disobey.
I recently read someone’s conversation in the internet about this topic and that inspired me to write this.
If you want to mix God’s love and suffering. First you have to ask yourself “why is there suffering?”
Why is there suffering in the world?
Because sin ruined a perfect creation.
Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4). When we break God’s law, we turn our backs to Him. When Adam and Eve sinned they threw away their perfection and embraced imperfection. Our relationship with the creator was damaged; and we were separated from Him (Isaiah 59:2).
The law reflects the character of God; therefore if you act against the law you act against God Himself.
The law of God is1: eternal, good, just, righteous, pure, perfect, truth, peace, honorable,
