Very few animated movies are what I would call "timeless treasures". Don Bluth's The Secret of Nimh, a gem that endeared itself to me during my childhood, is just such a timeless treasure. The animation is lush and expressive, recalling the old glory days of Disney. Ironically, Don Bluth left Disney in indignation while they were still in production of The Fox and the Hound, Disney's last true classic which did exactly that one year prior to The Secret of Nimh.
